  • The FSM approves of MSF.

  • then where are the billions of Dollars that America claims to have dontated!!! all lies!

  • Great video.

Docs really taking chances in dangerous places!

    Real dedication.

  • So dprjones why you do not donate for Red Cross, it is because you're an atheist bigot?

Why Medecins Sans Frontieres? an not Red Cross?

The Red Cross have approximately 97 million volunteers worldwide! but probably very little atheists.

  • so its a 24 hour show, on september the 18th.

Just checking @dprjones , are you aware that september the 19th is talk like a pirate day?

  • I mirrored the video and added Spanish subtitles in hopes to reach a wider public, if anyone is at all interested in the subtitle file, PM me

  • I tried doing a fund raiser almost a year ago and I found a site that ranked charities by how much of the donations go to administration vs actually helping. MSF ranks near the top for actually using the money and not pocketing it. They're a great charity. If you have the money this is a great cause to donate to. MSF help with basically every major disaster around the world and do amazing work.

  • @AnAverageSkeptic

And all the doctors are non-paid volunteers.

Saves a TON of money right there

  • This is a great cause! Besides mirroring the video on my channel, I also added it and the description text to my blog, asking people to take part. I hope you do reach the target for this year.

  • Best cause on the net.

  • You know the more we help other people with medical care the more we over populate the world. So the more we save these people the more we are getting closer to killing every single human being on the planet. I'm not trying to be racist by saying that only these people should be the ones that suffer it just that if we help them get to our level of medical care our population levels will increase a lot making us closer to the max population making us all die of starvation.

  • @addsering I think something gets missed quite often about aiding the 3rd world. Most of the countries in question are SO screwed, BECAUSE of the 1st world. Our way of life funds the conflicts and tragedies over their. That's why we should be helping them. Population control is a real issue we have to deal with, but it doesn't excuse the 1st world from making some amends for it's rape of the third world.

  • @addsering ........starvation huh? Go to your local elementary school and see how much cafeteria food is thrown away daily....

  • @haloboz That is on thing that will lead up to the mass starvation we are eating and wasting to much food that eventualy we won't be able to keep up with the food demands and have havested to much of the plants and animals that they will not have been able to reproduce so that it will die out and we won't be able to havest that anymore

  • @addsering That has to be one of the most ignorant claims I've ever heard in my lifetime. Every human life is valuable and deserves a chance, no human being should be considered a statistic or a liability.

  • @addsering Hey moron, maybe you should do some research into overpopulation before running your mouth and making yourself look like an idiot. The sickest nations in the world are also those with the fastest growth rates. Providing developing nations with medical care is one of the best solutions to overpopulation, in part because it gives people access to family planning facilities and education.

  • Question: Do they work with the redcross at all?

  • DPR, you did a magnificent job on the first event. I'm sure you'll do even better on this one. I'm with you all the way.

  • Wow - I just noticed this.

I'm very pleased that MSF is again the beneficiary.

It's just a bit of a shame that DPR is again the presenter. DPR, wear a mask this time. Watching you age by a day is a bit gruelling.

  • The last event was awesome and raised A LOT of money in a VERY short time. Donation links are already open and I see donations are already trickling in.

Don't forget to post this video on your social networking sites as the event draws closer. $75K!!!

  • These people are among the most selfless, giving, and humanitarian individuals on earth. They uphold and highlight humanity's best instincts.

I too am puzzled by the 13 "thumbs down" votes. Who could possible criticize such good deeds?

  • Good stuff, good luck!

  • thumbs up for a tattoo of me on DPR's ass! $75k people...let's do it.

  • @C0ct0pusPrime

I'll put up $15 for that.

  • I love this charity and what it does, Mirror, done and dusted.

  • This is an incredible organisation.

I applaud everyone who has anything to do with it, either in its organisation or simple donations.

    You are all heroes.

  • I'm really glad you are doing this event again! It's a fantastic cause. Feel free to contact me if you need help in anyway. :)

  • 13 dislikes? WTF is wrong with these people? :'(

  • @M4ruta

    theres always some

  • @M4ruta i noticed that. Some might be miss-clicks but unfortunately, most are probably from very confused individuals. :(

  • @M4ruta one of those was from me. i had a few beers in me & clicked thumbs down on accident.

i came back and rated it up a few times afterwards though.

    whoops! =-o my bad DPR...

  • @M4ruta They're petty theists who can't support a legit cause.

  • A great cause

  • Mirrored

  • @Parapon3ra there are several reasons. MSF is one of the most recognized and reputable charities out there. You get more donations when people believe, as they do with MSF, that the money is going to the people who need it. In addition MSF reaches places and people no one else does. SENS is a foundation primarily concerned with problems that affect the 1st world. Worthy goals, to be sure, but MSF targets the most destitute and abandoned, whose plight is, for my money, more urgent.

  • @LynxChan 'MSF is one of the most recognized and reputable charities out there.' Indeed! It's a large, well known, well funded organization that employs thousands of people. By adding a few more K's to its >$400,000,000 annual budget you won't be making a huge difference. SENS, otoh, only has a tiny fraction of this budget and isn't particularly well known, yet its research could potentially benefit all of mankind, not just certain people in certain regions.

  • @Parapon3ra Just a suggestion. Organize an awareness campaign and get people raising funds for SENS, otoh. Just seems a better way to fight for what you care about then just contrasting them to MSF.

  • @LynxChan (continued). Aging isn't just a '1st world' problem; it destroys life *everywhere*. It's all fine & dandy to try to feed the 3rd world poor and provide them with basic medical care, but it won't really save them. It will just postpone their deaths a bit. If we really want to 'heal the world' we need *fundamental* solutions and mentality shifts. Defeating aging is about much more than just the process of aging itself; it's about taking charge of our evolution, and becoming as gods.

  • Are you going to run an Ebay auction again? 'Cause I'd like to donate something

  • Good luck in all your efforts, Lord Jones!

I may put my coins into auction this year, who knows... :-)

  • very nice initiative once again, highly commendable...

  • who the hell would dislike this vid. some great work happening here

  • Awesome.

  • DPR is really putting his skin in the game.

    A "c0ct0pus" tattoo if $75,000 is reached.

Make sure to video and post that for sure.

  • And to think we did that to spite VenomfangX and his embezzlement.

  • I know that it is important to say "YouTube Community" because you don't want to exclude or turn away anyone from donating to this wonderful cause, but this is the type of action of the atheist community that should be pointed out. I'm sure that not everyone who donated was an atheist, but I'm also sure that everyone who donates to Christian charities is not Christian, nonetheless Christian's receive all of that political pull and clout in society that comes with having "Christian" attached...

  • ... to the charities title. These are the types of events that sway 'the people' in favor of different special interest groups, and these are the types of activities that people do not see atheists for.

Nonetheless wonderful event, I will definitely try to attend, and will most definitely donate again.

    Bests,

    james

  • I'll donate $500.

  • That mobile hospital was sick! Let's get them another one!

  • @Mequellios That's just an example. During the show last year they listed examples of all kinds of things like equipment and medication that could be bought with the money. Hopefully the MSF guy will talk about it on this years show.

  • @DooMDrat Oh yeah, I know. The context of my statement was excitement. I went to last year's event, and I plan to attend this year's hopefully. I'll also be donating more this year.

  • I would donate if I could...

  • @MusicHypno you can still help. Mirror the video, put it on facebook and help get the world out. If you can't donate maybe you know someone who can

  • Last year I made a shitty disorganized ebay page to help out, this year I hope to get my shit together.

I also have a peter popoff slipper that dpr personally autographed, maybe I should put that up to this year.

  • If we raise $75,000, dpr will tattoo c0ct0pus on his ass! Let's GIVE, GIVE, GIVE!

  • @kirke420 He should get "C0ct0pus was here" on his ass XD.

  • I can get the entire cast of Seinfeld and the ghost of Michael Jackson to cohost your blogtv, and its totally legit.

  • i will only go if the fake hayden is there

  • @katiegirl5786

If the hayden was really fake, then she sure did her research really well.

  • @SakuraElyse guess you missed dpr's post show apology about it

  • last yrs show went over amazingly. I hope this yrs tops last

  • Having sad string orchestra music in your charity ad is just not on. I'm sorry, I deeply admire MSF, it is one of the most noble charities there is, but that is the epitome of manipulation.

  • As far as I recall MSF are far from being politically neutral. I destinctly remember that organisation having said some pretty terrible things.

  • NephilimFree : Stupid geocentrist

NephillmFree : Complete piece of shit pretending to be the geocentrist

illm and ilim is the difference. Just in case anyone doesn't notice.

  • @NephillmFree That's not the real Neph, even those creationists have some morals.

  • @NephillmFree

Do you expect to fool anyone into thinking that you're the actual Nephy? I mean, I don't like the guy, but making racist comments disguised as him is plain dishonest. Go troll elsewhere.

  • @NephillmFree Woaw! Settle the fuck down, bigot.

  • Seriously? There's 3 people who didn't like this video? What the fuck is wrong with those 3?

  • @Kubillus

It's their right to 'dislike' a video. I thought you were for free speech?

The top rule on the internet is to never give out your personal information ie. Credit Card number, paypal number, etc.

  • @TruthfulChristian2 Never said they didn't have the right, I just don't get why you dislike the video, considering MSF is trying to help people that can't help themselves. I'm sure you would agree that Jesus would support the actions of MSF more than he would disagree with it, right?

  • @TruthfulChristian2

    I genuinely hate u.

  • @TruthfulChristian2 keep trolling buddy. we're onto you

  • @TruthfulChristian2 It's nontheless fuckin' stupid in this kind of context.

  • @TruthfulChristian2 how very Christ like of you, yea people can dislike this vid, but y ? people can also preach in favor of pedophilia still dont make it right (ok thats an extreme but u get my point). what happened to the charity of Christ??? and as far giving out credit card no. ext........ whats your point never brought anything online??

u could be right though maybe the whole things is fake and its just those immoral atheists after you cash.. really get a grip

  • @TruthfulChristian2

Its a shame TC, I had high hope for you to be an actual honest youtube christian but you are shaping up to be one of those hateful ignorant trolls.

Sad because you could have contributed positively to the dialog, but instead you choose to behave like a petulant spoiled child

Just do yourself a favor and go away while the adults are talking. Come back when you are ready to live up to your name.

  • MIrrored.

This is the only organization that I have gone to give money to and because they had sufficient funds at the time, they declined the donation at that time. I have never, ever, ever encountered that before out of any donation based organization. I am limited as to who I donate to because I won't donate to any organization that uses most of OUR money for their own organizational expenses and not where you intend it to be spent.

  • Was too lame last year to get something like paypal to make a donation (dont have a creditcard), just made an account, have to wait 2-3 days to verify bank data but expect a donation!

  • Mirrored!

  • the metal shelter you were in is a faraday cage, it was probably the safest place you could have been.

  • If I had the means to donate I would. But being unemployed. 17. And having no elcetronic way to pay for things. I can't. Not to mention that I have less than $1 to my name.

  • @JohnKimberland hey you have all summer to plan. Join a funrun, babysit, sell something, you are young and able, please reconsider. I'm an invalid and quite happy to give up some little luxury and money to help people with less than myself. I promise you it'll lift your spirits.

  • I wonder if Fakeden Panettiere will show up again :)

  • *GASP* I wanna come and play this year too!!!

  • I donate to 2 organizations. One is MSF and the other is WWF.

It isn't much, but to me, they are among the most important.

And the best part , they are 100% secular.

  • So far, I see two dislikes for this video. What the fuck, eh?

  • Im reposting this...

  • @sulthus

    for being a good thing?

  • who disliked this seriously ..

  • @tronulu

Maybe they don't like French people?

    ZING!

  • I just donated 50$

  • Sweet, here we go again!

  • Definitely going to donate more this year then last year and I hope it'll be an even greater event. It's for a great cause.

  • @Xerotaerg You are absolutely right. You know what? Why don't we just nuke them all, they're going to die anyway. CUNT.

  • @Xerotaerg What ignorance. Do you really think that all African women have large families? Or that by saving a child, you'll just make things absolutely worse?

  • Seriously, someone disliked this video?

Here's to efforts to double the contributions this year! It's a lofty goal, but if we don't make loftier goals for great charities, then we aren't working hard enough.

  • has it been a whole year already

  • I'll give over £5 right now and if I have more cash going into my account I'll stick in annother £5 as I'm currently poor.

  • hey DPR are you gonna give a fucking start time this go around?

on the last blogtv you did i missed the first hour or so cuz you didn't give a start time you jerk!

    : /

  • Hey DPR, have you been getting my PMs?

  • I have a feeling this year is going to be even more epic!

  • fourth!Give money to this great

  • @JoeGonePro yeah I am asking myself the same thing. I thought I had unsubbed a long time ago.

  • @JoeGonePro

This is what dpr did last year for MSF. So a youtuber decides to help a humanitarian aid society, and that's something to unsubscribe for?

  • @JoeGonePro Retard

  • Awesome DPR, keep this going!

  • not first!
