It does sound a little different.That's because it wasn't actually an official song until after The Lion King was released.Lebo m and his choir just did the chorus to kind of mix in with Hans Zimmer's score and then made into a proper song inspired by it on their album Rhythm of the Pride Lands.They did it with quite a few songs featured in the film.Just type in Lebo m Lala or Lea Halalela and check it out for yourself.Hope that helps (: x

I love this song. They should have peformed this song at President Obama's inauguration. When ever I listen to the lyrics and read their translation, I think this would have been the perfect song for the occasion considering President Obama has roots in Kenya. The first line of the song which is "Busa le lizwe" which means rule this land. How fitting is that for Obama.
