  • I think the idea of the commercial is to have more of an emotional effect on the audience, i.e. (father son, im proud of you..) to persuade a consumer to buy the product...Advertising is not just about showing the product like it used to be. Think of the Corona beer commercials, not a word is said and there is a pretty good overall statement.

  • hahahahah yo this is fuking hysterical

  • Dang!!! I need a job, maybe I should try some of this stuff?! Oh wait, I'm not a man. LOL!! I wonder if it would still work for me? ;)

  • @bradmiska Soo the kid is speaking at his HIGH SCHOOL graduation. It says so on the banner. He hasn't gone to college yet. Also it never says he got the job...you studied marketing and you can't follow a 30 second commercial?

  • @Kmazta You make a good point which speaks to the commercial's real problem: it doesn't exactly make sense. It isn't clear at all that this guy's life was improved by coloring his hair.

  • @Kmazta I mean, you have a kid graduating high school and a guy coloring his hair. The commercial doesn't really make the connection in my opinion. What do these events have in common?

  • Ok these commercials are goofy (on purpose) but this is horrendous

  • just for men commercials are not to be taken seriously , have you seen the milk one...?

  • What the hell?

  • lol

  • You went to school for marketing and dont realize that its a genius commercial?

It just got 35K more views for being awesome

  • Actually considering how stupid the people are running (or ruining) American business these days having dyed hair probably IS the way to get ahead. We're all doomed.

  • I have some gray in my beard and thought about using the stuff- but I'd be embarrassed if someone thought I was influenced by something dumb like this lol.

  • If you had to come up with an advertising concept for mens grey hair removal how would you do it? Adding to the challenge is the stigma attached to a generally female procedure. (at the time)

You would focus on several proven concepts - woman and money and self confidence - and how removing your grey will lead to an increase in all. This advert follows the money and confidence theme. It takes a bizarre and cheesy route but I think it gets the message to its target market.

  • shit, maybe if i die my hair ill get a better job!

  • Jeez, this is so cheesy you could grate it on top of your pizza.

Had my laugh for the day though. Thanks!

  • LMFAO.

  • the mom is hella hot mmmm

  • Sucha steriotypical american advert hahaha

  • Grandpas can still have a feakin' interview :/ silly advert

  • i agree that is really a DUMB commercial!

  • Hey! Thats the kid giving out handies behind the walmart in my town! Must be a short term hair dye!

  • Thanks for the insight and pointing out the fact that this commercial makes no sense. You are a gifted person and your marketing courses have served you very well. Are there any other things you can point out or is it just marketing based? I'm also glad to see that you've gotten 28,919 views. Good job!

  • This is a great commercial.

  • is Just For Men only for old people or can you use it for just a regular hair color change?

  • I'll get some right now , and do porn LOL

  • "whoa! didn't expect my retarded son to get into college! better get a job."

  • lolololol the Just for Men ads in the uk are JUST AS ABSURD hahahaha it cracks me up and makes me die inside simultaneously

  • My dad taught me, if I dye my hair anything is possible

  • lmfao. at least higher someone in this economy that knows how to advertise

  • How about Just For Men Gel? Emmitt Smith, with the most rushing yards in NFL history, dyes his beard. He then gains the virility and strength to courageously outrun a group of cheerleaders to score!! Score what? For whose team? Against cheerleaders! I'm gonna get some Axe, steal everyone's woman, dye my hair, whiten my teeth, increase bloodflow in a certain area, and RULE THE WORLD! (while flying, I'm gettin some Red Bull)

  • That's fairly silly but it's a long way from being the most ridiculous commercial I've ever seen.

  • There is something deeply warped and disturbed about the message of this ad, which is that you should completeley capitulate to whatever ageist prejudice may be present in society! It's like having grey hair as a middle-aged man is somehow not natural, and is shaming and disgraceful or something! What next - an ad where a black father has to buy skin bleach to get his son into college!

  • Blacks already go to college (and Puerto Ricans too)

  • The commercial means that when you go to a job interview you wanna look job and just for men makes you look good. That's why they got the job and could afford college

  • @jkljprsde You wanna Lok Job ?

  • Thanks dad you did Great job raising me. Mom I just wanted say Fuck you for ruining most of my childhood. *Why doesn't the mom get praised?*

  • Hahahahahahaha! :D I like/hate the one where the little girls go up to their grey dad and say "Dad, it's time" before presenting him with the hair dye.

  • LMFAO!! When I dye my hair, people call me a faggot..

  • 0:23 the nod of a champion

  • This is basically EVERY commercial & television show that is aimed at women. You are nothing if you are not (conventionally) attractive!! Welcome to our extremely shallow world!!

  • hhhahahahahhahahha fucking america these days!!!

  • Just For Men: Because if you dye your hair, people may not realize what an epic douchebag you are.

  • I think they intentionally make these commercials ridiculous to appeal to the superficial people who will buy the product. The truth is most men will eventually lose some if not most of their hair. Far more traumatic than some grey hair.

  • don't be hatin' * its the same marketing team that brought us keith and clyde "NO PLAY FOR MR. GREY!!"

    BEST COMMERCIAL EVER!! :)

  • This ad is so bad, it's good. The cool ads are the ones you have to be careful of.

Think of the amount of crap this fag is going to promote over his lifetime.

  • LOL!!! LMAO!!! I had forgotten about this one, blocked it out... hehe, hilarious!!!

  • question for bradmiska. what do you do in marketing, cause i like commercials and im not sure what job i should get if i like commercials

  • It was created in house at Just for Men.

I think fumes went to their heads. Suprised Advertising Regulations aren't onto them like fly to dog shit.

  • People are so superficial that it wouldn't surprise me at all if somebody who was more qualified for a job did not get it because his hair was gray. It happens all the time, I'm sure. Sadly, this commercial is very in tune with reality. I really like Just For Men commercials they show men in a positive light, such as trying to pay for college, instead of taking the easy route, and just showing some old guy trying to get laid by a younger woman.

  • Whoa you look like...... what ever people already said it

  • In the UK here we have advertisements running for Lynx deodorant, a campaign clearly aimed at sexually desperate young men. The ads suggest that if you use Lynx, you will be irresistable to women. Same stupid principle.

  • in the usa, we call that Axe.

  • Use 'Just For Men' and look an idiot. It looks totally fake.

  • The only thing ridiculous thing about this video is the fact that you pointed a video camera at the television screen instead of taking the time to actually capture the commercial and do some simple editing.

  • What's that poor asshole doing buying rich people luxuries? He's got a kid to feed! Get out to the jobsite and trabajo, you poor piece of crap!

  • The only thing that is ridiculous is that a white family has a son at a high school named "Eastside High." The Eastside never has whites in it...they all fled to the suburbs years ago!

  • @Mike94SHO : so any city in the USA that has an east side does not have whites in it? LOL

  • I never studied marketing and recognized this was a stupid commercial, in fact, all marketing departments are lame as hell!

  • Am I the dumbest-ass person on the planet, because I see no connection at all between dyeing your hair and putting your kid through college. Unless maybe Dad started dyeing his hair and whoring himself out for a bit of extra money, which would like totally make sense.

  • does anyone have a link to the actual commersial vid??

  • HOMOSEXUAL NOSTALGIA CRITIC?

  • it's not really that stupid a concept if you think about it at. isn't the point of advertising selling not just the product but an ideal, a lifestyle? why would they even advertise perfume otherwise?

the ad is saying that by dying his hair he's refusing to admit that he's old and therefore useless: that if you dye your hair you're renewed, refreshed and ready for exaggerated results.

surely you learn this all is you study marketing?

  • I don't think the concept is ridiculous, but I do think the presentation is....BUT, it does get the point across and it does get your attention. You may think it's dumb, but you won't forget it.I don't think dying your hair to get a better job is a stupid concept, but it is a tad over the top in sentimentality and sappiness. As I said, because of the way it's presented you will never forget it. Like it or lump it!

  • even cocain

  • totally agree, I study marketing as well.

  • That's a funny ad ... do you think if I dye my hair that I will magically get a year's free supply of wrigleys spearmint gum? Or maybe if I dye my hair someone will randomly give me free car washes for life. Anything is fucking possible if you dye your hair. lol

  • the reason why this stupid young snot doing the video does not "get it" is because he is too young to understand. Going to a job interview at 50 years old snow white hair is not a good idea. Any edge you can get helps.....laser teeth whitening, hair color, how you are dressed etc

  • I bought 4 boxes of Just for Men for my english sheepdog and had enough left over for my balls.

  • haha

  • @GasVein quite possibly the greatest comment ever

  • @GasVein this is by far the best comment i have ever seen on youtube!

  • you are a massive douchebag

  • all Just4Men commercials are absolutely horrible.

  • Bro...you went to school for Marketing...You don't know Crap about Marketing....LOL!@

The product manufacture, hired some MBA's, Advertising Firms and Marketing firms to do their research before airing commercials like these...

"Duh...i wonder if test marketed the comm.concept first....whad do you think BooBoo?"

haha....(you went to school for marketing)...that's funny!

  • dude, is america ANYTHING other than this? no

  • In your case; however, all you need to do is just shave and get rid of that goatee and then you may move mountains as well. lol

  • Yes and he also looks a bit like President John F. Kennedy. I tell you just dying your hair can move mountains, really. lol

  • LOL. That WAS hilarious...haha.

  • I toootally agree with you, i laughed for a good 10 minutes with the commercial of some guy's daughter.

  • And hey: guy who posted the video and decided to also play MC. Don't get your goatee into a twist over my earlier comment. I think black caps are cool and especially when they are creased slightly. You have a pretty cool apartment that I imagine came with a furnished kitchen. Brad ya later.

  • haha

  • I don't quite see why you find it SO amazing. Its well known that employers prefer younger people, if you look old yourself, then you look old to your employer, and you look old to your client. Its as simple as that. And yes if he got a new job, he might be earning more, so could afford for his son to go to university. Its all very simple really.

  • to moroseo: for some reason people posting here just don't seem to "get it". They are obviously too young to grasp this. Going into a job interview looking like prime nursing home material with white hair is not a good idea. The first thing any professional job placement service (head hunter) hill tell you is to look more youthful.....this means a contemporary hair cut, dye job and wardrobe

  • im a black dude who went to school for marketing....i love that shit! LOL. im looking fort the one where the dad gets a box from his daughter, and he gets a job too! RAW SHIT!

  • The ad was shit I agree but your faggy voice was even more annoying.

  • the ad is "shit" to you....because "you" are not the target audience. Try being 50 years yet looking like 70 and desperately needing a job. You will go for and edge you can get.....and in todays culture....looking young is important....especially when the person who is interviewing you is 30 years younger than you are. Ahhhh the ignorance and arrogance of youth.

  • LOL NICE

  • if i were a man id go and buy me some of that stuff!

    im convinced!

    :P

  • Damn, that was some stupid shit. Horrible advertising.

  • m 58 yo got to dye my hair, have hot date with 21 yo tonite. lol

  • I am not so sure that this is a stupid commercial. You would have to find out if sales went up after this campaign. Keep in mind that companies do not want to hire older people for a variety of reasons (with some industry exceptions). So not looking like Grandpa at the interview couldn't hurt. As someone who is 55 years old ..... this really hits home to the target market. My wife got laid off and had to go job hunting....first thing she did was get a dye job.

  • All right man, I'm not sure what kind of associates degree you got in Being Into Farty Old Fucking Grandpas, with a minor in Marketing, but i hope that next time you shoot ink out of your ass vital organs come out.

  • to jgische: I have no idea what your comment means.

  • The acting in that commercial is awful!

  • LOL he's a loser until the hair was dyed and he's rich.

  • this commercial was so ridic i had to look it up on the internet!

  • rofl rofl rofl... the kid is the valedictorian of his highschool... and hes going to a polytechnical school... most polytech schools aren't colleges, and the ones that are colleges are the low-quality sort of colleges... i went to a stupid school and almost everyone in the top 20% went to a university lol

  • omg love the poster at 1:01 1:02 ! XD

  • lmao. i sawthis lastnight. as soon as i saw the "Just for Men" box... i was like wtf?

  • maybe I should take that interview after all

  • W O W just wow out of touch dosent even describe this

  • Oh boy...this conversation is absolutely hilarious. Someone says that Colin didn't graduate and wasn't even saying anything mean, then Colin goes on the Internet to look at himself in a horrible commercial and he sees that people are talking about him. Then he goes off on how he is an actor and model and did graduate. Where did he graduate from? Then more people begin to make fun of Colin for the first time on here. Oh and just to clarify iwbauder, he was in the abercrombie for kids store.

  • HAHA that was funny. We can see you are acting, not working out to good is it! Plus you graduated with what? EMT and firefighting is a one week course.

  • "Neotrunks2002" hope you remember me.. I Graduated and am working as a Fire Fighter/EMT. Not to mention acting and modeling. You should watch what you say about people.. its a small world.

    Colin Blyther

    P.S. still stuck in Nampa?

  • 1. I go to NNU too, and I don't remember you giving a speech like that at commencement.

    2. so apparently in between rescuing people and acting douchey on television you troll the internet for videos of yourself.

    3. that said, i loved your abercrombie ads.

  • omg this is ridiculous this commercial makes no sense at all its like the father is saying he has to dye his hair just to get a job. lol where is he going to work mcdonalds or something like that

  • Comment removed

  • thank god. i thought i was the only one who saw how utterly ridiculous this commercial is.

also id like to add that it makes less sense than even the poster knows. look on the banners at the graduation. its his grad from high school. even more unrelated.

so it goes from accepted to polytech, money problems, job interview, JUST FOR MEN, high school graduation. and were still left wondering how the hell just for men plays a part in the plot of this commercial. im utterly astounded.

  • I don't know why the kid even went to college, apparently the only thing you need to get a good job is black hair.

  • I just saw this commercial (and have before) and just youtubed it to see it again it was just that bad. So glad to see someone else agrees. You can't just see it once to appreciate its true lameness.

  • My freind and I died for the next 5 minutes of utter laughter.

This commercial is so pathetic it raises the bar.

There's another commercial out about 6-hour energy thats also really sexual and also very pathetic.... but nothing close to this.

  • This is my favorite commercial because it's sooooooooo ridiculous. Everytime I watch it I'm like "wtf?"

  • Oh man. You thought the same thing too?

Not only that its misplaced, it also teaches horrible values.

  • I need to get me some Just for Men.

Then ALL my dreams will come true!

    :D

  • holy shit i just saw this and i said the exact same thing..at first i was like.."oh maybe its about getting a loan or somethin" but when the just for men shit came up i was blown away..

  • ME TOO
