  • Will the original callanetics give you this shape? Such as the 10 years younger in 10 hours or the am/pm ones? Or is this only achieved by the south African callanetics?

  • @brookeogden - Callanetics generally gives the lifted butt, curves the hips over to a smaller waist - not just the South African callanetics

  • The critical commentary about the presenter/trainer is out of line. I think this lady looks great! Most people would, and if you don't, you should keep it to yourself or upload a video of yourself so we can make judgements and give personal opinions on your looks.

  • Ok sorry about that. The reality is that most people will think the same. Personal trainers are always associated with lean, fit bodies. That's just the way it is.

  • @MissVVanity - Don't be sorry. I enjoy different opinions & this is yours as a younger person. People who are older (45+), aren't looking for a young trainer who is lean & fit. They look for someone like me who looks really good for their age & can inspire them to be better. They don't relate to younger. On my recent body composition scan I am in the top 25% for my age group overall & muscle build in the top 10%. Working on being in top 10% overall so I have some work to do this summer!

  • No offense, but you are overweight yourself, therefore not convincing as a trainer. Sorry.

  • @MissVVanity - no offense taken. In this vid I am size12 - I don't consider that big - the avg woman is size14 - I used to be size18. I'm confident enough to remove my clothes on stage as a burlesque performer & model naked. No one thinks I'm overweight & men aren't complaining! I concentrate on a sexy shape, not thin.  Marilyn Monroe was size14 & I think she was very sexy! Maybe you don't. Perception is individual. Not everyone likes thin. There's a place in the world for every size and shape

  • @Callenetics Fair enough. I'm a size 8-10 and trying to drop to 6-8,so that's what brought me to Youtube. I do modelling so my priorities are on thin. You do have a nice shape tho',especially waist. I am sorry If I sounded harsh.

  • @MissVVanity - the 'not convincing as a trainer' may have been a tad harsh. Anyone size 14 or bigger looking at me would think I am an amazing trainer. We all have our perceptions & opinions so I don't take offense. Yr priorities differ to mine. Coaches of the best swimmers are not themselves the best swimmers but they have the knowledge to help others succeed. Can I get you to size 8? Definitely! Do I want to be size 8? No!. At 45 it is better to be a little bigger - the face looks better.

  • @fauxshizzlee - you can read about the SA DVDs on my website - I can't put the URL here but google new callanetics DVDs and look for the website callanetics-dvds - it has all the info about the DVDs - as for the difference between the SA and the USA, the technique is the same as on the newer DVD but some of the exercises are different as there are so many to choose and you can only put a few on a DVD.

  • Thank you so much for posting these videos. I have a plus size hour glass shape. I want to have a smaller waist and a flat naturally curved tummy and I want to lose a few inches off of the inside of my thighs, thats all. I hope Callanetics is right for me. So my question is do you have any suggestions for me on how to jump start losing inches off of my tummy? I do hula hooping and that has been great for my waist so far:) Thanks in advance.

  • @mekaziona - the tummy can be a tough one - I don't have a flat tummy - I have very strong tummy muscles which have pulled in my tummy but I still have a bit of fat over the muscles - for me to lose that tummy fat I would have to get very thin and I don't want to - so sometimes we have to be happy with some fat......start with situps

  • This is great because it targets the area I want smaller: my waist! I always thought the only way to only target the waist was getting surgery or wearing trainers/corsets. The program would be great for me :)

  • @sarabjarnveig87 - I don't have a flat stomach - I would have to lose more weight to achieve that!

  • @QueinSiingah - Oh dear........surgery is a bit drastic.........perhaps you should try a change of eating plan and a bit more exercise first.

  • Hell yes this is for me!!! I want a curvy figure!!! I don't want to lose nothing except my tummy. But should I follow a strict diet? What do u recommend?

  • @litlkutie - my best advice - drink water, cut out soft drinks and juice and eat less sugar - eat more protein

  • I noticed in most callenetics videos that the women have flat butts even the instructer. Does this happen to everyone? I want to get in shape but keep my curves.

  • @sliceofcandy - I think they have flat butts 'cos they were so slim......me, I have curves and a booty!!

  • Thank you for this "foreword". It has made me consider more seriously what kind of body shape I desire. I have been going to the gym since my teenage years and I love it. However I want to be more limber and so am seeking an exercise program that will help me achieve that.

  • @sodastream71 - I know Callans shape well. She was tiny but still had curves - she wasn't a stick figure - I love her butt and hip exercises that lift your butt and gives you the well known callanetics 'peach shape' as she called it - a curve up over the hips and pulling in at the waist - an swesome feminine figure - not a slim, non-curved ballet figure.

  • Can callenetics reverse the effects of pilates? I am curious to know, since doing pilates has altered my body in a way I do not like and I want my narrow waist back with wide hips?

  • @AnnisaAyana - Callanetics will return you to your natural shape and even better - it has really made my waist even smaller than it used to be.

  • the waist whittler works!! i'm top heavy and it actually toned my underarms and is cinching my waist. my figure is changing b4 my eyes.. I'm shaping up to an hourglass!! Not as dramatic as yours but still better than it was. Funny thing is everyone thinks i'm losing weight but it's just my shape changing. My weight is still within it's usually but i look smaller.... i don't correct 'em tho. I just say try callentics and thank you!
