You know, I envy all of you people who were born in the late 80's or early 90's, because you got to experience the whole decade of the 90's.. I was born in 1995, and every day I'd watch my older brother play this game. I seriously miss those days - and Zelda will forever be engraved in my memories, even if the 90's aren't..

Actually, I am going to support The Legend of Zelda in the whole argument about why it's better than most other video game series because I believe that more heart (no pun intended) is put into The Legend of Zelda. I feel like each game is so different from the others that they could each stand on their own, like an entirely different game. Yet, they each remind us we are still playing The Legend of Zelda, just as this song does at 1:28. That's my honest opinion. That may not be true for all.
Zelda series FTW!! Good music, great gameplay, great story-lines. The kids today don't know anything about video games if all they play are FPS games. Oh and to the people who disliked this, they are just jealous at the fact that LoZ is one of the best series out there and will beat down any FPS game series.
I just beaten this game last night and I have to say, compared between this and the 64 version, I like this overall. However, there's some parts here and there that I like in the 64 one, but other than that, this game is awesome, and I highly recommend this game to any hardcore Zelda fan, new or old.
Honestly I blame online gaming, back when games like this where new there was no "good" MMO games out there. Shooters back then where nothing worth talking bout, however now that you can play against other people around the world, their popularity is much higher. Even though the stories of shooter games usually suck, and the music tends to be generic and boring.
As you can tell I'm not a fan of FPS games, although I do like the Resistance series a bit.
To all the hipsters that insist that games like CoD, Halo, Skyrim, etc aren't real games and that Zelda and Mario and old games were, you're honestly simply pissing off the world. Get over your nostalgia...if games like these were truly better they would be played more. They wouldn't be called the best by nostalgia fags everywhere. When the overworld theme from the original finally played, it was a really emotional feeling for me. I was waiting for the theme to make a return somewhere, anywhere in the game, since I loved it that much. When I finally got to hear it in the end credits, it was totally worth it, and I now crown Ocarina of Time 3D as the best game I ever played, right up there with final fantasy 6. Truly a masterpiece.
People think that Skyrim (which i wouldnt mind playing) and COD are like the best games known to man since they are best selling right now. but are they that good? (just saying. Im not a big COD fan, but I wouldnt mind playing Skyrim). Zelda will be the best game known to man. Not cuz it's from Nintendo, or not how much it sells, it will be the best from the years how much it has grown and how it captures people attention in the stories.

Interesting to see the lashings you have received for this comment. However, what I think many people are trying to say, is that many games from back then focused on the atmosphere and story.
CoD and Halo and the likes mainly focus on a multiplayer experience. While yes, they have a story, it's not the focus of the game, nor is it what they are known for, but merely the multiplayer. Naturally, though, there may be many exceptions out there.

I never played the original, so it was very good for me to get a 3ds remake. It was a very good game and the first zelda game Ive actually got around to finish, believe it or not.
beat the game just now and simply had to look for this track right after. there are really great games out there as of now, most of them not even from nintendo but the n64 era games are always going to be the most memorable for me especially OoT. hopefully majoras mask 3D is coming up next :D

Ohh and one more thing I barely use the glowing gossip stone because I already beat the gamecube version of Ocarina of Time twice alreday so I basically memorized every place in the game and how to beat all the levels. I recently got an xbox, played all the "major" games like CoD, Bioshock, Fable 2, etc., and still never felt the magic that Nintendo gives you. I never felt the goosebumps when you play something truly emotional on the games. Bioshock was fun, the music was beauitiful, but seriously, it's overrated. They say it's great, but a true title like LoZ will make them go "HOYL DIZ IS A BETTERER THAN ALL OUR GAMES!". Truly, one of the best games to exist is LoZ.
This is amazing. It somes up the adventure, danger, beauty, insanity, and majesty of the green-clad hero's adventures in 2 glorious minutes and 36 beloved seconds. Mahito Yokota, I salute you.

@thedragoonknight I dunno about you, but in terms of fun and quality, 90s games were a lot better than today's games.
I feel really bad for kids these days. They'll never understand the magic of these games.
FPS's have no magic, no charm, they're not timeless. (Well, maybe Halo 1, but that's it)

Interesting to see the lashings you have received for this comment. However, what I think many people are trying to say, is that many games from back then focused on the atmosphere and story.
CoD and Halo and the likes mainly focus on a multiplayer experience. While yes, they have a story, it's not the focus of the game, nor is it what they are known for, but merely the multiplayer. Naturally, though, there may be many exceptions out there.

@chefman470 Some people still game like this up to now much less 90's. Gaming for me isn't a hobby. It's a place for me to escape in my imagination, away from all the troubles of the freaking planet. Nintendo still captures me by doing this almost every single time. A lot of games like CoD are great but they cause even more stress rather than relieve it. No matter how much I bash nintendo, I don't give a flying FK to whoever disagrees when I say: If they leave gaming would be dead!

I like COD and Halo but Never and I say Never will anything will come close to the genius that is Nintendo. beat the game just now and simply had to look for this track right after. there are really great games out there as of now, most of them not even from nintendo but the n64 era games are always going to be the most memorable for me especially OoT. hopefully majoras mask 3D is coming up next :D

I apologize if I said I hate God of War the only reason why I said that was for two reasons. 1 You said you thumbs me down I retaliated I know that's childish but I do that anyway. 2 My younger cousin dissed Wind Waker and the whole Zelda series in particular and my uncle called Link gay and God of War was very gory when I watched my cousin play it. Well I watched Inuyasha as a kid anyways I wouldn't like it if someone diised my favorite game

Ohh and one more thing I barely use the glowing gossip stone because I already beat the gamecube version of Ocarina of Time twice alreday so I basically memorized every place in the game and how to beat all the levels. My friend has the original N64 version of Ocarina of Time and he beat it four times I think Check out my channel if you have time

I recently got an xbox, played all the "major" games like CoD, Bioshock, Fable 2, etc., and still never felt the magic that Nintendo gives you. I never felt the goosebumps when you play something truly emotional on the games. Bioshock was fun, the music was beauitiful, but seriously, it's overrated. They say it's great, but a true title like LoZ will make them go "HOYL DIZ IS A BETTERER THAN ALL OUR GAMES!". Truly, one of the best games to exist is LoZ.
