  • When will Americans learn that loud and bright isn't always the best sound signature for acoustics?

  • Having a warm, reverberant acoustic in American churches is a "good" thing! The problem with your insistence on removing all of the reverberation from a space is rather illogical at best. American churches tend to deaden their spaces to the point where music simply can't "breath". Take Boston Symphony Hall, one of the great spaces of the world where music and speech sound quite coherent.

  • @OrganNLou - Very good points all around, OrganNLou. Acoustical Solutions, however, never removes all of the reverberation from a room, especially one in which music will be played. This room's reverberation was reduced to a level at which speech reverberated far less, and music, which reverberates more because it is louder, was still able to ring.

  • These panels are great at absorbing the sound that bounces around within a room--If you need something that will block the sound I'd look for either a mass loaded vinyl barrier or a case of green glue. Either one of those would be pretty affective in blocking the noise so your neighbors don't hear it.
