I have watched some of her videos performing and I noticed that she makes facial expressions while she is singing which makes me to think that she wants to bring her attention more than her singing, another thing, on this interview the whole picture of her came out, she doesn't have class as a soprano, the way she answered the questions the 'Lady Style' on her is very poor, rock & roll girls singers are much better class girls than her, Maria Callas was a first class soprano lady on her days.

We both agree that Callas and Netrebko are sopranos, and Bartoli is a mezzo, and that her performance on stage is poor. But she is still considered by many "a Diva" and even called "GODDESS"! For me it's nonsense, but many people really think so! Actually, I think that an excellent mezzo is better than a bad soprano and can be called "Diva", but it's definitely not Bartoli's case! If she really cares about her voice and the paying audience, she would not shout her phrasings but instead should give precise control of dynamics and give more dedication to her singing than shopping (for revealing outfits). She should study with a great teacher. There are people who practice 8 hours a day but they can't comprehend the score so they end up singing the same or even worse than that.

Additionally, English is obviously not her best language, so phrases can be translated and change into an attitude not intended, which I'm sure is the case here. She worked very hard to get from being a cleaning janitor in a theatre to getting an audition.
