well you can give a day of service now. Why wait for obama to tell you to. A forced day for people to have to work is not going to fly. By law, the government cant force anyone to do anything they dont want to. That pesky Constitution will get in the way of it.

How to focus people's attention and participation? ChangeDotGov is good. But I think an update of FDR's Fireside broadcasts may be better. A weekly, perhaps monthly (to avoid overexposure), broadcast by the president. Each broadcast would be part "State Of The Union", and part "What Is The Goal?". And, I think the "What Is The Goal?" segment is where Barack Obama would excel, and therin would lie the focus of the nation. But, it should not be a pep-rally; it should be substantive.

Obama is just using the internet which more and more people have access to, to get a more broad range of people listening, so that they all know what he wishes us to do.

Why we bothered fighting Communism is beyond my comprehension, when we now effectively have a Ministry of Propaganda in session. As per the founding principles of the Republic: When one fights for one's country, one is not fighting for a country as an end in itself, but one is fighting to have a country in which one, as an individual in consort with other like-minded individuals, can act in their self-interest. America must not be about crude nationalism, but should be about individualism.

After all we have waited a long, long time for Government to get it done.
