@shelbonovitch go to the door in middle of 2nd floor,then climb the stairs and enter the door at top, go to left and enter the door you'll find then you'll find a picture of a Tiny Goomba (Tiny Island) and from a Huge Goomba (Huge Island) but the picture in your front won't warp you. There are the same pictures to the sides, the left one is Tiny Island and the right one is the Huge Island.

A really easy way to kill Piranha Flowers is Slide-Kick. While running press L (Z) +B

well i have the DS kind and i jumped on this red log thing in the corner of the plants and a big red mushroom came.wen i ate it i became big and squished all the plants!lol and i still got the star

You don't have to jump on their heads. Just punch the stem.

LOL, i saw the 16 star speed run, and yeah the Virtual Console versions of games are EXACT copies of the originals, so I imagine that its still possible.
