I was in an accident July 31, we were pulled slightly off the road with our indicators on; my friend was on her learners and she was driving. One car passed us but then the next car didn't see us and we got hit from behind at 100km/h. It launched us into a ditch merely missing trees and a power pole. Thank goodness the worst injury was whiplash and a cut on the head which were my injuries. It would have been different if we weren't in a wagon..... the people who caused it didn't get hurt. :/
@elitemodelling I was in a bad car accident, I hit a tree doing about 60, my car looked like that almost and my airbags actually didn't deploy, I walked away from it with only whiplash, a bruise from where my phone (that i was not talking on or texting) hit me in the head, and a stiff left shoulder. What happened to you from that?
Exactly, a few towns over from where i live a 16 year old was driving a car with 4 friends in the car with him. This boy only had his learners permit, he ended up hitting a tree at 90-100mph. The driver and 3 of his friends died almost instantly, and the other is in critical condition. My guess would be they were not wearing seat belts, not that they would be of much help at that speed.
I'm find it very difficult to believe that you hit a tree at around 160kph and survived. The G forces created in that kind of impact would be fatal in any car. The human body simply cannot tollerate them.
@Bakaroosmazikazi Have you ever seen an accident first hand?... You'd be surprised what the human body CAN tolerate. Also, even if you don't believe it, he's obviously still living (we've got the video!). The Jeep hit a tree doing 90, the speedometer stuck, and this guy survived. He's one very lucky individual. So in conclusion... Jeep; 0, Tree; 0, Driver; WON
