  • I have a Turk and it shoots like a dream with its long barrel.

  • @adolf0580

Wenn man die abknallt... Warum sollte man die dann noch inne gaskammer sperren???

Aber was ist denn sooo schlimm? Es ist trotzdem ne waffe wie jede andere auch

  • finally a video that shows how loud this gun actually is.

  • I got my SANDBAGS in my car... do you want SANDBAGS?!

    SANDBAAAAGGGSS!!!!!!

  • I got a old mauser but a guy did some mods to it. Most of forearm where the cleaning rod is is gone and he put new sights on it, and i put a scope on it. Hits deer like a brick and its pretty accurate

  • Looks like a fun range

  • best 2 guns that i like ak47 and mauser k98

  • THAT'S a weapon :D

    BAM

  • @MartinLuciferKing You idiot, did I sound like I was offended by the icon? I would prefer a rifle that HAD the symbol still on it because of its historical value. None of my family were killed in that fight. I have nothing to 'get over'.

  • awesome range you've got there lol

  • forget you the mauser is better than those weapons!

  • I have an original sniper rifle with all matching numbers my grandfather picked up in Holland during WWII. I got the rifle when I turned 15 and I'm 42 now and every deer season it puts food on my table. Last year I got a 1600lb moose at 450 yards with 1 shot to the side of it's head. I may have to replace the scope soon it's starting to wander all over the place. This rifle hits as hard as my Springfield 1903a4 and is just as acccurate. I love these old guns with a lot of history behind them.

  • don't ever sell that thing since it is original, they are getting very rare very fast

  • I was offered 12,000 dollars for my Mauser and my springfield and I laughed at this guy. They will be passed on to the one in my family who knows how to take care of all my antique rifles.

  • damn... was the scope original too? hopefully you pass it down to family that won't sell it and will carry on passing it too.

  • It is all original with matching numbers. It is a tack driver with handloads with a repro scope.

  • Good for you my friend

You have to admit the Germans made some awesome rifles!

  • I also had a 300 Weatherby magnum rifle with a mauser action that was hand built by Roy Weatherby Sr. himself for one of my great uncles who passed it to me and I gave it to his Grandson for when he is old enough to use it.

  • Amazing how they keep shooting if you take good care of them! Is it expensive to get ammo for it? There is one for sale near my place. I am tempted to snatch it.

  • @CrystalHunter1989 get it! it is worth the money if the gun is all original.

  • How do I tell? I'm no expert, all I know is that it still has the eagle and swastika on the barrel and is dated 1940.

  • @CrystalHunter1989 BUY IT!!!!!!!!!! It's getting harder to find original guns that did not have all nazi markings removed.

  • the ammo cost just about the same as .30-06

  • @CrystalHunter1989, go to gunboards(dot)com, look up "Bill in Indiana" in the k98 forums. He knows just about EVERYTHING.

  • Nice K98 i picked up The yugoslavian M48for 375$ excellent condition! basically the same rifle 8mm is a very nice caliber =)

  • im glad i finally got one. there very powerful and have a decient kick but there alot of fun to shoot. i paid about 300 for mine

  • beautifull weapon. can someone tell mehow much does it cost in US $ ???

  • is that an m249 in the background?

  • love k98s shot mine at 8 inch steel plates at 200 yards still went through and trashed it...

  • bloody beautiful mauser man getin one myself soon

  • Do you want sandbags? But nice rifle i might get one if i can get the money.

  • its a 2 stage trigger

  • "Ive got sand bags in the car! ya wont sandbags?!" "noo"

    hahahaha

  • i swear this had more views than 73K a week ago. Tube increaser ?

  • Very very nice rifle.

  • jeez! can u imagine getting hit by that!!

  • very nice K98. What are the specs on the scope? Like.. how much was it? Where did you get it?

  • what kind of firearms are you allowed to possess in UK?

  • Mostly none. You are allowed licences to own rifles and shotguns if you use them professionally (farming etc) and if you're a member of a sporting club or hunt for which you have to go through a lot of redtape. It's illegal to own any form of handgun since 92.

It's rare to own a licence in the UK. I only know one guy who owns a rifle (a rather nice Mauser) and that's because his father owns a tract of land with deer on it in Scotland.

  • lol the people that are allowed to own weapons are because they're on a farm, they own the land, and there's deer on it? thats good for the gun owner but overall that kinda sucks lol

  • i own a kar98k and i live in the uk. it's not that rare to own a licence in the uk. i know a handful of shooters with licences.

  • Zero. It's a nanny state.

  • i wish i could have weapons but my countrys laws cant allow that ...... oh well just let the thiefs and criminals kill me while im sleeping....

  • That sucks man. Where do you live ? I think law-abiding citizens should have the right to own firearms in any country to defend themselves.

  • exactly in Portugal, carjack is everywhere and crime is rising it sux

  • well not so much as to defend themselves, im thinking people are wanting them for sport.

  • @DMVADC thats why we have black markets

  • @DMVADC yeah i have the same problem my friend...i love weapons but the are not allowed in germany....even airguns can max have 7 joules and even softairs are only allowed in semi auto...full auto isnt allowed :P sometimes it sucks to live in europe^^

  • @AIVger join the group :P

  • @AIVger Well Holland's not much better.. Airguns are allowed above 7 Joule, but airsoft isn't allowed at all! Which quite sucks.

  • @DMVADC where are you from? brazil?!

    UAHHAUUAH

  • @DMVADC what country???

  • @DMVADC so are you in england like me, because weapons are allowed but get lots of permits and go through loads of paper-work. Also you have to keep it in a locked steel safe (for handguns that is, shotguns and rifles you need a kind of metal closet)when it isn't on your person.

  • Being from America I feel bad for you guys that want to shoot in other countrys and get some different firearms. I could literally leave my house right now and be back in less than an hour with a legally purchased M4, AK47, or .50cal Barret rifle. They call the FBI right when you buy the gun and thats it. A pistol would take me a day or so. Good luck guys hope you can get more firearms in the future.

  • @hemiram04 obiously you dont know how to purchase a firearm, you have to get the Form 4473, and have a waitng period before you can go and pick it up, you cant just walk in buy a gun and walk out

  • @simplygarnett Well either your ignorant or your firearms dealer sucks, Im guessing both. When you go to purchase the firearm you fill out the form 4473 answer the ridiculous questions then they take the form and call the ATF right while you are there the check is done over the phone. the only wait is in the store. your a fool.

  • @DMVADC haha look at the upside, at least you don't have the expense that using ammo invokes.

  • @DMVADC Im pretty certain Portugal, like the rest of Europe permits private firearm ownership.I know Spain does&the UK does. What weapons are you refering to:pistols,semi-auto rifles/shotguns,etc?

  • @DMVADC

    Move to America!

  • I have a yugo m48, which is basically a direct copy of the k98, it bucks alot harder than my 03 rifle, but the 03 was licensed by the gov,t from mauser because mauser's action is the best bolt design

  • I have a 8mm mauser my dad bought it from a army surplius back a while ago for $30 well its worth a few more dollars today. one of my favorite rifles I own.

  • i dont know about the springfield but the

k98 isnt made to be a sniper rifle its a bolt action with a scope on it but it can be used to snipe and it works well

  • the 30.06 has a slight more recoil than the 8mm

  • yea a little the 30-06 is a bigger bullet

  • like by .3 lol i shoot 196 grain FMJ dont know about you but she kicks

  • that is one beautiful rifle

  • Oh and the sound of a mauser has a unique sound, the springfield does not have that type of sound, it is much more quieter so do your research man!

  • Yeah wo2collector is right its a Kar98K, if you look closely you can see that it has a completly different scope then the springfield. Besides the springfield sucked ass, it has really bad recoil. I know my german mauser trust me :)

  • The Springfield's action is almost exactly the same as the Mauser action. Its damned accurate. And 30/06 doesn't recoil that bad.

  • cuz we stole the damn design

  • yo zumbimaluco it is a k98 dumbass

  • this gun has a big punch to it doesnt she mate

  • youre one dummy

  • this rifle got a really bad recoil. today i fired this gun the first time and my shoulder still hurts ^^

  • pussy put on some muscle

  • how a k98 have a lot of kick?

  • instantfly - when you're in the shit, you need to lay down fire and a lot of it to get the enemy to keep his head down. While he's ducking, you have a better chance of flanking him, so i donlt buy that "wasted ammo" argument and never did. Properly trained troops don't waste ammo, they use it ti supress enemy fire.

  • About that ping thing... My father told me he (an many others) carried empty clips and often dropped them on the ground to get the Krauts to raise their heads and start firing. He siad it worked well until the germans figured it out. After they caught on, all you had to do was throw on down to keep them ducking. That worked just as well as getting the to reveal themselves. Either way was just fine. 30/06 accuracy was outstanding, so was the Garand. The two were a tough combination to beat.

  • Yes they were a great combo, and still r to this day, but u must admit that the 1903 .30/06 combo bets the garand in accuracy

  • Absolutely true - a good bolt action with a strong positive lock and the right barrell will always our perform a semi (in the accuracy department). Overall the Garand got higher marks because of its raoid fire capability, and thats why it was adopted. Both are outstanding weapons to this day!

  • Mauser has better accuracy. Mauser works in the freezing ass cold, wanna talk WW2 ? Those semi-auto Garands FROZE shut from moisture and non fire. They also allowed untrained men to waste ammo. Why do you think almost every largebore hunting rifle has the action of the Mauser ? Even in common day, I'll take a Smith & Wesson .50 revolver and hunt dump trucks while you play with 9mm semi auto that barely pierces car doors these days. It's all about the " Olde School " .

  • So true man

  • m1 garand takes a huge dump over the mauser.

  • yea until you hear that ping then mausers are hiting ya every other way

  • mauser kicks ass.

  • People like you make me laugh, the only thing they have on the Garand is the ping. You don't think before you comment. It's not like the soldiers are going to run out of ammo at the same time; rifles shoot while others reload.

And advantages of the Garand over the Mauser? Semi-auto fire, 8 round clip. Mauser: 5 round, bolt-action. If you had half a brain you'd know which has the advantage.

Don't get me wrong, I love both rifles, but simply the Garand is better. WWII is proof.

  • XD thats very true but i will be the devils avocate and just add the mauser had greater range

  • okay g43 gewehr, 10 rounds detachable magazine semi automatic and NO ping

  • Good weapon, but we're talking about the K98 and the M1 Garand, so basically it's not really relevant.

  • Yes the Garand is better because it was semi auto but compare any semi auto to a bolt action the semi auto will be superior due to rate of fire, accuracy another matter.

The mauser was the original bolt action that everybody copied, even today, still the best bolt action made, yeah the enfield had ten shots, stick a 25 round trench mag on the mauser ?

  • I dont recall Russia ever copying the mauser' We always stuck to our simple and reliable Mosin Nagant

  • sorry , I used the word everybody too loosely, I meant that many nations copied.

As for mosins I have one myself a tula 1929 ex dragoon with a pe scope. A s/42 mauser 1936I also have, I keep meaning to do some vids.

  • thats ok.

That sounds nice with a PE scope,I own a few mosin nagants myself as well as a enfield and mauser,Great rifles !

  • you're very lucky to have so many, iyo, which is the better rifle out of yours ?

  • The better out of them would probably be the mauser-I really like its design and strong bolt action. Accuracy wise their pretty much all the same when using hand loaded ammo,Ive gotten some really good groupings with my 91/30

  • Then again lets do some casualty comparisons: USA with much help 250,000.00, and germany without to much against a lot 450,000.00.

Training is the most important thing, and those snipers could have hundreds of kills to 1 ratios. The best bolt action rifle is unarguably the lee enfield hands down. Look up the mad minute. Mausers aren't great at all, just reliable.

  • Is the WWII mauser a 8mm or 7.92 57 mm or are they the same thing?

  • there the same thing ;)

  • I need to go change my pants.

  • I like the G36 beside of him.

  • i think it's a UCP

  • I meant the one on the handbag.

  • Duranda, what scope mount you got on that ?

Did you have to mod the action/bolt for clearance ?

Nice vid, cool sounding as well

  • Damn you've got some nice guns and a nice range. How much do you pull in a year? 5,6 hundred thousand maybe?

  • gotta love these rifles..

  • "i got sandbags, you want sandbags"

"no im fine" loooooooool, sick weopan mate :D

  • let's see a vid of the greaser! Or that M249 in the background.

    Adopt me?

  • Those 198 grn bullets knock the snot out of you. It's funny how nonody wants to shoot my Mauser. With the scope I imagine it's even worse !

  • what a weapon

  • to his wright it is deffinately a bull pup weapon. you can see the clip slot and the recognizable pistol grip i recognize with L58

  • Kar98s are so sexy with scopes

  • I can surely tell you that is a grease gun. =)

  • Wstydzili by sie na takiej odleglosci uzywac lunety snajperskiej

  • oh and btw, it does look like the greas gun, if its not its an mp40 becuse they did use those wired stocks on them, although its too tall to be an mp40

  • originally during world war 2 the germans had to scope the kar 98 "mauser" because of their lack of creativity in creating a sniper rifle

  • Whilst the US had to scope their M1903 Springfields and M1 Garands to have a sniper rifle yeah.

  • Sorry to go on guys but why do you want to scope a K98? The challenge AND the fun come from using the iron sight. You'll tighten the groups after a while!

  • Nexusvision09 are you kidding? It looks more like an M3 grease gun and absolutely nothing like an MP5. I fully concur about the K98k though - I have just got mine back and I adore it.

  • lol built ford tough..

  • Looks like he's got an MP5 lying on the table by his right arm. Beautiful rifle the 98k.

  • How can you think that's a MP5 next to him, doesn't even look like one.

To me it looks like a "grease gun" or mp40.

  • I envy you for having a Kar98 with a scope.....God thats beautiful!!

  • I guess I'm getting a K98 instead of a Mosin.

  • Yes a 98 mauser is much better than a mosin

  • Good luck getting your hands on a K98. They're valued collector items and can be very difficult to come by. The one I have sitting right behind me was acquired after a near 2 year wait on a list for one.

  • Not really that hard to get one, bought my first one at a gun show 2 weeks ago for 200 bucks, nice condition.

  • Good, then! :D What year?

  • What is the name of that scope you have attached to your k98? Also I am looking to buy a k98 can anyone give me a web site to find one or ideas where I can get one?

  • Zeiss ZF38. It's either an 8 or 10x.

  • Any idea where I could buy that scope?

  • There are quite a few of them laying in the dirt in Europe and Russia. After that, I really couldn't tell you. I do know that they are very expensive and very rare.

  • Well, what other scope would you say is a good scope that wouldn't modernize the rife seeing as I cant go "digging in the dirt of Europe". lol

  • Look around for old Lymans or Redfields. They arent't too hateful, and, while historically incorrect, they'll look like they could belong on the rifle.

  • I GOT ME SANDBAGS IN ME CAW!

  • gute deutsche wertarbeit eben.

  • richtig

  • well it has quite a kick eh ?? :)

  • nice M249 SAW on that table!!!!!!!!! i got dont have the cash for that

  • Are the rounds full power or reduced? It's got some serious recoil to it.

  • It's got a tremendous kick and probably one of the loudest guns I've ever shot. It's also probably my favorite.

  • fired one, didnt think it had a really big recoil

  • damn thtas really nice man

  • Where did you get the scope? And what Power is the Scope; it looks about 4x because the small bell but Idk. Hope you can get back to me on this.

  • Try the sandbag and hold your breath.... It eases the recoil (better aim)

  • fome tu wea conchetumare

  • HEY!!!!!!!!! What magnifacation is that scope? What scope would be perfect for a Mauser? Price doesnt matter i just want something that would be perfect. Where did you find the scope mounts for a Mauser??? I cant find anything of the sort anywhere.

  • recieved a german ww2 mauser from my uncle who was a former marine. it has no sight guard, and no round metal thingy on the buttstock of the rifle. its all matching parts. also, the bolt is jammed. we were taking it out of the rifle and we didnt have the safety on, it was on fire and everything jammed form there. if anyone has info questions, or tips on shooting it and safety, i would greatly appreciate it.

  • IVE GOT MY SANDBAGS IN MY CAW!

  • na bentrot the 8mm is 8x57mm ive got 1

  • MICK---8X57 AND 7,92X57 are the same......I've got 4!!!

  • "I am, the table" priceless asshole moment right there, lol!

  • lmao

  • lol they sound like there blowin off the english guy a little bit lol like hes one of those people you have around, but there only cool sometimes. lol.

  • army* sorry my poor writing! :S

  • Norwegian amry*

  • ok! In the Norwegian we are rebarelling the originals to 30-06... i DONT like what the norwegian army do with those beautiful rifles! :( But is it good rifles the 30-06 version, I have one 30- 06 and one original 7.92x57. I like the original one very much! :D

  • its 8mm

  • its called the 8mm mauser cartridge... but it actually isnt 8mm it is 7.92X57...

  • Decided that 8mm is easier to say, I bet. Lol!

Hey, I just recently got a mauser k98 (manufactured in 1915, my first collectors weapon :) but the barrel was plugged with a 2 foot steel rod... Is there a way to get it drilled/pulled out?

  • The reason it has a 2 foot steel rod in it because it is deactivated the only way you can fix it is to change the entire barrel

  • Aww, bummer... Oh well, it saves me having to refinish it, that much less work...

  • is it a rebarelled 30-06 or a original 7.92x57?

  • Original.

  • May you others around the rifleman please shut your mouth? One can't really hear the breath of the weapon!

  • ah...shooting is soo freaking fun! I love going out in the back 40 and shooting some squirrels....with any gun. I have a K98 mauser too, it's pretty accurate. Good gun.

I love the U.S. I hear so many people from other countries that can't even own guns...let alone go out shooing everywhere...it makes me know how lucky Iam to have my guns.

  • very beatiful rifle :::::::::::)

  • u americans have so much fun wiht u guns in denmark its illgal too have even a pistol >( SUCKS

    I want a STG 44 G 43 K 98 MG 34 MG 42

  • i hope u got alot of money, because u have to get a VERY expensive permit to own and use a fully automatic gun.

  • depending on the state ur in any where be tween $100.00 to $600.00 cheap realy exepet CA you cant own a full auto gun :,(

  • Oh no it's not illegal. I have plenty of firearms. Meld dig ind i en skytteforening. Hvor i DK er du? Hvis du er fra Sjælland/KBH, så kan jeg hjælpe.

BTW nice little film. I love the bang it makes :D What's the scope? Is it a genuine WWII?

  • you can get a WW2 scope they were made for snipers it will run you about $14.00 to $60.00 (US) depending on its make and model and where you buy it

  • The 1 unbreakable rule when shooting is 2 STFU while people are on the firing line! nt long before some1 loses an eye with half their fuckin brain

  • dude u need to chill, shooting is for fun, its not a competion.

  • :P nt wif the military, u do it automatically :P...but hey, shooting is indeed fun...and I wuld rly like the chance to fire some WW2 wepons :D

  • well, thats alot different, in the military they want top-preformance so they have u stfu. However, when ur out with ur friends it is boring as hell if u don't talk.

  • Yh...I wuld love to do it as a sport wif friends
