Set Up Evolution E-mail in Ubuntu 9.10

juat make a aol account and use it on there, its the easiest one to use on Ubuntu and u can send and receive emails yahoo hotmail and an other one wont let u send emails.

The name is misleading. It's not manually adding an account. Manually adding an accoutn would mean editing a config file and adding the text lines manually. You are doing now the only procedure to set up a Evluation email account.

One question is it secure? I know using ubuntu is secure but hotmail I'm not sure of? I'd like to access my email in ubuntu but I want it to be secure.

I had to use tls as sending encryption to make that part work.

I use ssl for receiving.

you may need to set the encryption to ssl for both accounts as well.
