  • The Brazilians did touch and goes on the Reagon?

  • Why did the 2nd one go around? Too Hot?

  • No, they use a different arresting and catapult system than us. Even if we could have stopped them, we probably wouldn't have been able to get them back in the air.

  • Well with that attitude why even bother trying. There is no try, only do and do not. Next time you make it happen.

  • @edyken77: What ARE you on about?

  • Only non US Nuc ? JFK and Shitty Kitty arent Nukes ?

  • No, JFK and Shitty Kitty aren't nukes.

  • No, they're not nukes. Kitty gets decom'd in about 2 years and the JFK won't be too far behind...getting too expensive to keep them running. Plus, the JFK is worthless, is has more broken parts than working parts.

  • Correct - that is the ex-Foch, now Sao Paolo bought from France. The 'Charles de Gaulle', the only non-US nuclear-powered aicraft carrier in the world, has replaced it and it's sister ship, the Clemenceau.

  • I dont think the brazilian carrier is operational currently so these guys were probably trying to brush up on their skills

  • It was operational When I took the USS RONALD REAGAN around South America to San Diego. How do you think the A-4's got out to us?

  • is this the nimitz in 2001 or what?

  • Actually, if you count where the arresting wires would have been (they were removed because the Brazilians were scared of snagging them), you would only count three wires...Tell-Tale sign that this is CVN-76, The USS RONALD REAGAN.
