interesting video. there is an Arrogance to think that we understand what is going on with the weather when we do not have the data. i always found it interesting that the temp data for AL's movie, only talked about the ice ages, and didn't go back to jurasic and beyond tempretures. the planet went through a cycle of cold phases, now it has started to heat up, out of the ice ages. do we affect it? mabye. but if we are, we would need to kill ourselves to stop our affects on the planet.

Great video. I'd like to see a graph of Y2K, global warming and other mass-panic phenomenons. That pattern probably follows a more steady trend than global warming evidence.

Perhaps the best thing we can do to try to stop GW is to stop cutting down trees (Amazon Basin especially) and plant more trees.

Trees (and all plants but especially trees) gobble up CO2, turn it into wood and give off oxygen.

And reduce car emissions of course.

Does anyone remember the hysteria of the Y2K bug , many people made millions out of that scare campaign. I feel global warming is this decades scare campaign for renewable energy businessman, and scientists wanting more grants.

There where few with doomsday predictions about y2k. However the media industry relies on people eccentrics to get our attention.

Only trouble is there has been concern about this for more than fifty years now.

The debate isn't over about what is going to happen but what is clear, is we and every other higher organism, are more vulnerable to any change now, than ever before.

I didn't make even one million out of Y2K, though I did work late into the evening for many nights correcting the date-handling code in power-station control systems, SCADA components, motor controllers, etc.

So despite the hype, the reason the lights didn't go out, the phones didn't stop working and medical equipment didn't go haywire is that a lot of people worked very hard for nothing more than their usual salary to fix the problems.

I appreciate that there was little bit of truth behind the Y2K bug, just like climate change, but it's the scaremongering that people use to push their points and profits that annoy me. You say you didn't make millions out of the y2k, obviously you didn't own the company. Al Gore workers don't make millions either out of his climate change business, but big Al does. Media rely on fear as it sells, and the masses buy it.100 years from now they'll be saying alternate opinions will end the world.

We DID the empirical inquiry, gathering irrefutable evidence and they say, "Where's the consensus?" So we get consensus and they say, "Having scientific consensus is bad for real science." I really wish these industry-paid denial-mongers would stop babbling like the cretins that they are.

What the f### are you talking about? No one said anything about the holocaust. Remember that whole deal where Exxon was caught offering scientists $10,000 a piece to write papers disputing global warming? (Climate scientists would never have enough money to make the same offer.) I suspect all this BS on YouTube of late is part of the same disinformation campaign, that's all. These guys have tens of billions of dollars to spend manipulating the ignorant. What they don't have is any real science.

You ever thought that Big Oil is behind the Green movement too? Notice how before communism collapse in the 90s Greenpeace and other such organisations were concerned with real issues. Now it's taken on socialist agendas. An ETS is just a wealth distribution program.

Yeah, I never really cared about Greenpeace. I have no idea what their agenda is, but there is legitimate science behind AGW, and a very strong consensus to it, too. To be honest, I doubt anyone CAN be converted, but I don't want some borderline person falling for all this "everything's fine, go buy some gasoline" crap. The science is crystal clear, and it exists with or without greenists. Climate scientists don't work for Greenpeace, and they agree with each other that we need to make changes.

Don't swallow this stuff, these guy make my skin crawl. Read the available literature and 'SCIENCE' learn that the earths climate has changed many times over the millenia.
