The reason he pushed Sam off of him is because he just got shot in the arm. He was holding his shoulder when he set her down. You also have to remember that Jason is very single minded. He is totally focused on saving Spinelli so there is not romance in his mind right now. I don't know what the future holds for those two but at the very least they will be friends.
