i need to know this!. i already cut off and striped the wire on the controller but not on the little sprit part of the controller towards the end. its the wire like halfway down the coard. so if i connect a usb end and plug it in the pc. with a memory card in it will the computer read the card still? if anyone can help me PLEASE REPLY! i did everything u said it worked i was playing halo for about 2 hours. i unpluged it and tried to see if it would work again.........................­....it didn't. i re did everything and the controller neva worked again. the controller was old anyways. thanks for the vid. ima try it again

I was wondering the same thing dude, I had a windows vista computer awhile back and used this mod to play my emulated games with, it worked perfectly to a T, never had any trouble with it, and now I cannot seem to get it to work on my windows 7 PC, it is unbelievably frustrating and I'm thinking about just going out to buy a god damn pc controller. Shit is so frustrating >.>

done it all connected the wires so installed the driver then plugged in the controller ( i have the saitek adrenalin racing wheel tho ) it installs it and device manager recognises it but the XBCD setup utility doesnt see it

Tested it on my stepdads machine last night, after converting mine to usb. Drivers worked great, controller worked smoothly.

Just wish I could use it on my 360 :(

One of your other drivers is overriding the controller driver... you probably installed something new that needed a serial bus hub

they do have a vista driver. You people are just a bunch of lazy asses who cant run a simple search on google. I got my controller working on vista....SO YES, there is a vista driver. Google aint a site for scientist. A simple form of bacteria can work it.
