Are double flared plugs fairly easy to get in once your ears are completely healed? Cuz the plugs I have aren't going in too smoothly and I stretched 3 days ago.
@imGlydeh It depends really. I stretched my ears from an 18 straight to a 14. I have very durable ears though. What I did was, washed my hands with soap and water, then cleaned my ears with cleaning alcohol, then rubbed water on my ear lobes for about two minutes, ran my tapers in water also then put them half way in my ear very slowly. Then I showered while they were half way through and then when I got out, put it the rest of the way through. It made it a lot less painful and they're fine. :3

@tigerwithinyou45 Don't wash them with soap. Soap tends to dry around it and leave it irritated. Unless you use facial soap which is usually very smooth and clean and soft. I would suggest just showering in the mornings and then cleansing them at night before bed with alcohol. OR JUST rub alcohol on your ears. If you let your tapers sit in alcohol and you put them in your ear, it could irritate the inside. Rubbing alcohol on the outside of your ears if the best way to go.

i waited at least a month between each size and im at and 15/16 (24mm i think) i use vitamin e oil just about everytime i put my plugs in. my ears are almost an inch and theyre still perfect healthy thick circles, no wrinkles, no pinky red color, no sag,just skin. im 17 and my parents didnt let me go past 0g but i kept stretching to where i am now and 00 silicon tunnels (what i wear around parents) still fit. thats how elastic and healthy my ears are. they go down to 00 when i take them out :)

When you size up it's not supposed to hurt. No more skipping sizes, stretching is supposed to be a slow process, patience is a virtue! [:
my ears after 00g it was easier and i could get to the other size faster i went from 716 to 1/2 than 5/8 in about a month and i didnt got a blow out or anythin and it went really nice you know when you ear is healh if is not red/purpel/black and it doesnt hurt everythin is fine

@memorywillrust a 0 is the defined size of "point of no return" but i've had plenty of buddies that go to 00 or 3/8 (which isn't an American size but it's between 00 and 7/16) and they have all healed up. but that's about the breaking point. if you hit 7/16 its highly doubtful they will fully heal

@DazedNConfused97 you use bondage tape. otherwise called athletic tape. you wrap layers around an earring you have in. say 1 wrap a day. after 10-15 days or whatever you've thoroughly sized your jewelry and instead of jamming a giant taper in your ear you size up just by the thickness of the tape each day. its the best way to get to the next size (slow and steady wins the race) much healthier and will do your ears well!! you can buy it at wal-mart, walgreens any place like that

I started stretching my ears today after about of week of research. I found your video very helpful but I would not skip the first couple of sizes. I got my ears pierced with a gun in 1988 and I managed to get a 12 gauge in but not without resistance, i took my time and did get them in and now there is no pain or swelling so I was lucky but really it is best to start as close to your orginial size as possible

You're not supose to skip size's, depending on how big your ear lobe is, it could damage your ear lobe.

I want to get a second piercing in my ear, the one i have is currently being stretched to 5mm and i plan to go to 10mm.
my question is do i have to wait until my ear is fully stretched before i get my second piercing?

@JizzNiblets alright so i have a 18 gauge diamond in my ear right now, if i buy lets say a 16 or 14 gauge taper, a plug and vitamin e oil, and wash ears etc daily, i should be fine?

@memorywillrust a 0 is the defined size of "point of no return" but i've had plenty of buddies that go to 00 or 3/8 (which isn't an American size but it's between 00 and 7/16) and they have all healed up. but that's about the breaking point. if you hit 7/16 its highly doubtful they will fully heal

hey lauren, how do i keep my earlobes nice and thick? I'm only planning on going up to 0g or 00g. IDK maybe less, i have little filipino lobes so we'll see which size looks best on my ears and i'll prolly stop there. But yeah, how do i keep em nice and thick like?

If pinchers and tapers are so bad for your ears what are you supposed to use? And where can you get them?? This is all sooo confusing...

@DazedNConfused97 you use bondage tape. otherwise called athletic tape. you wrap layers around an earring you have in. say 1 wrap a day. after 10-15 days or whatever you've thoroughly sized your jewelry and instead of jamming a giant taper in your ear you size up just by the thickness of the tape each day. its the best way to get to the next size (slow and steady wins the race) much healthier and will do your ears well!! you can buy it at wal-mart, walgreens any place like that

Omg! No! Never skip gauges!!! I started at 16 then went to 14, and the stupid skank at Culture Craze sold me a 10g by mistake and I had a killer blow out that took like 3 weeks to heal!!! I haven't skipped a size since! Skipping is bad and can cause major scaring in the long run. = )

I pierced my ears about 3 months ago, within a week I was at 00, no tears or blowouts, I kept the 00 for about 3 weeks and I bought some 7/16 and they were too small so I went back that day and bought some silicone 1/2's. I kept those for about 2 weeks, and I learned with silicone that if you put things in them, you can stretch, so I started out with moving up to 9/16 but those fell out so I moved to 5/8, I kept those for a couple of days and they started falling out so I moved to 11/16 , had t

Pinchers are horrible to stretch with. It isn't gradual enough, and could lead to blowout. There are tapers for small sizes

i started streaching about a mounth ago, and when i put my small one in i only left it 2 days then went up 2 sizes, it ripped and i had to wait 2 mounth for all the skin to heal back then get the ear peirced again :/

I started stretching my ears today after about of week of research. I found your video very helpful but I would not skip the first couple of sizes. I got my ears pierced with a gun in 1988 and I managed to get a 12 gauge in but not without resistance, i took my time and did get them in and now there is no pain or swelling so I was lucky but really it is best to start as close to your orginial size as possible
