  • great video. I have recently become obsessed with the success rates of these programs vs without. I am in the process of doing some looking at drug and alcohol offender stats here in AK. I think that if you look at the repeat rate of these crimes, you should get a reasonable look at the success rates. Virtually all drug and alcohol offenders are given court ordered 12 step meetings. These #'s may not be accurate however, because they do not take into account better criminals, death, ect.

  • I know. Most of the criminal culties reoffend (probably because they come to believe its part of a disease over which they are powerless), and it gets worse...

Check out 'alcoholics anonymous - who are you sitting next to?' by blamethenile. Its chilling.

  • Who I was mingling with when I attended meetings was a major factor in me stopping going.

I wouldn't have drank with the majority - but my atheism caused near perplexity among a large number.

  • Same here - thankyou for stopping by!

  • what will the 12 steppers say now? "AA didn't fail our children our children failed AA because they were morally unfit?"

  • Yep, and then they will probably tell them to look at their part in it and make ammends to AA...
