  • This trailer make the movie seem too childish :-\ the movie itself is one of my favourite movies ever.

  • saw it in 3d 3d effects were amazing

  • This HAS To Be My Favorite Movie Of All Time.

  • Cannot believe this was in the Best Picture category with The Silence of the Lambs. Psychopaths meet Family-oriented Disney.

  • 0:57 what's with the "stupid" in place of "sure"? And 1:03 transcribed audio should say filled with FUN not violence!

  • GAY!!!!!

  • Walt Disney himself would be proud.

  • this whips aladin and the lion king

  • its on swedish tv right now!! :)

brought me right back to my childhood!

I´m a30 year old man and I love every second of this movie! :))

  • Who knows where can i download the original 1991 version?

  • Were doing a musical on this(: so excited!!!

  • Who's going to watch this in 3D in the theaters on january 2012?

  • Wow, one of the few really good trailers for this film! Leave it to the original trailer to pull it off (unlike Tangled *cough*)

  • My childhood I remember watching the shit out of this on VHS now I feel old haha

  • they just told the whole damn story lol

  • So as a child, does anyone remember watching 1:30 and thinking "Why is a guy shooting a living clock out of a blunderbuss?"

  • The best animated movie in history, and the greatest fairytale of them all.

  • The vdeo quality is awful, so unbright and so uncolorful, which is to be expected as it was made 20 years ago.

  • in the top comment, does any one know what the comenter means by stockholm syndrome???

  • @ingridandedie In psychology, Stockholm Syndrome is a term used to describe a real paradoxical psychological phenomenon wherein hostages express empathy and have positive feelings towards their captors, sometimes to the point of defending them. These feelings are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims, who essentially mistake a lack of abuse from their captors for an act of kindness. I think that was the definition of it..

  • @ingridandedie Stockholm Syndrom : the psychological tendency of a hostage to bond with, identify with, or sympathize with his or her captor.

  • I wonder if they knew back at that the time the part about "a never forget movie" would be taken so seriously! :D A true classic that marked childhoods all over the world!

  • came out the year i was born, how weird!

  • MOST EPIC TRAILER EVER :D...Anyone who watched this back then immediately knew that it was gonna be the best movie that Disney would ever release.

Gosh, I miss old Disney, those were the good times :3

  • 20 years... LETS THROW A PARTY!!!!!

  • i get chills when i see the old disney logo showing up

  • the people watching the trailer when it came out...how many realized this was gonna be an instant classic?

  • I am so glad that I had my childhood in the 90's. I just saw the Lion King that is back. All children should see it. Let's give them a taste of real, true and old Disney magic.

  • Get excited! Disney is re-releasing four films next year - Beauty and the Beast, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, and The Little Mermaid!

  • once upon a time disney made great movies

  • Beauty and the Beast is the heartwarming story of a girl struggling with beastiality and stockholm syndrome.

  • @raggledy First off stockholm syndrome? She wasn't kidnapped, she made the bargain to release her father, she also left just a day after and chose to come back. She wasn't a hostage, and didn't go under the psychological trauma of being abducted or kidnapped. And bestiality? The most contact they ever had was when they danced together.

  • @Peterpansmyman Haha it's all good. I was just kidding around. It is just a joke I came up with one day when it was on TV. I really like the movie. I apologize if it offended you in any way.

  • @raggledy No, I aplogise you caught my wrath of whats been building up from what true Disney haters have been saying >__<

  • @Peterpansmyman Stupid haters! I like Disney. My personal favorite is Aladdin.

  • @raggledy wtf is stockholm syndrome?

  • Comment removed

  • my computer stopped at 1:30 and it made me laugh :)

  • MAN, THE QUALITY SUCKS. IT'S A BAD SIGN WHEN THE QUALITY MAKES HAZEL EYES LOOK BROWN.

  • look so good! :D i luv this movie!

  • Do you remember wanting to run through the plains of Africa with Simba?

Swing through the jungle with Tarzan?

Go to the enchanted castle with Belle?

Ride a magic carpet with Aladdin?

    Save China with Mulan?

Ring the church bells with Quasimodo?

Go to the ball with Cinderella?

Turn into mer-people and go under the sea with Ariel?

If you want Disney to bring back movies like these, repost this note on other Disney movies so the Disney coporation might see it.

  • loved growing up in the 90s I remember my parents took me to disney land florida and I almost shat my pants when I saw the beauty and the beast show, I was so exited LOL

  • Please someone tell me, where I can find the original theatrical release of Beauty and the Beast, I only have the original on vhs but my vcr is broken from many years and I only have Diamond Edition that I hate, they change everything, including Belle's colour of the eyes!! So please help me in this matter!

  • @WAHCHINKSAPA07 Belle's eye color is hazel, it was never brown to begin with if that's what you're wondering. And the original theatrical release quality sucks, like the original quality of all the past Disney films. So unbright, so lacking color, blurry-looking, it's awful. I don't want to look at an animated movie where everything looks blurry and tinted brown.

  • @Serdikhan Belle has brown eyes, even Paige O'Hara (Belle) says that! But is not only that, pure and simple they had change entire scenes, like they did with the Lion King, you have the impression that you watch a remake of the movie that you had loved so much!

  • @WAHCHINKSAPA07 What evidence do you have that Paige O'Hara knew instead of just assumed what color Belle's eyes are. Clear quality of the first movie and both sequels(midquels) especially the second one, clearly shows that she has hazel eyes instead of brown. I even checked the original bad quality of the original film and I discovered that they're hazel there as well, but the brown tint and darkened and washed out colors kinda makes it hard to notice at first sight.

  • @Serdikhan Paige O'Hara (Belle), Robby Benson (Beast) Interview at "Beauty And The Beast" Premiere

  • @WAHCHINKSAPA07 That info is 20 years old, they're repeating what they said 20 years ago. Bet Paige never even payed attention to Belle's eyes. Paige O'Hara also said that the princesses before Belle has blue eyes, which would mean that Snow White and Aurora had blue eyes, which they don't, they have brown and violet eyes respectively. So much for taking O'Hara's words for granted. Some actors can be so unreliable.

  • @Serdikhan In my opinion the original versions of Beauty and the Beast, Lion King and Aladdin were perfect and I don't understand why you wanna change something already perfect!! It is like some mediocre painter would took a Michelangelo painting and he will paint few things there and there over Michelangelo's masterpiece, that would be a sacrilege! Beauty and the Beast is made in 1991 we are talking about a 20 years old movie, why they remade it, I mean is not silet movie made in 1915!

  • @WAHCHINKSAPA07 Perfect? The video quality was awful by today's standards. You don't see The Princess and the Frog with same quality. Which is why old Disney movies get digital restoration which makes the movie more bright and colorful and prettier to look at unlike the way they originally were. Old is for chumps. Look at this trailer. It really does show its age, doesn't it. That's not suppose to happen.

  • @Serdikhan You must be joking,I watched this trailer 100 times, I adore this trailer, I have the privilege to watch 1 minute and 59 seconds[less than that!] from the[original] movie of my soul! But I understand and I respect your opinion, you like better the platinum and diamond editions and I like the original, we don't have to fight about that! My question was that : Where I can find[on the dvd] the original version of Beauty and the Beast, because I couldn't find anywhere!

  • @WAHCHINKSAPA07 1:40 Look at that shot of Belle. Everything looks washed out and tinted brown, and look at the color of Belle's dress. It looks awful. The whole movie originally looked like this, as evidence by this video. And how does this fair up to today's standards of visuals? Not very good to say the least. When Disney re-releases movies, they actually improve their visual quality to the max. The original quality of old animated movies and cartoons is almost non-existant.

  • I miss the times of my childhood where all I did was watch Disney movies *sigh*

  • They don't make things like this anymore. This new generation of kids are far shallower than the last, having only Miley Cirus and iCarly to look up to. It's sad.

  • i think the 6 that disliked this video probably didn't have a good childhood!

  • I like Beauty and The beast's story de best :) tells little girls never to judge a book by its cover!

  • My favorite characters in this movie would be the Beast himself, Cogsworth, and Gaston's sidekick, LeFou!

  • I love this movie. But I hate how when they came out with all the DVD's they started having Disney stars REDO songs in the movies. Then they put them on the disk. :P gross! They ruined the songs.

  • LOVED this film so much when i was younger...im 23 now but i just want to watch it again!! :D

  • This disney narrator is the best. I grew up hearing his voice pretty much every day. XD

  • if there was a porn named for this movie it would be "Beauty and the Feast"

  • i honestly thought all the disney movies i watched were made around the same time.. the 1990's, only to find out today that cinderella, alice in wonderland and lady and the tramp were made in the 50's!!!

  • @DanielleMarieox hahahhahhahahahahhhahahaha

  • cool

  • I love how Disney show off on their trailers ;D

  • I don't know why, but I've always wished that 'Swan Lake' could be made into a disney movie. No Barbie.

  • my mum also loved this film too, but she also loved much (i guess) the Snow Whte and the seven Dwarfs too (witch it's also my favorite too).

i feel alittle angry that they don't show best films or shows in my Portuguese TV channels in theses days :(

  • See on freecartoons-us. I was talking on the phone, when cartoon started..I didn't believe it would be such a big deal.. But than I saw the first action scene, and I stayed my mouth opened..I left the conversation..at the moment..I enjoyed watching this..Surpringly not good, GREAT cartoon!!

  • This is the best trailer. The trailers used for releases of DVDs always has Be Our Guest as the most important song and while it's very fun, it doesn't capture the heart of the film.

  • I'm only 17 but disney is still in my heart <3

  • why does the beast always remind me on jack aubrey?

  • I'm doing an assignment on this movie so I think its pretty sweet actually it sucks that disney came and remade the movie BOOOOOOOOO!. but I think that the original is the best

  • I'm doing an assignment on this movie so I think its pretty sweet actually it sucks that disney came and remade the movie BOOOOOOOOO!.

  • Yo, Hannibal Lecter, I'm happy for you and "Silence of the Lambs" and Imma let you finish, but this should have won Best Picture at the Academy Awards in 1991. IT SHOULD HAVE.

I would have wanted a 2-D feature to be the first animated film to have won Best Picture (since 2D started animation, obviously), and since those are now scarce... there may never be a 2D film as wonderful as BatB ever again. I truly believe this was the best animated film of all time. OF ALL TIME, as Kanye would say.

  • Another film I love. I prefer The Little Mermaid (due to being a ginger & loving the ocean) and Cinderella (due to having a childhood eerily parallel to Cinderelly's) but Beauty & the Beast is lovely too. Lovely to see this trailer!

  • one of the most beautiful movies i've ever seen

  • I like "Beauty and the Beast" better than the "Little Mermaid." It's just my opinion but I don't like them both getting paired as the best Disney films. B&B is 1,000 times better than the LM.

  • Such an amazing movie!

I wish they included more of Gaston in this trailer though...

  • Oh my gosh, have they got to tell the whole story in the trailer?

Aside from that, I love this movie. :D

  • @CrystalJupiter I was thinking the same! Why dont you tell me he becomes human in the end too? I watched the trailer from little mermaid and they told everything too! And then she has legs, and has to kiss the prince... COME ON PEOPLE! xDD

  • @Galatheallllllll I also saw the Little Mermaid one.

And then contrast this to today's movie trailers, where hardly any information is given anymore.

  • Sacré bleu!

  • yo guys dont be so pity for todays children cause even lizzie mcgurie was something similiar like hannah montana and it was during years 1994 but at that time disney was at his prime 1!!!!!1

  • i Miss That Trailer Guys Voice ]:

  • I think it's a crime that children are being brought up on Hannah Montana today when we were spoilt with such well-made and beautiful movies. I pity the children of today!

  • I am the only one who really HATES how the narrator says: "He was a lonely beast, cursed by a mysterious spell!!! =DD" 0:26. he seems WAYYY too happy...

  • I whose 12 agree

  • The 90's is the best generation. I'm nearly 20 & I still love the classic Disney movies. I feel sorry for upcoming generations who are going to grow up with Miley Cyrus-type 'stars'.

  • :) Belle is one of my favorite princesses because she loves books, and I love books.

  • I think Beauty and the Beast gives a very inspirational lesson. It teaches you to look past the looks, and see the beauty inside. I'm a teenager too but I think that's a lesson that all teenagers, well everyone for that matter, needs to be taught. There's so much hate going on in the world and Hollywood is giving people this big idea that to be beautiful you have to be well, fake. There not giving people the RIGHT lesson which is that beauty is what's inside. I think this movie teaches us that.

  • Now Disney's defination of a 'Princess' is a shameless teen slut like Miley Cyrus who grinds her ass against some producer's groin for all to see & loads her 'music' videos with porno images.... the Disney channel shows nothing but trashy teen soap opera rubbish that has brainwashed little girls into thinking being a scummy 'celebrity' is the only thing in life worth aiming for! I'm glad I grew up in the last era of innocence this World will ever experience 'cause it's completely messed up now.

  • @robhere1982 Luckily, The Princess and the Frog was out to change all that. Hannah Montana also ended this year, so Disney is finally going back up the hill.

  • @robhere1982 Yes, back then little girls like me was always acting lady-like and gentle, now little girls are annoying me with their hysterical voices and sometimes they dress like neon -like pants and sings nonsense..

  • I just go the diamond edition of this :) my JAW DROPPED at the amazing quality now i get to watch one of my favorite disney movies in the best quality ever! :) WOW i sound like im advertising lol

  • this is the best movie I have seen in years, I've watched it twice already on cartoonsi.co.cc.this story has more depth and evokes more emotion than any other "children's" movie I've seen.

  • little mermaid....beauty and the beast....aladdin.....the lion king.....pocahantas.....the hunchback of notre dame....hurcules....mulan.....tarzan......and fantasia......god bless the 90'ss best childhood every <3

  • Aww this is such a nice movie....this will always be my childhood favourite!

  • This is such a beastly film! HAHA get it?

When me and my brother saw the advert for the 20th anniversary DVD he said "that's a beastly film" without even meaning for it to be a pun! HAHAHA It was f*cking funny!

  • Best Disney movie ever. Ever.

    No argument.

  • Such a great film!

I'm STILL not sick of this movie. The animation is beautiful, the music is fun, the characters are so easy to love, and well...

its one of my fave disney movies!

  • 20 movies later Disney has finally topped beauty and the beast with Tangled!

  • @blaase No. I'm sorry but...no.

  • @blaase

to each his own.....but as fun as tangled is it can't match the influence and feel of beauty, it cant match the lion king on any level except comedy, heck most of the films of the disney renaissance are better than tangled imo....but tangled is still good

  • @blaase No, even thats not as good as this.

  • Alan Menken is a freakin' genius!!!

  • I hate it when he says "Disney characters"! It just shows how corrupted Disney can be.

  • The gold dress in the ballroom scene is my favourite. When I was little all I wanted was a gold dress just like it, I also wanted the be Belle so bad because I had brown hair and eyes just like her. The beast is So.... cute.

  • @XxXKawaiiSocksXxX Belle's eyes are hazel, not brown.

  • 0:52 xD RAAAAAAAAAAAAH! IT HURTS!

  • want to know where they got the idea for this movie? Read Genesis 6 Daniel 2:43 of the Holy Bible and the Book of Enoch Chapter 7

  • Come on Kingdom Hearts 3

  • the 90's had the best disney movies from Littler mermaid in 1989 all the way to tarzan in 1998. I am so greatful to have had them in my childhood this was true disney and at its best

  • @coolturtle99 Tarzan was in 1999

  • @OurGangFan well then 1999

  • @coolturtle99 But Lilo and Stitch still had SOME of the magic then... Puff, gone. Now we have HSM and Hannah Montana. Shit.

  • @coolturtle99 That's because it was the Disney renaissance

  • @coolturtle99 ur wrong trazan was 1999 dumbnut

  • @ChinemayStarToBe well sorry 1 year off is not a big deal

  • This is playing on ABC family right now!

  • @popstar12002 IKR I'm watching it now. I forgot how cute it is.

  • who saw Marge Simpson at 1:11 ?

  • the year when i whas born ^ _^

  • twenty films and nineteen years later, Tangled. Progress!

  • Incredible moviethat i saw on freecartoon! The way it is put together is amazing and brings out nearly every emotion.

  • the beast disney film ever

  • chido

  • This was by far one of the best disney movies of all time

  • Was this the favourite for the oscars of 1992?

  • Absolutely a beautiful and enchanting movie. Though when you really think about it, you've never noticed how LOUD this movie is! Even the broadway musical is just as good.

  • i still have my VHS of this. Disney knew what they was doing back then. But once pixar came into the picture they changed themselves so they could beat them. But has we all know now they failed.

  • @applefanatic619 I have it on VHS too. My nana brought for me when I was really little. I'm 15 and still watch it ALL the time. It's a classic.

  • I probably still own the VHS to this, watched it many times when I was younger and I'm 22 now. Disney sure knew what they were doing back then, unlike now.

    Sweet nostalgia...

  • I just saw this on blue ray, and... everything is sharp and all but the colours are....a little of, i don't knmow how to put it, but this trailer and my old vhs feels more like a movie rather than the cartoony look of the blue ray.

    anyone else feel this?

  • i'm so showing this to my kids when i'm older. by that time it will be 40 years old, but you think i care?!

  • "dozen new disney characters"

..now they're classic characters that i grew up with, HOW WEIRD :)

and no wonder the music in this is amazing.. its the same composer of The Little Mermaid!

This will always be my favorite disney princess movie, along with The Little Mermaid <333333333

  • @bookworm7894 It is huh? I will re-watch my VHS tapes and it says "coming in 1994" XD

  • @EREX94 hahaha no i'm only 16 years old :) so when i have kids and they watch this that will be like 30-40 years after it was originally made and such!!! you can bet my kids will be watching this:)

  • angela lansbury (mrs potts) does mrs lovett in sweeney todd DD=

    TRAUMA!!!!!!!

  • i am starting a contest on youtube

whoever makes the best movie parody will win something of their choice send the video to me and i will watch it whoever has the best video will win

    starts october 21st 2010 to november 21st 2010

  • oh that opening shot... so beautiful , I love this movie so much... well.. who doesn't? eew. 3 people apparently need to be taken to that asylum!

  • I believe that this is my all time favorite Disney Classic [a term I use lightly because half the "classics" don't measure up to this :) ] Strangely, the only part that ever scared me in this movie was the light show during the transformation scene. Fight scenes, bah! A big angry beast, no problem. Gaston thinking, unnerving - but bearable. But all those finger flashlights! *shudder* (Not the rain or anything else mind you - only the spotlight beams)

  • beginning always creeps me out

  • I was never afraid of the beast... i had such a HUGE crush on him from the first time i saw it... He's stilll my favourite and i'm 20 :)

But i don't like his looks when he's human :b

  • @Hejdiii I totally agree I think he looks better as a beast! I think they tried to hard to make him beautiful as a man that they just made him look like a woman.

  • @Hejdiii perhaps your into bestiality

  • @5h2oom WHAT? No... I just see him for who he is and I've always had..!;)

  • @Hejdiii Lol beastiality.

  • @Hejdiii That's exactly how I feel about him!! I always had a crush on him :-)

  • @Hejdiii ah ha!!! i don't like the human. but the beast is cute:)

  • They need to bring the composer and lyricist of this and the Little Mermaid back.

  • I loved this moviee ..best childhood movie i hav eva watched....i never was scared of the beast

  • I watched this so many times when I was a kid. Mostly because I liked the fact that Belle wasn't actually a "princess" waiting for her prince charming who would sweep her off her feet. She was a normal girl who had to fight to get her prince charming. In other words "tame the beast". Yes, Belle rules all of the Disney princess's. And Tiana comes second cause she's kind of like Belle :)

  • 0:41 always cracks me up. "But she's being so *growls* difficult!"

  • WHO'S READY FOR RE-RELEASE????? I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!! :D I feel like I'm 5 again XD

  • @xoxoMEEPoxox me too! this is my all-time favourite Disney movie and it totally takes me back to my childhood :)

  • @chefkatie87 My all-time fave movie everrrr. Belle was like my role model as a kid...and kinda still is =p

  • Beast reminds me of Worf from Star Trek.

  • I miss Disney coming out with good Movies like this one! I am not to excited about Tangled! When are they making another good Movie like this................ I wonder will it come out in Blue-Ray

  • i remember this :)

  • The Black Cauldron and The Great Mouse Detective did okay in the box office in the late 80s, but the Disney Renissance was when Disney got back on the right track. The greatest film of the Renissance was Beauty and the Beast!!!!

  • Hands down best Disney movie of all time!

  • Saw this when I was 5 and first movie I remember seeing in theaters. Fell in love instantly!! So glad to be a child of the Disney Renissance era.
