@fonkymaster Yes, I understand that concept and you need to relax. Yes it is indeed possible to fail basic training for a mulititude of reasons, but the DI's will try their best to get you through. Usually if you fail at first you get recycled and get a second chance. That was what a simple google search told me.
We were taught to tie knots in the end of our laces to avoid having to lace them again. It makes it harder to clean between the laces, but saves you time each and every time you take off your boots or put them on.
I hope that someone follows his advice to improve MRE's! Also, beware of te spoiled MRE! I have encountered two so far that smelled like road kill. That would give you the rocket skeets for two weeks, at least, and take you off the line.

From-om my-eye system-em anyway-ay, this-is - is --reverberating-ing. If this is not my problem, and I don't think it is, please repost. Excellelent information, though, and higher-ups need to listen to what he says about simple ways of greatly improving MRE's. ONE MORE TING -- I once opened an MRE that smelled like road-kill. It was spoiled. Do not get sick off of these or you will have the rocket-skeets for a month.
My DI made us do end knots at the end of the lace, also Not to cut down the new army but I think Desert Leathers are for pusses. those wouldn't last a day in a jungle creep.
fiiiiiiiiinally! ive been trying to hard to find tips for basic training to get ahead of the game before i go! thanx for posting all this stuff man! its very useful and greatly appreciated!
I bet the ignorance of the military life is what deters a great deal of those who consider service. I'm thankful for your interest!
The laces are EZ to know, but knowing how to put on a good shine on our black boots was really important. Meh, at least you don't have to worry about that! :)
