By the way, I'm in Lafayette Indiana. And I knew it was a wolf as soon as I saw him.. He seemed lost and scared. One of the girls was scared when the wolf approached them while they were waiting to cross. Like if they wanted to run but at the same time couldn't.
I searched this video because I just saw a wolf as I was exiting my apartments, heading to work. It was snowy so I figured he probably got lost. He wanted to cross the street but seeing the cars, he jumped back to the side. 2 teen girls where a few 40-50 yds away waiting to cross street into the mall parking lot. Wolf saw them, approached and he followed them as they crossed. I went to work. Thinking if wolf ever got into parking lot in the mall. Kids? Toddlers? Idk
This is why wolves should not be kept as pets, hybrids or full blooded wolves. Very unfortunate such beautiful animals had to die to most likely human stupidity.

It's always annoying how DNR dismisses everything that's "not supposed to be here" as something else. I live in Southern Indiana and my neighbor had a bear, YES A BEAR enter his garage, he shot it and it ran. He reported it. Took pictures of blood on his garage floor and paw prints in the mud...DNR said it was nothing.
These are definately not wolves, since people wiped them out over 100 years ago in Indiana. Likely, people are to blame for this incident since cross breeding wolves with dogs creates a conflicting, increased aggressive traits (not in every hybrid, there are exceptions). It's no surprise that the smaller dog was attacked because wild wolves (not the ones in the video) dislike dogs and consider them competition in the same way they view coyotes as competition.

It's always annoying how DNR dismisses everything that's "not supposed to be here" as something else. I live in Southern Indiana and my neighbor had a bear, YES A BEAR enter his garage, he shot it and it ran. He reported it. Took pictures of blood on his garage floor and paw prints in the mud...DNR said it was nothing.

These are definately not wolves, since people wiped them out over 100 years ago in Indiana. Likely, people are to blame for this incident since cross breeding wolves with dogs creates a conflicting, increased aggressive traits (not in every hybrid, there are exceptions). It's no surprise that the smaller dog was attacked because wild wolves (not the ones in the video) dislike dogs and consider them competition in the same way they view coyotes as competition.

Why are there wolves in Indiana? The other video on youtube of the injured wolf that was hit by a car and jumped on someone was also in Indiana. They have a place in Indiana called Wolf Park that has wolves and bison in a fenced in area. I wonder if all these were wolves that escaped from that park? Its too bad they couldnt get anyone who could tranquilize and transport them.

And you can't tell me they don't do the same in other countries when it comes to wildlife threatening people....I've heard of farmers from all over the world shooting them for less, such as attack on their sheep or cattle. Wolves or wolf hybirds, are not hard to raise, best animal to have, they are loyal and very protective, i have a wolf, and yes full bloodied, he has never attacked anyone, but they will do anything to protect their pack and their pack is who ever you rasie them around and if they fill that there pack is in danger they will come to the rescue... I am from tn we have many wolf clans here and we all love our wolves, but you do have to rasie them with respect...
