Lord made Deep Purple. And I'm not particularly into indulgent soloing from anyone - if you need to show off, make it seamlessly fit into the song in relatively short blasts and then get back to those monster riffs.

I know he used it till Deep Purple in Rock and after that he uses the strat. But about the gibson I heared a different story. I heared it was stolen by his first wive, and he especially liked the neck of the gibson but he said the stratocaster was harder to work on but had more bite (strat has a fat neck and solid sounds more sustained)

I can accept that people have other favourite guitarists than Blackmore(but I dont get why;P), but when people say he is nowhere near Page's, Clapton's (and so on) level, I want to shoot them! To be musically serious, no one could even touch Blackmore in guitar playing from 1969-1977!
