Hey if Rush has any songs like this please message me the names. I can't seem to get enough of this kind of music. Apparently it's only Porcupine Tree that supplies me with it. Not that I'm complaining ^^
Beautiful bit of prog instrumental work. The way it just keeps building in pace and complexity without ever sounding jarring or cacophonous... fantastic stuff.
Steven Wilson never fails to strike just about every chord within us with his amazing sounds whether its through Porcupine Tree, No-Man, Blackfield, or just he himself. :) Thanks for posting.
Thank you my friend! :) Really enjoyed putting this vid together; the best part being able to listen to this fine piece (and peace) of music over and over! ~~John
Listened to this tune the other day, precisely, while watching the stars. Such an exquisite, amazing, vertiginous, ethereal piece. A magic mix of tecnique and mindblowingness, with a pretty remarkable bassline. This is, actually, one of my favourite songs, I'm so glad you uploaded it.
Couldn't agree with you more! One of my favourite PT songs as well. The composition is nothing short of brilliant! Love the buildup until delivery the "truth" at 3:45 when they let rip with some of the finest guitar I've ever had the priviledge of listening to! What follows is indeed a mind blowing journey! For me, Staircase Infinities is indeed an amazing collection of distinct soulful music that takes some of the PF classics more than a few steps forward ! Cheers! :)
It's not a song, it's an experience :] Lovei t!

The original first version included in the Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape CD is a crap compared to this version of the Staircase Infinites.....

Tangerine Dream did something like this with their ricochet album. Not as heavy, but similar.

This is really fantastic. Wow steve and his mates know how to jam, in a classical, awesome way. This is brilliance at work people.

Straordinari Porcupine Tree ! .. Il loro attuale "corso musicale" è un vero affronto
a quanto componevano nel 1995, nel Capolavoro "Staircase Infinities" .
