@djmark7 Even though this came out in 85, and hair metal died in 91? Knowledge is a good thing to have before making assumptions. Record companies and Seattle killed hair metal, and I should know, I'm from Seattle.
@PerfectStranger776 record compainies in seattle didn't kill hair metal, first off, most hair bands came from LA, and second the record compaines didn't kill hair metal, the artists did, record companies aren't stupid, all their doing is trying to make as much money as possible, the main reason hair metal died is because there were so many hair bands and the people at the time wanted something different. Don't get me wrong, im not saying that record companies are 100% innocent.
I agree with all of the comments against the music of today but sadly comments on youtube can't change that, But i have a plan! We all need to form 80's rock bands and shoot the music videos with old cameras then teach your kids about the greatness that is classic rock and convince them to form their own bands! that will teach those bastards of today!
This is the life we lived, the memories we created, we cruised in muscle cars that sounded as good as the music comming out of the 6x9s. We had style. God how time has flown.
Nitroass...to go along with what you said...a band doesn't have to create a new sound to be good at what they do. They were a good band in their genre, and it's great to pump your fist/shake your head to their music!
definitely remember these guys. were firmly part of the "landscape" of mid-late 80's hard rock scene. not my favorite band by any means, but..they fit in with many others of that era. miss it bad. anyway, my opinion? Finest girl in the video @: 0:22 good lord! love her "Professional Look with that Chauffeur hat. yummy! again at 2:38 and 4:10. didn't show her "nearly" enough. other chicks were ok i guess. couple shots made a few of them look like "Dudes"! scary. I'll take 0:22
damn, loved the 80's. it's my era in fact, as i was in a hard rock band then called "Northrup" doin a lot of showcasing all around Nor. Cal and L.A. Bay area, all that........but i gotta say, i can't click on any friggin' 80's vid anymore where......one of the dudes is dead. bums' me out. shit, in a short 25 or so years, life sure changes. a lot can happen. luckily at this point, at 50, i'm still here. which one was Steve Isham. singer? R.I.P nonetheless.
@drumdude46 Thanks for the RIP....Steve Isham was my Uncle. He is the keyboard player and actually wrote Turn Up The Radio. It was 2 years ago on December 16th he passed away. What a sad day but I know he is still here in spirit and in heaven playing the piano for everyone.
Hair, make-up, earrings, this was all part of the heavy/pop metal/rock show. This was just the style in the 80's for Metal/Rock Music. No one looked at it as strange as this was just what was in for the day. Music and style changes with the passing of time like everything else. Glad I grew up in the 80's.

God i wish i was alive in the 80's. The music back then kickass the music now sucks and most of it you cant even understand what they are saying!!!!!!
@madometal Just to let you know they are not related. Steve is my guitar teacher and i asked them if they were at all. Steve said as a joke "Were Divorced" I thought they were until he told me.
The 80's were the Last decade that Kids actually listened to Rock in their Cars and Looked and Dressed the part. Not like today where all kids Listen to Nothing but that Rap and Hip- Hop Crap. I'd take the 80's anyday.
Funny, I remember LOVING this video back in the day, but I could have sworn it was a Y&T song. Oh well, I guess the memory is always the first to go. This song always made me think of the scene in Fast Times at Ridgemont High with Nancy Wilson in the black Vette. Hot!
This is great guitar work! if you wan't call it that; but this whole band knows how to put it down. When i think 80's, there's a number of awesome groups that come to mind. Autograph is definitely one of them!!
Used to listen to this song every Fri/Sat night before going out cruising. Now mind you I had the video recorded on VHS !!!!!! Thanks for the memories !!!
I don't care if they do sound like Van Halen/Def Leppard spawn.Autograph are a good band and deserve more credit than just that band who sings Turn Up The Radio.
@nitroass23B yeah I agree. Ironically Van Halen and Def Leppard are my favorite bands lol and I don't think they sound like either of them lol. Autograph had their fame but I wish they went farther.

This guitar solo kicks all kinds of ass..., todays music doesn't shread like this, and it doesn't Rock either.....20 plus years and the 80's Still Rule...
hell yeah Steve Lynch shredding is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G just can't compare to today's so called guitar players and besides his guitar playing he one hella of one awesome sweet friend of mind and autograph does deserve so much credit their honestly underrated sucks horribly:-/ at least unlike many one hit wonder bands most of these guys have done alot within the music industry.

This is one of the worst music videos I have ever seen. These guys are terrible. They are singing about blondes in black cars? The video lends to that maybe they are singing about blonde girls. Ha! Let's face it they are singing about blonde boys in cars. These guys are soooo Gay!
@alisimon5 Yeah, it really sucks! All my schoolmates listen to that computer generated shit. Today, rappers are old school, although they were only played in the sandpit when great music was playing in those '80s. If rap is old school, this glam kind of great music (don't think I love rap) is ancient, and it's a fucking bad sign for all normal-taste people, for us! SAVE GOOD MUSIC, START PLAYIN' AGAIN!
Well, I would argue that image has had a lot to do with it ever since Elvis. Just a different image, and one I wish I'd been around for! I was born ten years too late--now all those guys have cut their beautiful hair...bogus.
Same here. It's not rock n' roll anymore, it's more like whining about girlfriends and being depressed for no good reason. I don't know what's so awesome about that.
like mickey rourke said in the wrestler regarding 80s metal 'we were just trying to have a good time then that pussy kurt cobain came along and ruined everything...'

fatdudley,
Ummm...Not really. These silly jerkoffs have nobody to blame but themselves. How did they ever expect people to take them seriously? What a bunch of goofballs.
I agree. I was a metal head back in the day. There wasn't a metal band from the 80's that I have not seen live. I had long hair, the fringed leather jacket. Then in 1989 I went to college. I was expanding my mind, I wasn't a 13 year old kid anymore that just wants listen to songs only about chicks, partying, and dragons. This is music specifically geared toward teenage high school boys. Hell, even teenage high school boys these days think this stuff is ridiculous.
@tommylee2719 my pleasure =) im really not into rock music at all, or todays 'rock' music but theres just something incredible about motley crue, autograph, twisted sister etc..
@fatdudley man! if you like the hair bands which I do as well you should check out my cover band L.A. ROXX! We cover all those bands dude! We are a national act too! It's fuckn awesome, we have lights, lasers, fog machines! Check it dude! We are trying to bring it back

Well, I would argue that image has had a lot to do with it ever since Elvis. Just a different image, and one I wish I'd been around for! I was born ten years too late--now all those guys have cut their beautiful hair...bogus.

This is what I miss about the 80's music. It was all about having a good time. Today its all about image.
