The first one's an F-15 assigned to the USAF Weapons School at Nellis (note the WA on the tail). This aircraft probably isn't involved with Red Flag.

the first one was f-18 after f-5s then the two f-16s after f-15 and f-18 and at last the gripens is that right?? i am not sure about f-15 and f-18

Its not an F-18, their aren't any in the video. Its either an F-15 or F-16 and yes that is a Gripen.

those Gripens ain't shit compared to the F-15s

Gripen is lighter and smaller which =more manuverable, in a dogfight agility means life. Still with a hot stick in either plane it'd be a toss up as speed is about even.

@WardogOtter gripen is ridiculously underpowered which means in a close dogfight it would lose by an f16 except if it didn 't even carry some fuel tank then it would win

Yeah that first 1 came in real fast. But didnt use a chute, those canards really help it stop!

The gripen have no chutes installed.

they only use canard, the air brake in the rear, and of course NOSE & rear brakes.

I've seen this year F4 Phantoms from Germany,they must use chutes because otherwise they run out of the runway.thanx for the info.

Those are JAS 39 Gripens from the Swedish Air Force, and yeah that first one came in real fast!

There were F5s at a base I was at in Viet Nam and the one thing that impressed me was four guys changing an engine by hand
