  • Love the concept HATED the Music , , actually turened it off mid way cause it was giving me a headache

  • so ur solution is to kill plants...yup thats solving our environmental problems

  • @narutojose2 Last time I checked, plants were a renewable resource. So the problem using them is???

  • @miamivice966 Well next time check twice because the more this earth dies the less renewable plants will be especially that your using them to create more pollution because they might run on that but the same thing still comes out in the end, unwanted gas.

  • @narutojose2 Ummmm, ok. Biodiesel burns clean, with lower emissions. So lets see... we can't use oil, which has a finite supply. We can't use plants, even though they are renewable, because it causes the earth to die? Right. I hate to break it to you, but the earth has been around for millions of years. There is nothing WE (humans) are going to do to affect it in the long term short of a nuclear disaster whether thats a war or an accident. So I'm genuinely curious. What is YOUR solution?

  • this is one scary background song...sigh..whats the name of the song?

  • does it keep the power and torque ?

  • That is some crazy f*&%in music.

  • so whats the gas milage then?

  • It doesn't matter, if you've got a steady suppply of free veggie oil from a restarunt you can use as much as you want and not spend a scent at the pump. I've heard that some trucks actually run more efficently on veggie oil. This is the solution for gearheads like us who arn't afraid to get their hands dirty, for all the leftist pussies there are hybrids.

  • yea ive been really promoting veggie oil, its the best, its free, better for the environment, and you can carry alot glodenfuelsystems(.)com is a great place, I cant wait to get my h1 with a conversion, i was just wondering what it was like on diesel, thats all, lol

  • The first diesel ran off of corn oil. The more you know :)

  • No, it was peanut oil, not corn oil. When Rudolf Diesel first revealed his prototype engines in the 1890s these ran on peanut oil and as early as 1912 Diesel argued that the use of vegetable oils for engine fuels might one day become "as important as petroleum and the coal-tar products of the present time". That now seems to be coming true as engineers look at what can be achieved using biodiesel rather than petrodiesel.

  • i agree it was peanut oil ... one of the best inventions of the world ... the diesel engine the only engine that can use more than diesel fuel as fuel ...

  • most annoying fucking music i've ever heard

  • do you lose or gain power with that? what steered you away from biodiesel instead of vegi oil? isnt vegi oil more expensive? even more than diesel?

  • haha veggie oil is FREE! You go to a restaurant, find the grease bin, take some oil home, clean it, and put it in your truck. Its that simple. For everyone whos not afraid to get their hands dirty, veggie oil is the solution, not hybrids.

  • uh.. taking dirty cooking oil from a restaurant and cleaning it is part of BIODIESEL, not vegi-oil

  • I hate Hummers, but I run my car with WVO...

I think that a small car running on diesel fuel are more friendly of a H1 on veg...

  • p1 - Crackhead, with the H1's military history it's probably designed to run any locally available fuel, in times of strife and fuel shortages it can function on veg based oils.

Rudolph Diesel's engine ran on Peanut oil, a fact buried by the oil giants, who didn't really want to lose out on the revenue, so named their distillation by-product "Diesel" and

  • p2 - people put 2 and 2 together. Any diesel engine will run on it, the weak point is the inj pump which may or may not handle the heavier vegoil, which becomes relevant the further you are from the tropics. The H1 looks as if it's running a 2 tank system, so has a heat exchanger to warm the (100%) vegoil from the "big" tank to around 80° so it's as

  • p3 - thin as diesel, the smaller tank is diesel and used to start and warm the motor, and to flush the injection system through before shutting it down.

Vegoil has a comparable cetane rating to diesel, no sulphur - that's added to diesel as lubricant, and it's CO2 neutral as well.

  • Its mean, and green...

  • yeah, this is cool, maybe the only one H1 of this type running on vegetable oil in Europe?

  • H1 is the absolute best. Do you have any more footage of it? I am adding this video to my f6 other favortie Hummer videos. Thanks for sharing.

  • Hi, yes we have still some more footage (not much) will be added soon

  • it really runs on veg oil. what dose it take to do this from stock

  • bio fuel is fuel derived from plants, peanut, rape seed, sunflower etc, whether its used and filtered of fresh.

    svo is a bio fuel.

I run 50/50 svo and diesel in same tank, have run 100% svo before in summer, need to change filter after first few 100 miles, it is good at freeing pipe deposits.

    Is this the 6.5td?
