humm we only got pillerbox and hot hot pink in regualr at my store that are acctualy vegan hair dye. The other ones containe beeswax witch some vegans consider an animal bi product.

@gothvamp133 have you tried it? I also have dark brown hair but i also have a bunch of blonde highlights, I'm not too sure how its going to turn out but i'm hopefully going to get some highlights this color sometime this summer.

Being a vegan in Uruguay is so hard!

You can´t find hair products that haven't been tested on animals, not even a wide variety of vegan food as you can find in other countries. It sucks big time! :S

I think it depends country to country, area to area, Porolita22 is in Guatemala and she doesn't find it too hard, and it is probably easier for me to be vegan in Australia then in the Southern States of the US. Although other parts of the US, like Portland, are apparently a vegan paradise and would beat where I live hands down.

The fact that you are vegan with all that difficulty is a testament to your awesomeness :-)

I never liked manic panic, from my experience the color didn't stay in long. It would even rub off on my pillow when I slept.

I have to jump on the bandwagon here though because the red really does look nice on you.

Oh and don't worry, its not permanent, it washes out gradually over the period of a month or two.

Oh that sounds cool then. You could try green even. ;) But I think the red was a good choice, however I still prefer your natural color. The red dye may make you look even paler, actually.

Now, when I was a teenager, Manic Panic was only available at, like, novelty shops, and it was extremely temporary. Is what you used temporary? (LOL I ask that like I'm some old woman! "In MY day...")

It is semi permanent. But it doesn't just wash out after 3 washes or something, it takes much longer to get your hair 'virgin' again.

I did a websearch with the words 'vegan' and 'hair dye', which led me to a forum post confirming they were cruelty free. I then went to the website and found an article on there that stated that they were :-)

I've tried henna but it is permanent, and I wanted a semipermanent.

Manic Panic is also all natural ingredients, its safe to leave on your head overnight even.

Yeah, if I can remember correctly I found out years ago that special effects colors were more vibrant and penetrating- and didn't come off onto the pillowcase as much as the Manic Panik. But I didn't bleach my hair out beforehand...
