Before I even heard of Vocaloid, I was obsessed K-ON. When I heard of Vocaloid, I thought, "Hatsune Miku! She reminds me of Yui! She's cute". But, whenever I see VocaloidXK-On fan art it's always Yui being Rin, Luka being Tsumugi, etc. But based on their characters in K-ON, Yui is childish and cute like Miku. Rin is tranquil and angel-like, so she's like Tsumugi. Luka is is serious and mature like Mio. But really? Why is Miku Mio? Because Mio is popular?

1) "RUka" and "LUka" are both only approximations of the Japanese pronunciation. The actual pronunciation is somewhere in between. "RU" is the standard way of writing that sound in western characters, but "LUKA" is how her name is actually written on the box! Both wrong!

2) Miku's item is a SPRING ONION. *NOT* LEEK. They're easy to confuse, but spring onion leaves are roughly parallel with the vegetable, leek leaves are not. This is a spring onion!

You should go by what the creator actually says instead of looking at the drawing. OF COURSE it won't look EXACTLY like a leek!
