I am an atheist; but also human. I was moved and touched by this video. I saw my grandfather and his demise from cancer in it. I saw what may be for my own father, for me, for me son. Steve was graceful and human to the end, which is the best hope of all. Thank you for giving a powerful example of how to pass from this world.
"God has a plan that's much bigger than my plan" this is a true man of God who understands this. So many people blame God for the evil and wrongdoings in this world, they want things their way. They don't understand God. They don't realize that growth only comes from struggle and hardship. They can't comprehend that it isn't about this life, but the next. But this man, even when he had nothing left in this life, accepted God's will over his own. He is truly blessed.
He was grateful and passionate until he drew his last breath. That is conducting oneself with courage, honor and dignity. Most will never know his level of existence. And that is to be pitied.

I was just browsing through youtube tonight when I found this video. Wow! This made me want to cry so much!! But I couldn't because my sister was sleeping. There is a God, but not the God that you all think there is. He isn't sitting on his chair in "Heaven" no. To me he is life and NOTHING but LIFE! If God were to be a supernatural human being all the wars, deseases, violence, adultery, wrongful deaths would STOP! My grandpa is going to die soon... maybe like 3 to 6 weeks max i think. He smoked lot and he was soo addicted. he is now 74 years old, the cancer is now all in is body, and now it reach the brain, its freaking sad! hospital don't help him, today he wanted to smoke and they don't give it to him. He was angry and don't wanted to listen to anyone. And i heard if he can't be controlled they will give him drug to calm him, if it doesn't work they will tied him up!! SERIOUSLY !?!?

Cancer doesn't discriminate, it doesn't care about social boundaries or anything like that, it can strike anyone one of us at anytime. But, there's some things that are being hidden from us. We're not being told the truth.

this brings back a lot of sad memories for me having lost my father to lung cancer in 1998 .He turned very religous in the last few weeks of his life as most people do who are terminaly ill do as they all have a fear of god and of the unknown but as christ said you have nothing to fear, (our place's in paradise was won by the spilling of the blood of the lamb of god) believe in god and believeth in me for i am the truth the way and the light. My father passed away from Lung Cancer on September 15, 2009. This was the most devastating thing to ever happen to me! I remember when he was on his death bed. This video has me so emotional right now. He had loss all of his hair due to Chemo and weighed very little before he passed. *Crying* Rest In Peace! :-(
@MrDarryl1977 The Lord was there with my family after Steve aka my dad died in many ways just a few ways was supplying my every need to graduate from a university, giving me my now husband to have a shoulder to cry on, giving me stable men in my life to finish the example my father left. In addition putting people in the right place at the right time to have my wedding paid for in full. There is the Lord and that is just the beginning of what He is doing through ONE person.
Where is the lord now? I feel sorry for this man. That he died so early in life and left a beautiful family behind. But I feel nothing, when he rants about God. A God that let him die in this bed, lonely and scared, of a horrible disease. What sort of God is that? I believe this is our only life and we have to make the most of it, right now. This video brought me to tears! My grandpa has stage 4 liver cancer that has spread from the stomach. He survived colon cancer once before and even survived cardiac arrest. He was sent home from the hospital with pain meds. He has decided to keep doing Chemo, and we are praying that he pulls through. Please pray for him! She was in this same condition, but before dying, for a few weeks,she had lots of "visits" from people who had died. She also saw two angels standing at the foot of her bed quite often. I refused treatment for my cancer 6 years ago - being told i would last, without it, just 2. It has now shown itself again. Treatment? No. I will not be a burden. So, as i sit here smoking (not lung cancer), aged 55, i reflect on what life is. Well, it is exactly that, it just IS. No fate, destiny, it just "is." It has been great, terrible, wonderful and,at times, mysterious. But, for me, never spiritual. If there is a god, let him judge me on my life, not on how i failed worship him.

And you know what? This guy was probably ten times happier throughout his life than you've ever been in yours. While religion has lead to untold cruelty throughout history, it's also fueled untold amounts of love and compassion. That's all life is about, anyway- making connections.
I believe in no god, but besides that i truly apreciate him sharing with us all his toughts, on his last days, about values of life, wich only someone in his position can truly grasp.

I'm sorry I have to say this, its not a personal attack or anything but watching this hurt me in a way that opened my eyes to how fragile our lives are.
This was Steve and next time will be your mom or dad or brother. Next time might be you or me. Who knows how it will end... You should learn to take it with courage, be it cancer or hiv or smth else. Just have courage and know it happens a lot more often then you think.

My grandpa is going to die soon... maybe like 3 to 6 weeks max i think. He smoked lot and he was soo addicted. he is now 74 years old, the cancer is now all in is body, and now it reach the brain, its freaking sad! hospital don't help him, today he wanted to smoke and they don't give it to him. He was angry and don't wanted to listen to anyone. And i heard if he can't be controlled they will give him drug to calm him, if it doesn't work they will tied him up!! SERIOUSLY !?!?

My father passed away from Lung Cancer on September 15, 2009. This was the most devastating thing to ever happen to me! I remember when he was on his death bed. This video has me so emotional right now. He had loss all of his hair due to Chemo and weighed very little before he passed. *Crying* Rest In Peace! :-(

@MrDarryl1977 The Lord was there with my family after Steve aka my dad died in many ways just a few ways was supplying my every need to graduate from a university, giving me my now husband to have a shoulder to cry on, giving me stable men in my life to finish the example my father left. In addition putting people in the right place at the right time to have my wedding paid for in full. There is the Lord and that is just the beginning of what He is doing through ONE person.

A God that let him die in this bed, lonely and scared, of a horrible disease. What sort of God is that? I believe this is our only life and we have to make the most of it, right now. This video brought me to tears! My grandpa has stage 4 liver cancer that has spread from the stomach. He survived colon cancer once before and even survived cardiac arrest. He was sent home from the hospital with pain meds. He has decided to keep doing Chemo, and we are praying that he pulls through. Please pray for him! He gets stronger every day, but it is hard to tell what the cancer is doing. Thank you for posting this video. Steve seems like he is a very wise and strong man. God is amazing!

I cared for my mother the last twenty months of her life. She had lung cancer and had never smoked. She was in this same condition, but before dying, for a few weeks,she had lots of "visits" from people who had died. She also saw two angels standing at the foot of her bed quite often. And yet, she thought she was getting better. I miss her so much. It's so important to be near people as you were with this dear friend as they die. Don't let them go alone.

it is baking soda, 2 tsp baking soda dissolved in a glass of water,and 1 teaspoon of liquid molasses 3 x s a day,
cancer is a fungus and feeds on sugar, that is what the molasses is for,
when the cancer eats the molasses it eats the baking soda and dies,it will all so raise the ph in his body

I refused treatment for my cancer 6 years ago - being told i would last, without it, just 2. It has now shown itself again. Treatment? No. I will not be a burden. So, as i sit here smoking (not lung cancer), aged 55, i reflect on what life is. Well, it is exactly that, it just IS. No fate, destiny, it just "is." It has been great, terrible, wonderful and,at times, mysterious. But, for me, never spiritual. If there is a god, let him judge me on my life, not on how i failed worship him.

@kim24may Take some time to mourn. Then think about the man your father was, and do something with your life that memorializes him and celebrates his life. It doesn't have to be anything spectacular. It can be something as simple as looking up at the stars each night and thinking of him, hoping that he can see the joy in your life.
