  • I've had a plane that did exactly the same.. not pulling up in the first meters solved it.. apparently it became very unstable when there wasn't enough airspeed..

  • The tail, elevator, and rudders are supposed to keep it going straight, my theory cause im not too sure is becuase it creates drag to the back its like pulling on a piece of string. Lets say the plane is the string and if you pull on it its jsut going to flop around, but lets say its attached to like the wall or osmething then the string would be straight. The tail keeps the rear end up and stablized so it doesnt jsut rotate on its center of gravity. lol the string is probably not the best rep.

  • lol it doesnt have a tail! try prototyping your design next time so its not just a waste of money and time.

  • This was the prototype and I only wasted $1 worth of foam... I did get to fly with a slightly larger "vertical stabilizer" but it was twitchy. No biggie experimenting in where the fun is, for me at least.

  • I think he knows what he is doing and that one was just experiment....what can´t ou understand on this.....?

  • Need to either turn it into a flying wing or add a tail.

    Your using elevonsright?

  • if you dont have a vertical stabilizer you need to have something else, either gyros on all axis and have flaps on each wing with one going up and one going down, this is what tail less planes use, do not give up, it just needs more development, have you made a test chuck glider? you should if you are testing out a new type of vehicle you have no experience with where the CofG should be etc

  • I did a chuck glider and it worked well the problem was pitch stability with power on. I made a few laps around the park but I forgot to hit the red button on my hat cam. The vert stab is there and no yaw problems. It would front flip if you had to much power on. I have dropped this project and moved on. My next project is an EDF X-31.

  • what i wouold have said would be launch it via a bungee, so it has enough speed, it may just be your not getting it up to speed.

  • If it would be really powerful bungee, you could achieve a pretty long flight even with inherently unstable airplane.

  • good try. next

  • It has one check out the thread at RcGroups, it is toast now on to something new

  • well you should lengethen the tail then, because its not stable enough

  • I have to agree I don't see ant vertical stabilizer on that plane, if it is there, it's too small!

  • dude you need a tail or at least a vertical fin
