  • @heef62 I couldn't have said it better my self.

  • 1 tire fire

  • wow glad to see the 8.2 hotchkiss rear end has not blown up on you ye.t it will happen soon enough. i own a 1960 chevy. [ 12] 8.2's and counting. time to go with a 9 inch ford.

  • goooodddddddaaaammmnn son that was QUICK

  • Mannn ive got a 62 impala aye, dad left me it before he went, same colour and all, one day ill i hope to get it restored :(

  • this is pretty much my favorite video, I just love how that big body gets gone!

  • This is one of my favorite videos, love how that big body gets gone!

  • I..LIKE IT!!

  • What kind of exhaust do you have? Sounds badass

  • @Joenm10 custom full length 2 1/8 tube header, into 3" exhaust all the way to the stock location. All mandrel bent, tig welded, ceramic coated, 2 chamber flowmasters. Yes it is loud when you jump on the throttle.

  • Jesus H

  • Hope my '63 turns out like that, nice car!!!!!!!!

  • @camflex66

Thanks for the compliment, what are you doing to your 63

  • @quik9r Hi quik9r, i'm building a 350 / 400hp sb and sticking a Richmond 4-speed behind it. If I may ask, what did you do about a rear end for your car? I know the stock ones are good for 1 or 2 hole shots and they're done. My 64 I had some 25+ years ago went through a bunch of them. Any suggestions?

  • @camflex66

we are still using the stock rear with a 3:36 posi and a stock 14" tire! If there is no traction no fear of breaking the 17 spline axles. My other car is a 409 with 3:70 posi and have pounded on it for 25 years with no issue. If money is not issue 9" ford looks stock from underneath or find 12 bolt form 65 chevelle is about the correct width.

  • @quik9r Thanks for the info,I will put it to good use. I'm running L-60 14's on the rear, with stock rims which may offer some degree of grab so there will have to be something different under it, i'm sure.. You did a fabulous job on this car, thanks for posting !!!

  • Get that guy some Posi.

  • @stoker20

It's funny you say that because at the time we were building a new complete posi for

the car. It has had a posi for the last two years since the video, thansk for the comment

  • nice.

  • Im going to reminisce, sorry everyone. When I was a kid I begged my father to buy me a car for christmas. We lived on a lot of land and I could drive the car all over the property and never have to go on the road as I wasnt old enough to get my license yet. I think the year was 1971 and my dad paid $25 for a 1962 Chevy Bel Air, same color as this one but it had a six cylnder. Best christmas present I ever got and for a kid to get a car I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Love you Dad.

  • awsome Video, thank you - Guys Check my profile

  • nice ride! old skool coolllllll

  • Thats crazy man!!

  • 3rd gear chirp?? NASTY!!

  • kick ass i need me one of theeeeeeeessssse

  • Is that a 409 W engine punched and stroked to 502 or one of the new crate motors. Nice car either way.

  • the stroked 409 (480 cid)is on the engine stand, the car has an iron head 502 with dual 4's, looks like a stock 409 under the hood except the valve cover shape.

  • So this is an original 409 car with a replacement crate motor. I know there are some weakness points in the original 409,but nowadays they can be fixed. Nice ride.

  • Skreething 3rd !! Fucking Sick!!

    Beautiful Car Bro !

  • its a 409 dawg

  • maybe that was the original engine but its got a 502 in her now

  • aww,fuck yeah!!!!!!!

  • good god

  • thats cool

  • Any more video of the 62 strutting around town at a slower speed , or the engine idle, exhaust rumble,or the body, it looked to be blue with a white top.

  • Small tire, and lots of torque!

  • I did not speed up the film. The video was shot and posted, Why do you ask?

  • @quik9r He asked cos he's one of them retards what thinks all old cars are slow. Complete mong probably drives a skoda.

  • @hotdogcib: Don't have to speed up the film. That's what a 502 can do: smoke the tires at that speed.

  • @hotdogcib you can tell he didnt speed up the time by watching the cars in the background. plus its a 502.

  • This is what the word "car" really means....awesome

  • Wow! What a Rocket! I'm sure you won't turn on the radio, enjoying this Rock'n'Roll engine! Hope once to have something like this to do some 'nice' cruising with my mother, hahaha!

  • Factory radio delete car!

  • hell yea that thing hauls ass!

  • Getting loose in 2nd = nice car!

  • Hey! Looking good.

  • I have one the same color but my engine is a 350...

  • Holy Shit That Was Quick, I Should Post My 62 Impala, Only It Got A 350 ROLF! But Ya Great Car!

  • son of a bitch. that thing is awesome.

  • looks good, have you weighed the car with the 502? any trips to the dragstrip yet?

  • I would expect the car to weigh the same as a stock 409 car would, the car may be going down the track this weekend if the weather stays nice.

  • wow

  • I always wanted one of those. They were a great car. Thanks Bluegibson for sending this one and thanks for posting.

  • i think the tires keeps on spinning until the 3rd gear

    thats crazy

  • sweet!!! moves pretty good too

  • OLD SCHOOL!!!

  • more videos please

  • nice!

  • hell ya!

  • love that beauty only wish I could have a car like that

  • Big car bitch! thats looks pretty fast.... Good car bro. Faster than some cars posted here and how they say 500+HP... People imagine horse power a lot..... Imagination is a strange thing...

  • Sweet Jesus! Now you've just got to try and get the traction to put it all into the ground! Gorgeous car!

  • with the posi in now it seems to hook better, i would rather it break losse than twist the two piece shaft or break the 17 spline axles! Thanks for the kind words.

  • jesus christ!!!!

  • holy fuckin shit

  • tsssss thats one bad ride

  • haha sounds like mine, i have a '63 with about 8 inches of str8 pipe :) u can feel it in your chest when it's idleing

  • that a fast motha fucker big block boat!!!!

  • sweet 62' fix the muffler!

  • Turn down your hearing Aid!!

  • WOW! Sweet old Chev!!!

  • HOLY SHIT !!!!!!!!!!

  • god dam that was quick :S

  • nice car man, but no posi diff.? why?

  • This was within the first month of the car during shakedown. We were not sure what gear to run but since the video we have a 3:36 posi. Thanks for comments

  • sounds like a good setup.

  • how effin cool is that? big ole chevy iron all wuppin ass.. :-) too cool man..

  • I love the post window cars. They always seem to be faster (lighter!). This is a car to be proud of. Nice, nice job!

  • Based on other comments, I am confused - is it a full frame off restoration or a cleaned up mod with a 502?

  • The car is a frame off rotesserie restoration and we had the 409 ready to go into the car when we came up with the 502. This car is bone stock except for drivetrain. The 502 at first glance looks like a GM piece very tastefully done. First indoor show (Canada's largest, Performance World)it cleaned up with 6 awards including GM award of excellence. No trailer queen, this spring the Track!

  • Check out my 62 Biscayne with a 502. Search 62 Biscayne and it should come up. I would like to compare notes with you if you are interested. My car was featured in the July issue of Super Chevy magazine.

  • Good video, I like the sound and look of the car, send me a PM and we can compare notes.

  • stalker!

Bad ass car, and that was an awesome rolling burnout. A+

  • Bad Car!! What's under the hood?

  • 502 BBC 2x4 with big tube headers and 3" exhaust out the stock location

  • NICE!!

  • Thank you

  • Even from a Mopar fan, I have to say, EXCELLENT!!

By the way, the main reason I went Mopar was I got tired of breaking Chivvy drive trains. Even Muncies aren't all that strong. the first owner of my six pack RR broke the main drive gear (shaft) right off his Muncie in his 65 Chevelle, running a warm 350hp 350 out of a 67 Camaro, back in 68. He broke at least 3 rear ends in that time.

  • Thanks, Hope to post a few more vids soon. Any vid of that 440 haulin?

  • nope, I haven't had one for years. In my day, I owned a fair 69RR, 383, headers, Holley 780, Edlebrock, and the '70 440 6 pack, headers, Edelbrock, 750/800/850 Holley, later a 340 instead of the 440. Also a 64 Dodge Polara 440 with a 426. I've always like 'oh-9's, though. Coolness factor

  • Sweet!!!!!!!

  • i have herd a couple times at cruise nights that Aubrey Bruneau may not be the most honest person to deal with something about takeing a guy for his money

  • What does that have to do me or this video? who are you

  • wow that thing is a boat but it was still chirping the tires in 3rd gear, awesome

  • That thing has some fucking balls.

  • Very well put in your video, takes a strong car to start burning the tires at 15 mph and catch rubber in all gears as it goes out of sight... Great Video!

  • only AMERICAN V8
