Only one difficult switch - when he says you check mine , i'll chk yours he has to switch in full view. first switch doesn't count as its under the counter or behind his back. wish the camera had stayed focussed on his hand. saw 3 yellows and 3 whites on davids cube, which didn't appear on final cube.

For reassurance that the spectator's cube is swapped for a copy of the one the magician hands to the spectator, look at the spectator's cube at 1:03 as he rests it on the table. On the left side, there's three reds making a bar along the green center side. Yet, that red bar on the green side is gone when they examine the two cubes, all because the magician handed his preconfigured cube, swapped the spectator's mixed cube for a copy of the preconfigured cube, and presented it as the spectator's.

This trick is simple. When the spectator pulls the cube out, the magician takes it from him and places his (magician's) already configured cube and places it in front of the spectator. Then, as the spectator looks down (misdirection) he exchanges the spectator's scrambled cube with a cube arranged in the same order as the pre-configured one he handed to the spectator. The spectator's cube is removed from the 'show' and the magician displays two of the same cubes.

Nope, nor would you see it in person, because the magician places his cube down, causing misdirection as the spectator examines the magician's cube (inherently suspicious, too) expecting something. At 1:03 he drops his configured cube infront of the spectator, picks up the spectators, the spectator looks down at the magician's cube, and then at 1:05 the magician swaps the cube quickly for a clone of the one he handed, discarding the spectators.

Its actually very simple. He has 4 cubes total. Two which are hidden behind the bar. At 0:32 he picks up one of the two that are hidden, and hands it to david, than at 1:04 he picks up david's cube and exchanges it with the second cube that he has hidden behind the bar. :)

Not quite. He never hands David one of the pre-prepared cubes. He turns his back, and exchanges the pristine cube for the pre-prepared one under the bar. THen, after they are done mixing, he hands david the prepared one, and takes davids. he then switches david's for the second preprepared cube under the bar. I didn't read your post closely enough the first time.

Yes, the 'clever' editing hides any mis-direction happening that the viewer might see. For David Krumholtz he will not have seen any mis-direction and therefore it will have been a nice reveal for him.

The problems of doing such tricks on a medium that can be paused really. Lesson for Keith is don't do a trick that can be guessed by pausing it.

However, as he's so lazy that he left the details of a gaffed deck fully in view in one trick he sometimes isn't that careful.

I'm no great fan of Barry's but for David that would have been a nice trick. There is a certain amount of skill involved there and when you find out how most tricks are done you will realise that they are mostly 'gay tricks'. The best tricks are sometimes the simplest.

Hey guys cool down, take a look at time 1:03 of the video. In David's hand, the left side of the cube has got 3 reds on top (one side). This pattern is not seen when Keith compares the cubes. It clearly says that Keith changes David's cube at time 1:04 while David is looking at Keith's cube (rather than following his own cube). It is very simple trick but very nice performance :)

There is no magic, no staging and no scripting involved. The method used is purely suggestion. Anyone familiar with the work of Derren Brown will know what I'm talking about. It simply involves Keith slipping miniscule suggestions to David in order to influence the direction in which he turns the Rubik's cube. These may have been a hand gesture before they began scrambling the cubes, a head or shoulder movement.

Now when it's time to show the results instead of grabbing the cube he was twisting Keith grabs the premade cube and hands that to david to distract him while he quickly switches the cube david was twisting with the other premade one
