I agree...they were both way out of pitch. It could have been a problem simply hearing each other and the band. Playing in huge stadiums like that, with that kind of crowd, is impossible when you simply can't hear the band or even yourself singing.

Since it's not exactly a new thing for either of them in front of a crowd like that...I blame the "sound guy"...hehe

It did take balls for her to sing in that key (and with Sting). I just think it was a pour decision made by some production manager. Also, there are some songs that should just be left untouched.

I'm a musician - trust me when I tell you... playing a stadium is VERY LOUD. You're trying to HEAR the counter melody then sing TO it... it's NOT easy. Plus, you've got to have stage presence and they've probably rehearsed this only two or three times. One thing I DO agree with, though, is that Gwen is part of the I.B.T.C. - the Itty Bitty T1tty Commitie. Obviously Gavin prefers thighs over chests.

Yes Gwen didn't sound very good. Two things..Gwen was having a bad voice day. If you listen to "just a girl" she sang earlier at this superbowl..it didn't sound very good either..which normal she sings great live.
