This is very cool! Thank you for sharing...I never thought about creating my own pictures for the inside. Since my last one came apart, I bought a new one dreading to put it back together. But since I've seen this, I think I might tackle it and print me off some new pics...
But im realy facinated of how it works that its stuk one one side and then when you fold it i get stuck on another sidehow can somone invent that same with the rubiks cube if these things didnt exist i would be sure that these types of things would be impossible to make.
Stringing is exactly same as an 8-tile, you just use two tiles less. You really need to spend some time to understand how the stringing works, and then realise that the strings will always converge to the same spot. For example, draw an image and check where the stringing paths go.
The secret cube move describes the steps for creating a cube when using a 6-tile magic. It is not a trivial sequence of moves, it requires some experience, and whoever does it must be extremely careful when performing it, to ensure that no strings break or come off.
The Magic Dino Cube was the very first working magic puzzle (with a specific theme) which required the usage of the secret cube move. ;-)
When making this move for a 2x4 magic, it doesn't require any string stretching and it can be achieved almost naturally.
This is not the case with a 2x3 magic, as to achieve the cube form you must FORCE the strings AND simultaneously press certain parts of the puzzle. A wrong press can result to breaking a string or to have it come off.
And this is why anyone who doesn't understand the movement of the magic, is not advised to try it. I made this video because it was requested by many! ;-)

did u make that? is that magnets?
KisaKittyLove 2 years ago
Yes, I made that puzzle. The tiles are connected with strings using a well known mechanism (23 years old) which was invented by Rubik.
