OWS is about fighting against derivative bets, fraud, and corporatism, and irrelative tax rates. If 35% is fine for millionaires, then we have to lower all other tax rates so that they are relatively fair.

@weetoy69 I didn't include SS as a freebie, I said Social Security is insolvent. The freebies I refer to is when you mentioned you wanted the US to have free higher education.

I pay every single month for my education. I have no problem with that. This isn't "Land of the free" because we are supposed to get free healthcare, free education, free cars, etc. It is land of the free because we are supposed to have LIBERTY. Government mandates are not akin to a free society!

Heroin was legal in this country less than 100 years ago, and they had opium dens, yet the problems surrounding the drug were not nearly as sever as they are now.

Minimum wage regs are not the friend of the poor, it just sends jobs overseas.

@weetoy69 Ron Paul can not and will not phase out the insolvent system of social security. Rather, Ron Paul wants to END MANDATES. No one in a free society should be MANDATED to opt into a retirement plan OR a health care plan.

Ron Paul on the income tax issue wants ZERO income tax FOR EVERYONE. Of course he can't make decisions like that by himself, he needs congress to vote on that. So don't make him out to sound like a would-be evil dictator. Ron Paul believes in LIBERTY!

Unfortunately, we have been taught by the media to covet our neighbor. Everyone thinks that if one person has a fancy car, big house, etc. then they need it too. Why is money always at the core of all our problems? We care more about money that our own country and family a lot of times. It is really sad.

on the tax issue, can you at least agree the bush tax cuts are too much. im saying they are not paying their fair share, im talking the top 1% the billionaires who pay off politicians. the bankers who use our money to gamble with.

@keithbu I know that the 1% make 19% of the income, and pay 37% of the collected taxes in the USA. If anything that is disproportionate to the rich. The lower income earners in the 50% of the population make 13% of the income and pay only 3% of the taxes.

I can agree that we need to end loopholes. However, I don't believe in income taxes, and I also believe that the rich are if anything OVER taxed.

The problem is not how much money we are taking in, its where we spend it!

@keithbu they do that because government bribes have the largest return in the market and that is because of the fed's interest rates and the power the government has to project it self against those that dont bribe them and repay those that do bribe them. take away the power and you take away the bribes.
