God i always get shot to shit in this game, even with a shwack of shield n ecm, any tips ?

@PICLex Dodge. 2 things. First as soon as the atack alarm goes off hit ESC ( Pause time ). Find your enemy and target them.

If they already are targeting you with a lazer send a missle out. They will automatically stop firing.

And the second learn to dodge. I used to play with a 5MW pulse against 20MW beams no shield. and win most of the time.

Bonus tip. Save often. :-D

The Eagle MK3 was designed by the Imperials after the failed MK2 wasnt it, or am I thinking about the Cobra...

I dunno but I still play FFE with original graphics, which are a little better in full screen mode. GL mod is cool bit it has lots of graphical glitches. And FFE3D wont work properly with my card.

anybody know page where are remodelled all star ships ? I have 1.12b but not all spacecrafts are remodeled and game sometimes crash :(

Search for FFED3D and models and you'll find some (the replacement tube station looks great). The Eagle is there, but as I understand it the game patches the three Eagles together from the same model, so currently it only replaces one and makes a mess of the other two.

That looks great - where did you get it from? The download I've got of FFED3D doesn't have a re-done Eagle Mk III.

I think that will be in the next version, along with a whole lot of new ships, stations and surface base graphics.

I've since found various updated ships on the FFED3D site (despite the only word of Russian I know being "vodka"). Someone's been putting a lot of work in to these.
