  • Uncle Peter!!

  • i'm 26, but i was brought up on a great diet of comedy by my family and i remember this from when it came out (early 90's)

  • the monkeys face on the left at 1:13 always cracked me up.

  • Over to Whisky and Brandy Bond, let's see what they've "dug up" this week. Ehhhmmm.

    (Cue monkey running past)

I almost piss myself at that bit.

  • Does anyone know why they associate Hugh Scully with all them monkeys?

  • @petemcnumber14 I don't know but it's effing hilarious.

  • Wait for it!

    Just perfect!

  • It never occured to me that the presence of the monkeys was never explained, I hardly noticed them because they blended in to how weird it already was.

  • Wait for it...

  • Hah! Im in Gravesend, Kent xD

  • i used to be able to quote this video verbatim. class.

  • Brilliant. ^^

  • You either like it or you don't. There's no big joke to get, stop looking for it. If you really want a joke to get then it's how bizarre and irrelevant can Vic and Bob make their jokes? They just pick a scenario then do completely unrelated things within it.

Saw a comment where someone wanted to know to what purpose this sketch was looking - WHAT?! What purpose does *any* comedy serve?

Don't like it? Just leave it. Don't take cheap shots at belittling people who do like it, you just embarrass

  • Eghmmmhhmmmm...

  • classic, "cornetto observation booth" such an unbelievable comment

  • I'm from Coventry!

    Cheers please! :-p

  • As an American, i'll take the sheer non-ironic fun of Reeves and Mortimer or The Young Ones over Gervais, Fry, Laurie, and the like ANYDAY!

  • Classic.

  • Mortimer was sublime as Hugh Scully. Mmmmmmm.

  • this is top class, still as funny as when i first watched it!!, bang on milthorpe80 and gibbo118!!

  • This is funny because it is so very random! I mean, back when this was aired, very few programmes had the audacity to be this random and outrageous! If you don't find this funny... You should get out more. Oh and you obese Americans who are commenting on this; please go and watch a sitcom, I heard it's what you folk like. But how can you choose? There's only a couple hundred of them...

  • I thought you were raising your gateposts... gateposts.

  • Coventry is shit.

  • @Alembic25

    Hurrah!

  • ...Or should I say DOCTOR X!

  • Is that because you sit on the couch every saturday with a pack up lunch watching celebrity come dancing, LOL.....then you talk about it like it was real good the next day S.A.D

  • Um, yes? (??)

  • This is class. This is superb. Judging by alot of the comments on here either A-Your too young to remember such fine comedy or B- You have no sense of humour whats so ever.

This is comedy at its best.

  • Or C - American, although that might be covered by category B.

  • @Gibbo118

    Oh, snap!

  • @Gibbo118 pretty unfair considering references to Coventry are just as foreign to us Americans as references to, I don't know, Boston or Philadelphia would be to a Brit.

I thought we were all in agreement that Germans were the ones without a sense of humor. Unless you consider Henning Wehn funny...

  • @SwadianFC

I wet myself watching Henning Wehn!!!

An embarassing coincidence which led me to stop drinking such large quantities of alcohol.

  • @trentmuch1 hahaha well put

  • @Gibbo118 ahem. some of us have enough taste to only watch britcom on youtube!

  • @Milthorpe80 I wholeheartedly agree, although part of me thinks, nay, KNOWS that growing up on this is definetely a factor in myself turning out so peculiar :D

  • @Milthorpe80

IMO, it was a long way off Big Night Out.

  • @Milthorpe80 Me and mate watched this throughout the 90's, we've never laughed so much, even after 10 years we were still making references to the quality quotes.

  • And you never will.

  • Yeah and American comedy is masses apart from British comedy. :/

  • Trust me, shooting stars (the show this was from) was hilarious. It probably was a little immature but it made me laugh every time :). That's all that matters I guess

  • Don't mean to be pedantic but this was actually from the Smell of Reeves and Mortimer not Shooting Stars.

It doesn't get much more farout than this (unless its something else Vic & Bob have done lol), I just wish they hadn't got sidetracked with Shooting Stars and Families At War et al. Whilst those were ok (well Shooting Stars was superb actually), for me I think Vic & Bob were at their absolute finest on the Smell of Reeves & Mortimer.

  • MONKIES!!!

  • they just dont make comedy like this anymore, its a shame

  • the monkeys wtf vic and bob r mental

  • Wait for it........Kent!! LMAO!!

  • donkeh!

  • hahahah i love this show. got any more?
