guile is the only one whose air throw can toss so many ultras out of their places...

that's because his air throw has a range of 1.25, everyone elses' air throw has only 1.1 range, which gets hit by the ultra rather than throwing without being hit.

just try throwing blanka's ultra with cammy or chunli or something, you'll eat the full thing, but guile's range is so wide, that's what makes him having a higher priority.

Note, even zangief can't throw blanka's ultra with any of his throws +ultra

Zangief and Dhalsim Ultras are the best. They cannot be stopped.

Dhalsim can get hit while spitting the fireball, but the move works no matter what. And he's the only one that can attack immediately after his Ultra move. Great advantage indeed.

As for Zangief, well, it's much simple. If you're close, don't even try, let the pad and say 'good-bye'...

I have actually practice air throwing different char recordings in practice mode. and while guiles throw has awesome priority alot of those throws, the timing has to be perfect. From a certain distance I can air throw blanka out of his ultra almost everytime. I have received numerous rage mail from it lol.

Oh yea I agree with you there but I was talking about specifically this game for ps3 online versus xbox live. A lot of people don't talk on st4 online what so ever, it's kind of a boring game to play online if you're a social person but to play this on xbox live just ruins all fun, seriously. I played on live for a week with this game and just stopped playing because (not a made up figure) 90% of the people I vs. were indeed ken/ryu and would indeed spam the same shit over and over again.

You say Ken is noobish, but you're using the best characters in the game, with Sagat and Ryu being nearly identical to Ken.

fully mastering blanka takes a crazy amount of skill compared to any of those basic characters such as akuma, ken, ryu, dan and sakura.

It's pretty easy to abuse a character like blanka online vs people in the 2000BP and below catagories, simply because he isn't very common and the ways to counter his moves aren't readily apparent at first (for instance, electricity seems to trade or overpower most moves used against it at first, took me a long time to figure out how to beat that). Also his ultra is gay son.

Well it's not just the elec being easy to abuse, I feel all of his specials are incredibly easy and safe to abuse at a *low level* of play. He either bounces back too far on block to not really be punishable, or it turns into a cross up, or he can do a short little ball into a grab and oh god go away jungle man.

umm, hate to burst your bubble, but master Ryu is hardly easy. You need precise spacing to become really good with him, a feat that is not easy to accomplish. Ryu has an insane spacing game. And you can't master Ryu without knowing good spacing. Just because any newbie can mash out his moves does not mean he is easy to master. 'no character in Street Fighter is easy to master. Know characters options, tricks, footsies, zoning patterns, combos takes a long time to get down precisely

Thats just a style of play, your not required to space with him but you can depending on who your fighting.

It don't take as much skill as you think to keep away from your opponent. It just narrows down to a guesing game. Whether or not he times his jump right and so on. But my point of posting my first comment is that guile should not be able to grab blanka whilst performing an ultra, it should be impossible. It's ridiculous.

Yes you are required to space with Ryu. If you're not fighting anyone decent then yes it's not required. But you MUST master spacing in order to master Ryu. There are no if and or butts about it. Ryu fireballs can be used offensively and defensively. Knowing how to use them in any given situation is nothing a newbie can do. And yes keep away takes a lot of skills. Especially if you plan to zone and keep away with Ryu. He doesn't have an unbreakable keep away
