Nike is an interesting company from a marketing perspective and they have picked some weird names to sponsor: Tiger Woods who is a serial cheater and a psychopath but Nike cannot live without him as his name has created Nike's (previously non-existent) golf range, Armstrong who is allegedly a cheat of a different kind and in their latest ad for the FIFA world cup they let a guy who's not even good enough to make it to the squad be the central figure. Nike really needs to get a grip...

This ad is creepy. How on Earth does this translate to selling shoes? First, they twisted his dad's words, it was never about Tiger. Even if those words were about him, that should be used for personal PR, not for selling a product, if at all. I'm surprised that nobody in the ad agency that produced this didn't see how bad of an idea this was. Does this ad really make you want to go buy Nike products for your child? @JBizhot It's not because of his cheating specifically. You are missing the point. I don't find him very credible. Why would I purchase something from someone who I do not find credible? I do not find him credible and I'm not particularly interested in anything he has to say so Nike are not attracting me to their products by using him. Simple as that.
