this is one of the few productions of the magic flute that kind of visually matches what's in my head when i hear it. :) damrau's costumes are especially hilarious, especially her headgear.

If you're gonna pantomime the pan flute at least try to, you know, blow across. : /
Well, it's better than the production I saw. We were fortunate enough to have a Papageno who could play the pan flute. However... the instrument was about a whole step flat. It was bad.

Umm..I don't think it is. Alexander, Frederic and Nicolas performed in 2005, but this one was in 2006, so I think the three boys here should be Alexander K, Frederic and Andreas :-)
