@jokkergar I am a Michael Jackson Fan. From Bad onwards, I love his work. I also think that I'm Elvis. So, I don't compare them and just enjoy both of their music.
Hey hehwj if you think this is shit maybe you should have compared their bank accounts back then. I am a fan of Little Richard, B B King, Bo Didley and a bunch of other black singers. You want to complain about something complain about Only in America being taken away from the Drifters and given to Jay Black and the Americans because they thought the song was too powerful a message for blacks and when given to Jay Black they change some of the words to their liking. You want to be mad, be mad a
@eugenewallace691 It may well be that you are tired to hear that MJ was / is KING but he was and is KING! He has surpassed ALL singer! And by the way why the name you MJ if you think that Elvis is the best, it's ok han is the best for you. I like both kings in their own way ... I'm tired that people write the way you did ...
@eugenewallace691 Sorry but is the true, Michael is the King, has much better voice than elvis, was a REAL dancer, composer, etc. much more complete than Elvis on stage and backstage, is the reality.
@gfreedoms I don't really think the voice part is true and I guess that Elvis just had a little more passion when dancing, which is what makes him so irresistible. Passion's something Michael Jackson never really got, he just knew perfection. That's not as interesting. BUT Michael Jackson was a writer and composer and was successful with many songs he wrote himself. Elvis did not. You can't argue about that and have to give the credits to Michael for that one.
@delilahkathryn wrong. Not passion in MJ´s dance? in what planet you live? xD, in fact all about his dance is passion, he started dancing since he was a baby by himself from his heart and feeling just the music with all his passion, no body taught him, that was one of the things that make him so special he is he is able to convey feelings through dance from birth. Then when he grow up and started working like an artist he began taking classes and become professional.
@gfreedoms Go love Michael Jackson on different videos. It's opinion honey. I just don't see it. Just like you don't feel the beauty in the voice of Elvis. It's a world with free choices. So go along...
You said he copied black artist. You obviously do not get it.I get it because I am from the South as was Elvis.I understand the music known as the Blues as well as Rythem and Blues.I am very proud of my Southern brother.People around here simply do not give a shit for your oppinion.
Elvis just copied black artists and sold more records than they did. He seized every song recorded by black artists and yet earns respect by all media. Elvis must pay back every black artists he covered. In my opinion he was an opportunist.
@willpn100 Elvi was raised on black music. He was as poor as any black kid growing up.The music he played in those early days was what he loved and felt.He owes nobody anything. Now bow down to the King.
@Dougplays6strings How absurdly presumptuous of you to think that Elvis is superior to the others. I´ll never bow down to the dominance of private interests!
@willpn100 Elvis was raised on black music. He was as poor as any black kid growing up.The music he played in those early days was what he loved and felt.He doesn't owe anybody anything.

@magnolia604 The comparisons started after Michael appeared on the "MOTOWN 25" special. People started comparing Jackson's appearance to ELVIS' appearances on t.v. From there the comparisons got more ridiculous. Even Michael himself alluded to those comparisons in his book, "MOONWALKER". Both THE KING and The King of Pop were unique and insanely gifted which led to the comparisons. The Beatles were also compared to ELVIS.
This was a charity concert in Tupelo Elvis did to raise money for a youth centre. Elvis gave so much to the less fortunate, he was a true gentleman who cared less about material things, he gave so much to others.
if you really think about it elvis was great, like no one else did this back in the 50's. He's having fun back then like he did in his later years. R.I.P elvis
