  • This song is in Zulu and it means Rule this Land with Peace, Rule with Love, Rule Simba Rule Simba yooooo. Im South African but my native language is Xhosa, and Zulu is very similar to Xhosa...we got 11 official languages in our country. PROUDLY SOUTH AFRICAN BABY!!!

  • 0:16 Starts waves of chills

  • @XDFACE101 I have chills all over the song!

  • Just to help every one out, in this transliteration of the African language of Zulu, the letter "X" is pronounced as a CLICK OF THE TOUNGE!!

  • @desidol22 Yeah its in xhosa and zulu. So is Q and C like :

eqah eqah lasiqika qika eqao keni la qaoka e qoqoqo - the skunk was jumping up and down before it broke its back bone.

  • no one can sing as emotional and powerful as african people! (and im white:)

  • someone please post this with the word in african so I can sing it correctly! Too beautiful to sing wrong!

  • @panama432002

  • Wonderful song.

  • Everytime my pet rat hears this he gets terrified... I still wonder why...

  • The Lion King is my favorite movie of all time and I always wanted a full version of the song at the end of the movie... I didn't find out about this album until today and I'm extremely happy I did and I wish I knew about this sooner!!

  • dude this song is so triumphant. Makes me feel victorious. That's why the played it at the end of this movie.

  • I LOVE THIS, MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!

  • is this the song that was playing while simba was running across the desert...?

  • @rushisabelle

    Indeed it is!

  • @rushisabelle yes :D

  • This is one of the best things I've ever heard.

  • I just picture Africa's animals (and some with their young) just running with freedom across the savannah

  • I used to have Rhythm of the Pridelands on a cassette tape. I listened to this ALL THE TIME. These songs were all great.

  • In the past 24 hours, I think i have listened to this song 20 times...

  • This is like freedom running song haha

  • yeaaaaah !!!!!!!=DDD

  • When you listen to this, you can't help but picture a hyena or lion running across a svannah that ablaze with the sun's light.

  • @bunterify i dont think anybody pictures a hyena

  • @JBtheProducer uh... yea...sure lets say nobody. heh heh heh heh

  • Wow... Now I really wish I didn't crack my bones when I was a kid it's hard enough to jog without feeling pain.

  • this makes me wana play Dead Island XD

  • so no one knows what emna iyo means?

Nantsingonyama dont know either and he/she made some great translations of the Zulu and Swahili represented in the lion king :D

I found out that Simba means lion in Swahili^^

  • everytime i play this my cat runs across the garden in slow motion

  • @sebzero2 He is returning to face his destiny. Be proud of him. :)

  • Wanyama na binadamu wa Afrika inaweza kuishi kwa amani, kama amini tu. Siku moja, amani atatawala milele.

English: The animals and humans of Africa can live in harmony, if they only believe. One day, peace will rule forever.

  • @bunterify African's use to be in complete harmony with lions and other wild animals, then something happen.

  • It is like this song is the embodiment of the spirit of the African savannah, and the singers are it's inhabitants, asking a ruler to rule over the savannah with peace and love.

  • anybodyy kno wat busa translates 2?

  • @whrobins431 Rule. They are saying Rule simba rule......... as in rule over the pride lands

  • @whrobins431 it means rule.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG. My number one favorite African song of all time. Are there any other african songs similar to this? PLEASE LET THERE BE

  • >w< That's cute! Thanx for translating it <3

  • RUN FOREST, RUN!

  • I can't stop listening to this!!! It's too awesome!

  • This is one of my faves from TLK.

  • HEY! I know this song! Well the chorus anyway...what scene was this in Lion King? Can't remember....

  • @Mutedwordz When Simba gets some sense "knocked" into him, he runs acrross a desert to go back to Pride Rock.

  • @Mutedwordz A couple scenes. After Rafiki convinces Simba to return, Simba running through the desert, and then at the end with the Circle of Life reprise. It's heard in a flute solo a few times earlier in the movie though.

  • I remember watching "The Lion King" for the first time and I just said, "wow". I've seen many movies, but none of them have left me as speechless as this one. TLK forever...

  • It's awesome how you don't know what they're saying but it sounds beautiful, and when you learn what they're saying it is even more beautiful (:

  • It's very rare that I love and enjoy every song in an album. But I actually love every song in this album :D

  • Busa Simba, Busa Simba-^

  • Simba rules.

  • I remember seeing this in Walmart some time back. At the time I thought it was just a mixture of Lion King and Lion King 2 songs. Wish I had known better now.

  • I can't believe in the world cup they don't use this kind of music, instead they use shakira's song.

  • @picarozita It is because lion king plays in Kenya and the language is swaheli I was also pretty sad that my country wasnt playing there so of course they didnt played such music from kenya but I must also admit it is africa most african music sounds alike I guess they just wanted to make it fits for the other countries ears like a little mix from african and pop what actually faild in my ears but well it is how it is over and we still can enjoy it here :)

  • @daizua123 i remember hearing that song in the musical on broadway! it had such a happy feeling to it.

  • @ThePsycoticboxman Yeah. Made me see how upset Simba was.

  • @daizua123 You are aware that Lala is written to mourn his brother and his best friend, who died within a week of each other.

  • @Stahi Yes, I know. It's mentions his brother and friend in the song (when you translate the song into English.) I looked at the English lyrics.

  • Epic!

  • got to love busa i still remember simba running across the desert to this song it kicked ass.

  • it wasnt this version he was running too, it was another. The lion king(busa simba) is the vid the versions on!

    They both are sooo cool!!!

  • great music- very relaxing to revise to :)

  • I dont see what all the fuss is about- maybe its because I'm English and we don't get so "hett up" about presidents/ prime ministers. why don't we just let him get on with his job and THEN judge him in a few years when we can really see how well he can rule your country and what differences he has made in the world! He seems a genuinely good guy- so should it really matter what race he is or where he comes fom?

  • i am a big LION KING fan. saw the play when it came to Hawaii in November 2007. thanks for uploading this!

  • This is a very beutiful song! And I agree with exxodus29; this is very fitting for Barack Obama in his inauguration. "Ubuse ngo thando.

    Ubuse ngo xolo.

    Ubuse ngo thando

    Busa Obama, busa Obama!"

    5/5 stars!

  • Shut up, jaguar4u2! Intelogo36 made a a good point of what he said. Obama isn't a saudi arabian, he's an american who has roots from Kenya, as exxodus29 said. Are you ignorant or what!? You're the one who's ruin the song by puting prejudistic words! By the way; he is not a pagan or a muslim, or a pig for that mather! He is a protestant. And he is the right man as president of USA!

  • He, he... you mr jaguar4u2 are truly an "IGNORANT". What's the mather with you, anyway!? Barack Obama's father was a "luo" (an ethnic group in Kenya) from the Nyang'oma Kogelo in the Nyanza Province of Kenya. Where did you get those stupid facts that says that he is tanned!? You can't possibly compare him to Hitler! What are you; 8, 9 or 10 years old?

To rightroad9: Don't waste time answering against ignorants.

For the both of you: Listen instead to the beautiful music.

  • Honestly, Obama has nothing to do with the Lion King, much less with this song. :[

  • Haha, I read the comments after I posted that. Sorry! D:

    Either way, beautiful song.

  • hehe, that's just what I was thinking in my head xD

  • Busa Simba

  • I can't stop listening to this song=)

  • this version sounds diffrent to the one over the credits of the movie am i imagining it or can someone explain

  • It does sound a little different. That's because it wasn't actually an official song until after The Lion King was released.Lebo m and his choir just did the chorus to kind of mix in with Hans Zimmer's score and then made into a proper song inspired by it on their album Rhythm of the Pride Lands. They did it with quite a few songs featured in the film.Just type in Lebo m Lala or Lea Halalela and check it out for yourself.Hope that helps (: x

  • k thx

  • Rule this land,rule this land,rule this land of ours,rule with peace...luv iiittt!!!!! x x x

  • I love this song. They should have peformed this song at President Obama's inauguration. When ever I listen to the lyrics and read their translation, I think this would have been the perfect song for the occasion considering President Obama has roots in Kenya. The first line of the song which is "Busa le lizwe" which means rule this land. How fitting is that for Obama.

  • So true. It might have been too "cultured" for America though...

  • You're right! But I still think it would have been cool. It's just that minorities have waited for that day to come for so long and to have it arrive was something to celebrate indeed. Just think how cool it would have been to have this song played right after Obama was sworn in!

  • It would have indeed been epic.

  • I remember when I listened it when I was child....:) happy memories!!!:):)

  • haha favourited =D now i -probably- can understand ya zulu =)

  • Busa Simba, busa Simba.

    Great song!

  • I've been searching for this song since the movie was released..

I've posted a search query in every movie data base, but the results differ every time..

at last i found it.. :') man today's my lucky day

  • I remember listening to this music when I was 5. I love it!

  • i get da chills everytime i hear this song...

  • I feel the exact same way. Every song from the Lion King makes me feel good. Disney is going to have to work pretty hard to top the Lion King as far as I'm concerned. The animation, the story, and the music was just perfect. All the crap Disney is doing now can't even come close to competing with the Lion King. They knocked the ball out of the park with this one. I don't think they will come close to doing something this magnificent again. The Lion King rules!!!

  • I took the words RIGHT out of my mouth.

  • Amazing... very simple lyrics... still very powerful song.

If you can play this song at full blast and not feel anything... then you should stick to Barny songs.

  • Brilliant song, brilliant singer, and I love the clicks! Wish I could do them

  • i love this song so much when i went to south africa to visit my family they brought me to the broadway shoe i was in love with lion king ever since

  • best song from this movie

  • If you listen to this ending its the same ending as the lion king the ending of that movie

  • my song no touchy mine i tell u mine

  • Alright bud, we get it. LOL

But we all still get to love it.

  • Lol it's been my Burmese Python's song for ages as this song was playing when she hatched.

  • Amazing! One of the best song of this Era

  • Thanksss a lot , I was waiting to see BUSA on youtube years ago.....that's magical....my favorite song for sure, I also lov the movie! ;)
