Man I played FFXI for 6 years,(it really is a good game, a lot of people didn't give it a chance) and was obsessed with playing this game pre-launch, I ate up everything about it. I just finished playing FF6, and I am just repulsed by this trailer, back then I would have bounced of the walls for it. I have no idea what I'm saying, but I'm posting it anyway, because I can!

Not free, the best analogy between FFXI and WoW is FFXI is the game you go to for storyline and challenge, and WoW is where you go for easiness and doing nothing. It's not free, again. Beautiful graphics on a good PC with the proper tweaks, I've been playing for 6 years.

I'm biased on best 5 mmorpgs, so, FFXI, LOTRO, WOW, are the only ones I've personally tried.

I don't think SquareSoft would have ruined it. Judging by this video I'd say they had some pretty good ideas. ENIX is what fucked it up =/ DragonQuest has always sucked and now they've brought that suck to the FF series ; ;

messed up? dude FFXI is the 4th most played mmorpg in the whole world. its not messed up its just special. not like the others. but its prooven that it works. Maybe not as popular as WoW cause most ppl looking for some easy-peasy-hit-up-other-ppl-ga­me. But still it has all 550k games. whats messed up about that? All ppl i know who played XI AND WoW (i know quite some)quit Wow in the end cause XI rocks more. All we need is more publicity. Good progress: since Oct 2007 there are more EU games otw
