besides the amazing quality, another reason im getting this is because of the lens hood. it looks just like a real hd camcorder like a canon xh-a1!

what to buy GZ-HD6 or GZ-HD7 i dont care about 120 GB hard drive i heard HD7 video is jittery by JVC then selfs and cant be voided or fixed but HD6 is new for 2008 and theres NO issues bad about HD6 i love the look HD7 with the focus ring and i know its got iLink firewire better then over all USB drag drop files awseome please help i just sent bk J&R canon HG10 i hated it

For the money this is a very good HD camcorder. For best results and getting the most out of this little camera is to put it on a tripod and use the manual settings.  Transferring video to your computer is quick and easy with the USB cable. Wish it had a headphone jack, but the mic in and dual viewfinder is a huge plus.

I own GZ-HD7 and if you know your craft it is absolutely best cam on the market for low price. The image quality is WAY BETTER than any Canon or Sony under $2000.

really like to see the number of stills remaining on a 8gig clip. my settings currently give me over 9000 shots. At 640x480 would probally be more like 15,000
