Hey man not a bad rig you got yourself there, the video card is deffinetly the strong point of your rig, if you overclocked your cpu a bit higher, you could truly unlock the true potential of your video card. I have my Intel Q6600 at 3.2GHZ and absolutely destroy any game and Crysis at Ultra High Settings at 1680X1050 with the Natural Mod at a smooth fps. Of course the rest of my system is up to spec so no bottlenecks occur, but try overclocking your cpu a bit higher for future proofing.

Could this be from running the game on vista, would it be worth trying a dual boot with XP (never done before)? btw my ping is around 30-50 (depending on server, but generally relatively low)

I run it smoot on 1600 x 1050 too with only one of my ATi XT1900XT so this isnt really proving much. It will be good to see the full game though with full graphics, see how it goes and looks then.

8800 GTS runs this max with no slowdown at all.
Can also run Crysis with Shaders set to high and Textures set to Medium.
