I'm twenty minutes in and I have to say that this film is gorgeous... BUT why are all the male characters either buffoons or criminals so far? Why did they change the sex of the main character? Maybe they figure it would be more traumatic seeing a blind woman going through all kinds of hardship... Anyway this is still getting a thumbs up from me!

@hamun3216 Just finished watching this film to the end and it was AWESOME! great cinematography and beautifully arranged action.For those out there wondering, just as I was, why they changed the sex of the main character; Ichi is actually Zatoichi's daughter. Hope that's not a spoiler, but there you have it. THIS IS A MUST WATCH FILM!!!!

I liked this, it assembles alot of the old school black & white, elements from the original like the dice gambling scene, CLASSIC! I like this remake and yes Toma is a pain in the ass.

Thanks Funimation for uploading this wonderful movie. It was such an incredible movie, clarifies all about the samurai fighting. I really enjoy this movie, too bad the ending was a bummer, I actually drop a few tears. :( By the way, the main actress is pretty gorgeous and absolutely beautiful. Hoping for more movies like this kind. =D Funimation's philosophy should not be ,"You should be watching," but instead, "You Need to be watching!"
