  • can you use your arrows again?

  • That was the shittiest arrow flight I think I've ever seen.

  • nice targets! see i live in the city and dont have much room to shoot and cant set up forest targets :(

  • :29 sec mark, your van is torn off.. video is teh ghey.

  • imho his nock set is wrong and his rest isnt correctly lined up. but he is sighted into how his bow shoots for sure..lol wonder how long that took

  • i have those targets in my back yard. lol

  • Your arrow seems to be traveling very wonky. Have you ever tried paper tuning it to see if your rest height/nock point needs adjusting? Take a look at 1:10 on the video.

    Nice video.

  • @kmachman Thats what i as thinking, what blows my mind is he is still shooting groups like that.

  • nature never stand there and wait to be killed. It kill you before you think about using the bow to kill it.

  • Were was the 33333333DDDDDDDDDDD!, and im not sure lions and geese live in forests.

  • @TheMisterRedonkulis Rubber ones do.

  • que tales tiros!!!!!!1 felicitaciones

  • hes a badass.............

  • Your arrow was on backwards in the scene at :25.

Actually it looks like your nock is on crooked.

  • i just bought a bow like that for 20.00

  • God, I hate the use of rock music over videos like this. Do you think it makes either the setting or the shots seem heroic ? You're doing some relatively simple stuff with a compound bow - so what?

  • arrow flight shown on the lion shot probably due to incorrect arrow spine choice, nock height, etc.

Arrow spine specsifications MUST be matched to the bow you are shooting OR ...

    "piggly wiggly" flight patterns appear.

  • Hi! please tell me the title of music. Thanks

  • Yeah tune that bow up, and get better form. Did you notice the bow and the relation to the rest,@ 1:13? the Nock point looks likes it's 1 &1/2 inches above zero, And yes, that is an incorrect rest for finger shooting, get a timberdoodle. I have a friend here (Dee Wilde) says a little biased is ok, as long as your groups is good, But that looked liked it was launched with a bottle rocket.

    Martin Scepter II @ 64#, 29 1/2" draw

    Easton Acc 's

    fineline sight-fixed

    Timberdoodle Rest

    30" stabilzer.

  • wow it looks like this guys bow is from the early 90s. get with the times get a new bow and try technohunt

  • wrong style arrow rest for shooting with fingers.

yes you can shoot a compound with fingers, ever hear of Chuck Adams? Or maybe Dan Fitzgerald?

  • shooting Compound bow with fingers? WTF

  • This dude is shooting junk but it's still a cool video. The vibrations that are supposed to happen are tiny spiral flexes along the spine of the arrow. He just has his rest setup to one side of the plane formed by a firing bowstring giving him that horrible fishtail

  • damn! those animals takes ages to die!

  • now do it traditional, no sights ... nothin ...

  • I'm going to make a video like this when 3D shooting starts next Spring. I'll get white fletchings so you can see the arrow flight well. I'll shoot my best effort either way but I'm trying to decide if I should make it serious or funny. Which would you prefer to see? (Thanks for this video Butchsundance)

  • why is this retard sneaking up on 3d targets?

  • Shooting fingers he will get some archers paradox. But the view of the arrow flight on the lion shows it spinning huge loops. We all started there before understanding bow tuning and arrow flight. Severe windmill like this indicates nothing good about the bow setup, arrow spine or shooter form. I would say all three are bad. Arrow flight like that would only wound an animal due to poor penetration. Makes me want to dress up like a dumb ass and shoot 3D.

  • UMMMMMMM ...... That bow is WAY OUT!!!!!

  • I love all the braggers on here, especially the ones saying that bow brand XX is better than YY, etc. Any yo-yo can shoot a mechanized contraption (I won't call them bows) with 80% let-off, a release aid and sights. Go get a real bow and see how much you brag.

  • hey, is that a proline point blank? If so i shoot one too and i LOVE it. even though it is an older compound

  • that's one cheap and nasty bow you have there man

  • @vjanda1 I shoot the same bow but mine is tuned correctly and the arrows dont fishtail. its a GREAT bow

  • @spencerlax18 It's a toy. I shoot a 70lbs Hoyt Katera XL and a Matthews 80 lbs Switchback XT.

  • the video was made in 2005! so why does he have a 1985 bow!!!!

  • hey guys i need help with my new bow. i want a bow that has 70 or 80 pound pull and my price limit is 450 dollers but it'd be awesome if i could stay lower in price, but still have good quality,

  • @limeheadrickey i have a Bear Charge and really like it, its $299 for bow, or $399 for package. Bear also has the stike $399 or 499 for package. pse and read head both make good bows in your price range. The Martin saber package looks like a great deal to me but havent heard much about it. best bet is going to bow store or bass pro and picking out the one you like best. hope this helps D:

  • @limeheadrickey pse bow madness is good probbably for what your looking for anything pse

  • its cause hes shooting fingers if he had a release it would eliminate a lot of that

  • Pretty dramatic arrow-withdrawal from the lion!! Almost Samurai-like! What's up with the spiralling arrow? Can you spell "tuning"?

  • all of you shit for brains its not his vains its not his bow its his arrows they are over spined which means the arrow is to stiff to fly straight

  • i am arguing with a friend about archery. i bowhunt and he just shoots at targets. he says hes better that me because he has a compound and i hunt with a recurve. he can shoot a target at 80 yards but he has a compound, he knows what distance it is and his target wont move. i shoot wildlife at random unknown distances with a traditional recurve hunting bow and my targets are hidden and will run away on sight. so who has the most skills and patience??

  • @troodon2 them are 2 different philosphies, I shoot wildlife with my compound, but I admire who shots "istinctive shots". Istinctive shoting requires more skill imho.

  • He is Robinhod

  • @hungherooo Robin Hood, learn how to spell...

  • Rofl @ the top rated comments. Both of those fools do not understand the Archers Paradox of an arrow's flight path and movement @ the point of release and during flight.

  • if you idiots that are hateing would have realized he was shooting aluminum arrows thats the main reason they are fish tailing

  • If you look closely at the (cheap) vanes on his arrows you can see some creasing. (Probably) having some Fletching Contact issues with the rest.

    Just bad Tuning altogether...............

  • i don't like the compound bows, i use the traditional long bow, no sights or any gadgets, 100% old school.

  • @tedw56 flew like sh!t didnt it. lol

  • Hes using a fuckin junior bow

  • @Slouis613 because he is a junior archer

  • what is 'tuning'?

  • @themilkmister "tuning" refers to the way the timing of the cams on the bow. At 1:10 the you can tell that the tuning of the bow is off by the way that the arrow comes off the rest, one of the cams finishes its rotation way before the other, reducing the speed of the arrow as well as the arrows flight path.

  • @georgelopezlover1 what are cams

  • @themilkmister cams are the circle things on teh end of the limbs

  • @georgelopezlover1 "tuning" is more than just synching the cams (2 cam bows only). It is setting the nock point for flat vertical flight and also setting the arrow rest horizontal position for proper straight horizontal flight. Of course in properly spined arrows, tourqing the grip or a bad release will make it fly like a "tuned" bow is out of tune.

  • nice shots

  • wheres the target shaped like another archer???

  • He's a decent shot, but the release could be a little smoother. Try more "back tension"; the release should almost be a surprise...even for a finger shooter. I am not arguing with the proficiency of the feller in the video...nice, consistent, well-placed shots for sure!

  • nice

  • the shaky arrow happens alot when you shoot compound w/ fingers. dont think the groups were fake. pretty much the guy is a good archer getting some great practice in. most of the people who commented on this video are completely oblivious.

  • @briargoatkilla shaky? you mean "fishtailing" and "porpoising".

  • @batkinson1969 - yeah thats it. i can tell when i'm outclassed! i got a 1990 bear silent hunter that shoots 210fps . i shoot walmart arrows that bobble a little bit if i throw up and shoot too quick. i shoot whatever broadheads i can find for under 25 bucks a pack. i am also the deer killinest sumbitch i know. for me, bowhunting is about getting on the deer, not how high tech your equipment is. good hunting!

  • this is fake cause at 1:09-1:12 wheres the other camera man?!?!?

  • @DTWSkater erm.. camera in tree?

  • @vezmovies dought it, u still wuold have been able to see it

  • Erm... Who makes a lion as a target? lol

Other than that great video :P

  • WHATS THE SONG?!?!!?

  • ok maybe the drop is 2 ft at 80 yds but isnt that what pins are for come on dork you need more long range practice and a set of balls you only live once 2 bad you never got to play god from almost a football field away with an arrow

  • whaha, 1:10 ,,,,, strange flying arrow

  • that looks like an old fred bear whitetail 2 ,,, yes the misses threw it away while i was in scotland,, i left her,,,,,,,, god i miss that bow

  • @scoperuk1 why miss it? It is ancient. Shoot any decent compound bow made in the last 5 years and you won't miss it any more.

  • Comment removed

  • What the FUCK was that shitty music? Im gonna go clean out my brain with some Van Halen now...

  • I got the same bow GOOD SHOOTIN TEX

  • Whats this guys name rambo?

  • he's using a golden eagle predator i have the same bow

  • Here's to hoping you all have a little accident with your bows. HEAR HEAR!

  • @diggyddogg nope :) getting better and better!! cant wait for elk season

  • damn thats an old ass bow you got there you shoot well too, imagine with the new technologie =) peace

  • why change the music

  • Shooting groups kike that with a bow out of tune is not impossible. his penetration wasnt all that bad considering the bow he was using

  • Did you see the arrow flight on that first lion shot?!! LOL This guy's bow is so far out of tune I almost fell out of my seat. It is a miracle he can hit anything.

  • @batkinson1969 i know, that looks like an older style compound bow that hasnt had a tune up scince its been bought. Well, if he can shoot well with it, maybe he shouldnt mess with it at all.

  • No offense, buty you don't understand what bow "tuning" is. Old or new the arrow should fly in straight line. Not fishtail and porpoise all over like this guys arrow. Those groups are fake. The video was a joke and not serious.

  • so my eyes didn't cheated me on that arrow fishtalling away... well if all targets are at the same distance and the fistailing is constand he could make a hit, maybe even group...

you right, this video is at least to some degree faked.

  • Yes, if the targets were exactly the same distance a poorly tuned bow can group well. You would see the arrows aligned and parralel to each other. If that were the case you would have extremly poor penetration. I would then challenge you to step back 5 yards and do it again. No chance.

I enjoy this video for it's comedy rather than reality.

  • @batkinson1969 It is called archers paradox and is unavoidable.....

  • @TheCFTube Yes, all arrows flex upon release (archer's paradox) but not nearly to that extreme. The flex is exaggerated since he is using fingers. However, if you watch a video of someone who knows what they are doing and you won't see that type of arrow flight at all.

  • @batkinson1969 When your bow is flying to the target it goes in straight line??

I don't think so! See other videos or better a video from the olympic games to be sure that it isn't a joke!

  • @KAROULDI my BOW stays dead in my hand. My arrow is not PERFECTLY straight in flight as flexation of the shaft with proper spine is normal and desired for maximum energy transfer from the bow to the arrow. However my best shots look like a dart from start to finish. There is less than an inch of "tail". My worst shots have a couple inches of tail movement at most. This guy has a over a foot of out of straightness in arrow flight. It really shows the effectiveness of the weapon though.

  • @batkinson1969 no offense but you are a really big dumb ass, when the projectile hits the object of course is gonna fishtail like that

  • @theweirdthings bitch he's talking about during flight

  • @DeutschlandSiegHeil oh ok ya i saw that one

  • @batkinson1969 actually arrows should fly straight, please don't be smart if you don't know what you're talking about.

  • @klemensss I want my arrows to fly PERFECTLY straight. But even a properly tuned bow shot with a mechanical release the arrow flexes at the time of launch. With only minor disturbance in flight, the arrow will stabilize in a few feet as the fletchings and arrow rotation correct any imperfection in flight. My father watched me shoot last night from behind me and said it looked like it flew perfectly straight other than the arc due to gravity. I was shooting 30 yds at ~280 fps with broadheads.

  • Lion Puma really

  • is this NFAS?

  • that bow is way out of tune if you watch at 1:10 min

  • yeah, I thought the same thing when I saw it

  • or it might because hes using a shooting glove ... not a release like hes supossed to .. if you want to shoot a compound ... you better shoot with a release aid of some type...the string spins when you shoot with your fingers thats wht caused the arrow to unstabilize i think ...

  • you know i did not even catch that he was shooting fingers till you pointed it out.

  • yup... plus hes using one of those older models of compound bows ... idk ... he gets good groups tho ...

  • Those groups are fake. Watch him pull the 3 arrows on the lion. One of them is sunk into the target the other two are barely in the foam. No chance to group with the arrow flight this guy has.

  • in experince shows,,,, in the nfaa there is a class called barebow limited that coumpound with fingers.

  • i didnt know that .. tanks for correcting me ...

  • @tedw56 dude if you were a finger shooter like me you would kno that finger shooters arrows go from right to left and release shooters arrows go up and down, my arrows do that and i have 8 robinhoods im 14!

  • @archeryhunter24 8 robbinhoods from what 20 yards

    anyone can hit them close

but it takes persistence and a lot of practice to hit them far away

  • @EricRuGG dude im only 13 8 robinhoods.... how many you got??

  • @tedw56 its arrow kick from plastic fletching..if it was feathers it would fly just fine, way more flex..this happens alot with plastic vanes..the old hand made primitive arrows fly better than modern carbon fiber plastic bullshit.i make hazel and viburnum, and they shoot great even with a modern compound bow.at 70LB draw.i use goose or turkey feathers.have a good day

  • @tedw56 I think you're very wrong!! I'm pretty sure that the guy's bow and of course everybody elses is flying like this!!

  • very few people can say they killed a deer with a graphite arrow at 80 yds ... i can until someone shows me some shit like that then ill be impressed... the 20 yd shots were for recurves and weak bows todays bows have plents of power to do the job at 150 yds no problem but the 80 yd bow shot will be remembered by the 4 witnesses who were smoking shit while we were huntin.... im glade because it was more of a thrilll and a realization that a good bow is better than a shotgun any daY and mystical

  • I have my sights set to 100 yards. When you are shooting 300fps 100 yards is really nothing, but the archery must have a lot of control, the slightest wobble and the arrow will go wildly off targen.

Any shot 50+ yards out on a live animal is hard when you have so much adrenaline pumping!

Most of my treestand shots are within 20 yards.

  • Actually, very few people would be disrepectful enough of the animal to take such a shot. Even at 300 fps you will be dropping by feet not inches at 80 yds. That means you better have a laser range finder even if you can make those shots.

  • using a crapy martain

  • Nice shooting..

  • in a real life situation you would wait for the doe to move out of the way then you would fling that arrow at him.

  • how much would one of the 3d targets run for?

  • lots. the pain is when u fire an arrow into the foam its lodged in there like a friggen pole in cement.

  • it depends on what kind anywhere from $69-$1500

  • compounds are too easy

  • that was a poor flying arrow on the lion

  • but he still had a really good group...he should jus switch to carbon...the difference and 20 yards is like 2 feet

  • I think that lion was about to run!

  • Great shooting, but I can't understand why he was sneaking up on a plastic cougar...

  • because the video is a spoof. Fake groups. no chance.

  • Comment removed

  • wow, your cool.

  • this guy needs to learn how to extract arrows properly. He'll end up bending the shafts, doing it like that!

  • good job!

  • I know a guy who took down a elephant with a straw and a spit wad... Every thought about shooting with elastic bands? You could tumble around and use your thumb knuckle as the sight. Thinking about it, catch one of those son bitches in the eye and its lights out for the fake lion.

  • mm was that a lion lol

  • I cant get over the bow enthusiasts dissing each other here. Would it be to difficult to think that others might like different bows? Man with all the antis out there trying to stop our sport we should be supportive of each other. Good video, and good shooting. If you can do so much better, post your video. Hope shooters wont make fun of you.

  • Actually this is more fun than the Mathews forum. It is all in good fun.

  • just shoot there head, its more effective

  • i say that using those sights on the compound bows is cheating try and use a traditional longbow or recurve , their just as effective if u have good aim, i know a guy who brought down a polar bear at 75 yards

    nice shooting though

  • yeah right a fuckin polar bear at 75 yards how many ponds any where under 75 pound pull is not going to have enough kenitic energy and no there are no recurves or longbow that can go up to 80 pounds asshole

  • clearly u have no clue about recurve of long bows because there are longbows that are around 120 pounds and yes u can pull that if u have good technique not cams and sights with a compound bow u might as well be using a gun with the sights and the reduced draw weights

  • DrummerBoy167 is correct. English longbows are well over 75 lbs. Shooting a Polar Bear at 75 yds and actually killing it would be pure luck or more likely a "tall tale".

  • JFMMS. What the fuck kind of jumbled up bullshit is this? One, learn how to write. Two, POUNDS aren't the only criteria in kinetic energy there Bill Nye the science guy

  • @JFMMS wow you are dumb.. you can easily get a longbow or recurve well above 80 pounds... haha retard lmao

  • @JFMMS Come see the bear

he has it stuffed in his shop

he sad it was 75 yards i think it was more like 50

  • even though I just busted the guy that replied to you, I think you are full of shit. Try shooting a compound and then talk

  • With my 30.06 I shoot them in the neck. It is like hitting them with a sledgehammer. They always drop like a used condom. With a bow it has to be lungs or heart or you are only wounding them.

  • but if you use a bow then you are considered a better hunter cuz you have to sneak up on the animal

  • OMG why are you shooting things that resemble animals??!!!

haha just kidding had to poke some fun at our buddies who cant get over the fact that hunting will never stop. good shooting

  • Good shooting

  • What´s that song called on the begining?

  • Look At that gear Mans thats Old Shit!!!! What Year was this!!!!!

  • i prefer recurve

  • ';'

  • is that the bear buck I or II because that looks like my buddys bow

  • what draw weight is that bow?

  • good shooting, but i prefer recurve

  • what distance(s) are you shooting from at those targets?

  • nice shooting! especially on the lion! man that's accurate. i have a 25 lbs compound bow, would 330 grain aluminium arrows fit it well?

  • so ur 30 and u only pull 25 pounds...dude...just get a more powerful bow, im 14 and im pulling 50 pounds

  • yea im 14 too and i just got a 60 pound bow if you cant pull more then 40 pound and ur 30 boy u need to start lifting some weights.

  • ya but im the size of a 2nd grader! im only 84 pounds and not even 5 feet!

  • well....uhm....thats...good to know?

  • ya thats great im jus saying im a beast in a lil bod! k? u should get out more

  • uhm wow i dont know if your just stupid or....stupid.

  • haha lol i'm not really 30 i'm just 16 and i got this as a starter bow. now i'm shooting 50 pound longbows confortably. soon i plan to shoot medieval warbows at 70-80 pounds.

  • oh yea but still ya i tried a sixty pound recurve but i can only shoot about 6 shots without shaking too much so i use a compound..ya the mideval war bows didnt shoot that fast though, they just had a lot of tension

  • the second shot is from 16m distance??

  • haha...geese

  • lol omg hes sneakin up on fake animals haha watch out man they might run away lol!!!!!!!!!

  • hahahaha thats so fucking sad...

  • 3d archery looks liek a lot of fun. I'm very much interested in medievel weapons, vikings and stuff like that, so I dont really like compound bows. allthough I think the technique of that bows is very smart and interessting

  • God If My bow was that bad out of tune that my arrow was doind pirroettes on the way to the target, I believe I wouldn't post it

  • Geez, did you see his arrow break dancing going down range?

  • Try using a traditional bow, what's the mater, you need a mechanical one to cheat? Why don't you just shoot with a semi - automatic? Or maybe you should work out a little so you are not so weak. Must be american. G n R sucks

  • i must agree, these bows are no fun imo.
