  • the ending was weird. Why let go your prisoners? for a general who speaks lots of languages, he is very stupid.

  • Inglourious Basterds is my personal favourite QT film!

  • What a shameful piece of hollywood propaganda bullshit. Most people have no idea that 60,000,000 people died as a result of WW2. It wasnt a war fought to "exterminate jews" Jews simply caused that war just as they did WW1 and now WW3. In typical evil jew fashion, they now absurdly re-create themselves as heroic. lol. They are great masters of fiction. Do your homework America. For starters, study and learn about how not one person EVER was put into a "gas chamber". There was no such thing.

  • LOL IF THIS HAD YOU SPOOKED YOUR A PUSSY DUDE NO OFFENCE HAHAHAH

buuuulll shit this had you at the edge of your seat go watch aftermath and the human centiped, i guess those would have you flying off your seat

  • I stopped watching this video after you said SEVERAL times that you are a director. Right in the first few seconds of this video.

    That was pretty annoying.

  • i was more interested in the jewish girls story rather than the inglourious basterds

only because there was allways the risk of her being discovered as the jew

whereas the basterds were just funny but i didnt care as much about what they were doing when they were ofscreen

  • I stopped after you said it had you at the edge of your seat. ARE YOU SERIOUS MAN!!! I was trying NOT to fall asleep during this movie!!!

  • You're a stuck up asshole.

  • Great review. best movie of the year in my opinion much better than avatar thats for sure

  • when i first saw this movie i just wanted to stop watching it the first hour, but i waited and then i really enjoyed it.

  • it it was not won, i hope a panda falls on -shakes head- she ussualy falls lol nice vid. nice! MOVIEPRINCESS [ . ] COM

  • The film was too long, parts of Tarintino shined through which made it nice but the film overall was worse than Kill Bill imo. I just couldn't get into this film, I'll probably never watch this a second time. I'm glad I didn't pay to watch this in the cinema.

  • dude Avatar sucked cock and it felt like 2hourse and 10 mins to me it went by so fast see the reason y it takes soo long is because u ppl r worried about the time you may say "No I wasn't" well ppl dont notice they r

  • Watch Movies like Inglourious Basterds Review at W W W . TV-Video . us

  • christoph waltz should win the oscar!!!

he acts so great in this movie!

  • i think he did

  • This movie doesn't deserve two thumbs up. Great dialogue, cinematography, and a lot of potential. But the stories were just too outrageous. It was too over the top and the ending was anti-climatic . It didn't make sense. But if that doesn't matter to you and you just want to see fire and guns and Hitler having his brains blown out then I'd watch it.

  • O-o do you really think that 90% of the world r hardcore movie ppl O-o

  • The reviewer needs to take his head out of his ass. And he calls himself a "director"- what a fucking poser.

  • Sherwood95 you can kiss my ass you fucking beaner, Go back to Mexico bitch.

  • Gringos are so retard...

  • I'm canadian you fucking hitler loving douche bag.

  • And lastly

This movie is not for all you die hard and mission impossible fan boys

This movie is supposed to be more dialogue than action although it does have much more action than most tarantino films with the exception of Kill Bill

This movie is supposed to get you to think

It tries to describe every detail and goes to great lengths doing so

Not like your explosion filled no intellect solid action movies.

  • exactly, everybody i know who seen this movie said it was all talking and no action but every conversation had me glued to the screen and i think it was his master piece and when the action comes its spectacular

  • Thank you

  • Thank you

  • it sucked ass

  • Fuck you

  • Good review

  • this movie is deff not for the ones who are simple minded and just want action because you actually have to read instead of watching mindless action the whole time lol

  • Thank you

  • Also, keep in mind that a movie is supposed to take text that is on paper, and then convert it into a visual/auditory experience. With that said, call this a visual book, not a movie.

3 reasons why this book is not worth seeing again. 1: Flat out too much reading. 2: The film was too predictable. 3: The ultimate cliche in a film where the bad guy gets shot in the back only to turn around for a last strike.

GREAT REVIEW!!!! Love KillBill1...I hate KillBill2 because it ruined vol1.

  • Brilliant movie. Really really liked it.

  • Thank you

  • Fuck this movie and fuck Jews.

  • Fuck you

  • inglorious bastards SUCKED!!!! Just cuz its against nazi's doesn't mean its a good movie....

  • Fuck you

  • A master of dialogue. Good God man, where the hell are you seeing? Honestly? In addition the writing is piss poor and seemed as though they were written by a 12 year old. Couple that with sadistic violence and you have...a steaming pile of shit.

  • fuck this boring ass movie. literally all talking. you could fit all the action scenes in a youtube clip under 10 mins.

  • It's not the movie's fault for not dumbing itself down. Not all movies are required to be retard-strength action movies you know.

  • @AdvertiseFor, WHY does action matter so much to you people? It's the scenes that DIDN'T have action that were the funniest. Like the scene where he was talking italian with Southern accent. That was classic.

  • Actually, last night I went and tallied up all of the action scenes, and it comes in at under 7 minutes. The movie is 2 and a half hours long and the "Basterds" only get 37 minutes of screen time. The rest of the film is devoted to the pointless Shosanna plot.

  • that movie was kick ass good reveiw

  • Agreed, I went with3 of my mates because one REALLY wanted to go and see this, I hated it.....lol

  • Agreed.

  • Bullshit. This movie had you on the edge of your seat more than ANY other Tarantino movie? Really? I hope you haven't seen Pulp Ficition b/c the apartment scene, the OD scene, the ending scene and many other scenes are INFINITELY more suspenseful than most of this movie. Of course you have seen Pulp Fiction, so shame on you.

  • This was a great review, you should do another man, I agree more should've been cut out, and more time was needed for the basterds.

But this movie proves to me that Tarantino is the new modern master of suspense.

  • 3:46 = WIN!

  • worst intro ever - "I'm a director..." Does the quote "he who calls himself a khan is not a khan" ring any bells? I couldn't even watch the review after that... sorry I'm having a bad day.

  • Yeah, there were scenes were I literally had to look away because the violence were just too intense for me.

  • random buttsecks ftw

  • so your a director ehy?, then what have you made?

  • great review by a shitty director LOL

  • they don't really cross over because this is not a hyperlink film - it's a spaghetti western mostly on a war world 2 setting. i didn't find the movie violent either - i mean seriously, compare it to the Kill Bill series or even Death Proof - it has violent images, no doubt about it, but not as violent as I would've expected from Tarantino. overall, it was a nice detailed first review though, cheers

  • You've got to be fucking kidding me! Requiem for a dream was seriously BY FAR the worst, most frustrating, boring, anoying movie i've EVER seen in my ENTIRE life i felt like going EMO after watching it!

  • oh come on...YOU can´t be serious. Requiem for a dream is one of the best movies EVER made. the cinematography, the acting, THE SOUNDTRACK...pure art. and such an intense built up. why frustrating? why anoying? WHY EMO?

  • Not even close lol, it was good but not that good. The acting is dominated by Ellen Burnstyn, Leto and Connelly are decent and do I really need to say anything about Marlon Wayans? The soundtrack was beaten to death after a quarter of the movie, and the directing was unbelievably pretentious (i.e. *CRUNCH* woah, food's gone, how neat and creative!) The movie was powerful due to images which is much easier than having powerful tension between characters an dialogue.

  • Even if you think think Requiem for a Dream was fantastic I can respect that even though I didn't think it was as good as people say, but to call it one of the best films ever is ridiculous. To call my favorite movie, GoodFellas, one of the best ever made would be a bit of a stretch and GoodFellas was way, way better than Requiem. If you like Darren Aronofsky you should watch The Wrestler, I would say its his best.

  • well, of course i can respect YOUR opinion too. it´s all a matter of taste, but it sure is interesting how much taste can differ. especially because i think you know what you´re talking about (goodfellas is indeed a fantastic movie and you´re totally right: ellen burstyn owned that movie).

no, i am not an aronofsky fan (don´t get why a lot of people worship him). didn´t like "PI" or the other one. and i didn´t even knew "The Wrestler" was by aronofsky.

    greetz from berlin

  • I hated this movie

  • Thats a bingo!

Although I respectfully disagree on a few points, awesome review!

  • Exactly! Great review! I think Tarantino needs to review some ROBERT MCKEE and learn how to exact a good story.

The last act was dissapointing, the two stories never meld well. The basterds feel like filibuster for the jewish girls half ass plot.

Remove the basterds and rename the film REVENG OF THE GIANT FACE.

  • Once again.. How did it end

  • Great review. Ive seen a few and this is the first that was 100% right. Without dropping a spoiler, I'll try to explain why Shosanna/Landa don't cross paths in the third act: because of where Landa is and what he is doing near the end of the film. Had paths crossed, surely he would have died, and then the outcome of the movie would be different. Think about the very ending and how that could only be possible if Landa/Shosanna did not meet one last time. Sorry to tease with my vagueness.

  • I snuck into this movie and got kicked out near the end. I'm at the part where the theater is on fire and the basterds are shooting the Nazis in the theater. What happens after that?

  • funny movie

  • just got back from seeing this film and it is the shit! i love all qt films tho

  • I thought this movie was alright as a one time watch.

  • what was the point of having that scene of the guy with the machine gun standing on the rock? he died anyway at the bar..

  • and this film was made in just 10 months..

Inglourious Basterds is one of the best motion pictures I've seen in my life.

  • Exactly my thoughts on the movie. 5 stars

  • This movie wasn't very good in my opinion. Now, I am not a Tarantino fan. I find his movies stupid beyond belief. The only reason I saw this one was because I got free tickets. I do agree with the fact that Landa was an amazing villain. But other than that, I was thoroughly unimpressed throughout this entire movie. Great review though, I may just subscribe.

  • This film was a whole new genre of taking something very real and turning it mutilating it in to great twist that leaves the audience excited and satisfied. Excellent film - even the parts that weren't action packed had me on the edge of my seat with chills running down my spine. Christoph Waltz's performance was stunning, as to Brad Pitt and Eli Roth. Quentin Tarantino sure as hell knows how to make a kick ass film! 5/5!

  • very good.

  • you said pretty much everything i said. i'm subscribing

  • I second that.

  • thats a good point about shoshanna and landa never coming to blows, very annoying.

  • good quality clips my mate

  • it was shit comm on u crazy boy you are no director just rubish maker ;)

  • Good review, Anthony.

And yes, Christoph Waltz is an excellent actor.

Being able to portray such an eloquent, polyglot and multifaced character so naturally as he does, that's something I've rarely seen in films. He deserves an Oscar for this role.

  • The fact that the characters from the two story threads never intersect didn't bother me at all. I actually preferred that they didn't meet, as that would have felt a tad forced. I liked the choice that two separate murder plots intersected the way they did.

As for not getting enough time with Raine's crew, I understand what you're saying, but Tarantino has always been a big fan of shorthand when it comes to characters. No real surprise there.

  • christoph waltz is really amazing!

  • Just came back from the cinema and I give this 5 stars and I'm not easily impressed. Plus Melanie Laurent is gorgeous.

  • Christoph Waltz doesn't really need an Oscar, it would be great and he totaly deserves one but he already won best actor at the Canes film festival, after that winning an Oscar is peanuts.

  • An Oscar isn't just a statue, it's also money.

  • Wow, just wow. Being an actor isn't about money, it brings alot of it in but it's not the bottom line. dick.

  • Chill dude, all I said is that it's not only a honored statue, but also a big load of money.

I never said it was the bottom line.

  • Comment removed

  • I thought it was pretty good. Dialogue was excellent as well as the seperate plot lines that come together at the premier. Fictional, i mean they did kill Hitler and all, but it was very well put out. Not as good as Pulp Fiction but i can say this was a good movie.

  • U know I was disapointed in the movie!! :( I had such high hopes but it didn't have as much action as I thought it would!! But it was alright!

  • i just saw this an hour ago(my first tarantino film i seen). but this movie was fucking amazing. WATCH THIS!!!!!!!!!

  • Even me (a 15 year old male) thought this film had wayyyyyy too much gore.

  • i was blown away by the gore and death

they are making it look more and more real every time

and its impressive as hell , most likley a mix of cgi and actually ripping dummies apart. all the ladies in the theatre where like O_O!

  • What's funny(and kind of creepy) about the gore and death is, Tarantino doesn't use CGI. So...

  • I subbed too :] you're an excellent movie critic.

  • GREAT review. Subbed.

  • aww man Hans Landa had such badass persuasive skill in this film, he was like taking it easy on his target but then bam at the end of a nice nazi talk with the guy, he confronts him with cold hard facts that make any character shit in his pants. He deserves an oscar!

  • I thought the german detective was a really good actor

  • i wish the film just dealt with one plot and have the girl connect with basterds by housing them in the theatres. story was short and the bastards should have had more screentime and focus on each of them.

  • your completly right,

Tarantino is the master of Dialouge in his films.

He writes all his films and he has a gift

  • Hell ya .. best review of this movie eva.. !! mate u doing a great job !!!

    thumbs up !!!!!

  • nice review dude. It seems to have split people down the middle here in the U.K

  • agree wholeheartedly particulurly about the villain, the bar scene i feel was a perfect example of what u said about the dialogue being to drawn out

  • I'd agree with most of what you're saying, but especially on the violence angle. The violence was too graphic and gory, and surprisingly for Tarantino, kinda real.

But apart from that minor downside, a thoroughly good movie.

  • There was way to much talking. The dialog was good but if you want "good" dialog" go read a book. If you want something visually impressive then this is not the movie for you. When I go watch a movie I don't want to watch a move with the limitations of a theater play if you will....

  • I have no desire to see a film with that loser Eli Roth in it. That guy's a real loser for what he did to those little kids in Hostel 2. You suck Eli Roth.

  • but he kicks nazi ass wif baseballbats in this! YEAH BITCH!

  • Comment removed

  • Do i old movie like Kramer vs Kramer ya thats good or The Deer Hunter

  • great review

    keep them coming

  • IB was pretty much more of the same thing from Tarantino...it's just something new from him but Pulp Fiction, Resevoir and the Kill Bill films were JUST as violent. Theres narration in his other films as well and BIG names of people smashing on the screen in a scene. Didn't mind the movie but it didn't WOW me either. I thought Shoshana Dreyfus was MORE interesting that any of the other characters. BTW, the movie is called Inglorious Basterds...where were the 'basterds' for most of the movie???

  • Fuck man, stop stealing my thoughts... although i didn't think there was very much violence. And i liked brad pitt or the villian dude the best but i agree with you

  • see it dont wait just see it,while im a fan of QT I like Kill 1 & 2,I have not seen death proof,Inglourious basterds is his newest masterpeice,as Aldo Raine says, its equal to pulp fiction

  • Cool review, except I think you scared me alot! I'm not sure if I want to go see it D: AHHH. I mean, I want to see it, but I'm not sure who I want to take with me.

I'm scared out of my wits now, but I still am going to go see it tonight because I can't miss the Tarintino dialougue and the BA villian and brad pitt is a good actor. Shit. Whatever, I'll go watch another review; yours was good and entertaining, but you told me that I will be scared if I go watch it. Pce out sir.

  • The "imperfections" you mention, have no real significance. I mean, you dont criticize a Picasso painting because it messy, or to bright, or the anatomy is inaccurate. When something is done masterfully, flaws are nothing more than points of interest. I would say the the problems of this film are not worth mentioning.

  • Then what's the point of film criticism?

  • Well i suppose there are MANY points.. But sometimes nitpicking can make a criticism feel as though its lacking in substance. Obviously, criticism is an art in its self. Imagine if someone stands in front of Picasso's "Guernica " and points how poorly drawn the figures are, or how gravelly Bob Dylans voice is... These details, while true, are of so little importance or relevance to the nature of what makes the work great, the the critic becomes like a mosquito in ones ear, a mere annoyance.

  • I feel quite sorry for full time critics.

At the end of the day, criticizing is ALL they do.

  • Fave reviewer

  • yea im 12 and saw the movie yesterday

  • good review homes

  • im 12 and i seen it yesterday lol

  • so how was it ? Your 12 and what did you see thorugh your eye :P to remind you, this is a masterpeiece movie...

  • Terrible review, you just don't sound like you know what you're talking about when it comes to Tarantino movies.

  • that's a stupid comment, he clearly does

  • Good review, keep 'em coming.

  • PLEASE VEIW AND REVEIW MY FILMS.

  • Oh my god... I saw this movie opening night at my theater and holy shit I was blown away. It's well worth the money and well worth wincing through the guts and gore of a typical Tarantino movie.

  • PLEASE ENTER ARI JESUS!!!!!

  • yea u made some good points which i never thought of when i saw it.

thought it was a brilliant film though. possibly one of the best ive seen.

  • I was disappointed about the movie as well...

  • solid review!

  • i must admit you did have a good review and might i add THIS FILM WAS EPIC!!!!!

  • he is absolutely correct i would have rather just seen the basterds more and the rest of the people less. and i do not like paying 20 dollars to read

  • i disagree, i was amazed with the fluency of the dialog and the interesting character development

  • Excellent review. Keep 'em up.

  • damn that review was really great

  • Amazing movie

  • man you are crazy...Kill Bill 1 and 2 DESTROYED Basterds

  • thought this movie was a massive disappointment and i love Tarantino

  • Great review, please keep them coming, I'm subscribing now.

  • good objective review. i'm off to watch the film in a couple of hours and i cant wait...

  • Inglorious Basterds... = waste of time

  • This film was fantastic. The trailer makes it look like it drives off of violence, but in no way it is like that. The film drives off of dialogue, and has a simpler Tarantino storyline. The acting is fantastic especially the role of Col. Hans Landa by Christoph Waltz. Wouldn't be surprised if he got an Oscar nomination. Overall, the few violent scenes were graphic but it felt necessary to the film because of its comic novel style. This is definitely worth its ten bucks for its creativeness.

  • great review thanks!

  • Hans Landa is Holmes/Moriarty rolled into one

check out the Hurt Locker, my fav movie so far.

  • why ruin suprises? thats not the point of a review.

  • sorry, i was really excited, and i couldn't help myself

  • district 9 is definltly the most interesting movie iv ever seen

  • ...ok?

  • just saw, will see again, it pwnd. oh and the hot blonde who plays an actress in the movie was great

  • Incredible Review........can't wait to see the movie!

  • Quentin Tarantino, one of the best directors ever.

  • Great review. I am very excited to see this film. I have seen nearly everything that Tarintino has done with the exception of Jackie Brown and Death Proof and have loved them. I also have to see Jackie Brown and Death Proof because from what I have herd they are excellent.

  • With Death Proof, you have to remember its a tribute to the 1980 B Movies, so take it relatively light hardly :)

  • Tarantino is up there with the greats, but when it comes watching Death Proof, you have to ask yourself, do I mind lots and lots of dialogue? Am I ok with 80's B movies? Do I have enough patience? Death Proof is a tribute to 80's B films and therefore, depending on who you are, may be very dissapointing, or quite interesting and fun to watch. I myself didn't enjoy it, but I love all his other films :)

  • Yes I knew it was a tribute to 90's B films which is kinda of why I wanted to see it. I haven't seen many (mostly because i haven't been able to get ahold of them without looking and also i wasn't familiar with the genre) but I have always been intrigued by them. I just say it a couple days ago and I LOVED it, it was fantastic. Being a huge fan of QT's movies (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol. 2 and now Inglorious are my top all time fav's although you could say I enjoy them all equally.) I (cont.)

  • Hardly mind the dialogue and in fact it's one of the things I LOVE about his movies. I also loved Inglorious. It seemed to me from the trailer that he had possibly ditched some of his trademarks for this movie (such as dated footage look and excessive dialogue) although I was proven wrong, at least in terms of the dialogue. The movie was fantastic and the conclusion was so well done. Phenomenal.

  • Good review you should make more!

  • Actually, I think Kill BIll 1 & 2 are classics, two of my favorite Tarantino films. So my thumbs up is more of a HALF thumbs up lol.

  • is there any sexual scenes

  • No.

  • 1 for like 5 seconds lol

  • do they show nudity in that 5 seconds?

not that i would want to see it, i would hate for quentin tarantino to blow his non-nudity streak, well, besides the ones he wrote and produced, but he hasn't showed nudity in his films that he actually full on directed...

  • well yeah kinda u cant see anything properly.

  • thats good to know

  • Well put, thorough, keep it up!

    <
