@aronkari90 yeah like 140/hour that doesn't include all the paper work, pre flight checks, or time spent on duty, u may be on duty for 15 hours, but only get paid for 5 of those hours that were spent in flight, although captains working for major airlines may earn around 200k a year, its not enough for the difficult work that they do, and keep in mind they terrible pay for starting jobs until u make it to captain, that 15 years of pretty much poverty, unless ur lucky.
I like it, it's a great video but the question nags: has the camera mount just come loose, or was that an extremely violent landing in cross-wind conditions? Thanks!
@simfgta...regarding your question when the Commander/Captain of the a/c says ''my control'' or ''I have control'' it means what it says lol...the Captain then has control of the aircraft until the Captain says ''you have control'' and then the F/O or in my case student pilot will have control given back to him
One of the best videos i have seen to date.I take my hat off to the Captain for giving a detailed overview of the flight from take off to landing.I am a video producer and say to the production person or crew great camera work and overlays of the maps showing the flight path.Great video!!!
@VIP100RoyalProdz actually no they dont ALWAYS land if you watched the 2nd part the captain said that since it was a 3 leg flight the FO decided to take the 1st leg so that means on the last leg the captain will takeoff and land and on their way back the FO will have that leg and so on
@1053857 Actually dumb*ss,If the pilot requests to converse in English (note; not French,Spanish,Hindu,Chinese,Russian or Gaelic) then (international) ATC HAS to comply. If ATC cannot comply the pilot will be informed before take-off. I guess the instructions that came with your X-box dont go into that much detail, eh?
@burreaucracy yes all major airports in the world have them so that disoriented(don't know the way round the airport) pilots can find their allocated parking spot or gate
@alexflum Quote from the UK ATPL syllabus: "Any flight crew member occupying a pilot's seat shall keep the safety harness fastened during the takeoff and landing phases, unless the shoulder straps interfere with the performance of their duties, in which case the shoulder straps may be unfastened but the lap belt must remained fastened."
@alexflum A lot of guys do that, your a bit restricted with it on, especially when making turns on the ground. Its a lot easier to have a good look around with the shoulder straps off. He's still got the lap and negative G strap on, just pushed the switch to release the shoulders.
I noticed that on second 2:55 the Captain calls out 80KTS and then says my control and the he grabs the controls, why did the F/O just continue with the roll out and taxi the airfract?
very good is that a 757-2oo

The F/O is closing the throttles against the auto throttle and when he lets them go the go back up again!

look at the incredible work these men do, and for such small pay, i dream to be a pilot, but the salary for the work is quite discouraging

@AngioMane small pay? do you have any idea what an airline pilot earns?

Oh yes we do! Other than sterile, lots of chatting. Especially about the Flight Attendants. Shhhh!

10,000 feet and below must be a "sterile" cockpit environment..ALL communication
must only be about flying the aircraft

@SantolinGregory this is the first time i'm hearing of this, and i don't think a lotta pilots follow that rule

how do they understand what they are saying if atc is speaking spanish? Just Wondering.
MrPhipper 1 year ago
@MrPhipper English is the only language in ATC,unless your French ATC in a pay dispute....in which case its er, French.
OurnameisLegion66 1 year ago
@OurnameisLegion66 You are incorrect my stupid friend, there are 7 official ICAO languages.
That being said, even if the pilot and the ATC can speak the same language (other than one of the ICAO), then they are allowed to aswell.
Bye bye..

OurnameisLegion66 7 months ago
@OurnameisLegion66 I never said the contrary. But we were talking about both actors speaking the same language.
To say "English is the only language in ATC" is completely incorrect.
Not only you're stupid, but you don't know how to read and you have a moderate case of memory loss.
1053857 7 months ago
@OurnameisLegion66 hindu is a religion not a language if u said hindi i would of understood lol im sure it was just a mistake :)
