BADASS! Top notch performance and a pleasure to listen to.... I'm quite the Hendrix fan too.
How is the L1 treating you guys? It's too hard for me to see but how many are you using? Are you monitoring multiple instruments through one L1 and if so, how does that work for you? Have you found any limitations to monitoring multiple instruments through one L1?
@BornIntoMusic We only have the one tower at the moment, and it's enough for what we use it for as our stage volume is much more controlled than most bar bands. Here we had 3 vocal mics and my bass plugged-in. We now run it with 2 vocals, the kick drum and my bass (we don't even use a bass amp at times)
As far as limitations go, if your musicians follow the "louder is better" philosophy, the Bose won't do. But with a very professional and controlled stage volume, it sounds like nothing else.
@TomRCJ Thanks for responding. Do you as far as the Tone Matching is concerned, you probably don't use that while multiple instruments are plugged in?
@TomRCJ Thanks for the response. When monitoring multiple instruments you probably don't use the tone matching system, right? My band just finished a couple outdoor gigs where we needed our own PA. system. Took us over an hour to set everything up. If I can get just one of these and do it in less then 10 mins, that would be such a blessing considering I end up doing most of the work. Which is fine with me because I'm also the audio engineer for the group. :)
@BornIntoMusic The thing is it took us about a year to really learn how to use the Bose tower. It's a very different system from conventional P.A. systems. But the tone-match is real nice. If you plug in a SM58 the tonematch has a pre-set for it, same with a long list of other mics & instruments. No matter what you plug in there's a pre-set close enough for you to use. But you still get to adjust the EQ, the reverb, compression, notch EQ for feed back busting on top of the tonematch pre-amp.
@TomRCJ Once you get used to how the sound comes out of the tower, it gets easy to use, but there's was a lot of trial and error. With a usual P.A. we were used to having to flood the room with sound. That's not how the Bose works, it takes some getting used to. We used it a few times outdoors, but I don't remember if we ever used it in an open field. I don't know how far the sound will carry. It does work great in back yards, patios & street gigs like busking.
@TomRCJ As for multiple inputs, when we do so we use a Mackie mixer that we plug into the stereo input (channel 4-5). Then we plug vocal mics into the pre-amps on the Bose to use the tonematch and other effects. We just found out that Bose now offer a separate power supply for their "brains" (the little mixer that comes with the tower). With an extra brain we could potentially have 6 XLR inputs and 1 stereo input. But the brains are a bit costly, so we haven't tried it yet.
By the way, would anyone know why youtube isn't counting views on this video anymore? When I check my views, I see 5-10 new "unique" views a day, but the count has been stuck at 305 for weeks now. Oh well.
We'll have more vids up once we go over the hours of video we have on file. We have about 10-15 gigs worth of stuff to go over. If we find something good, or at least tolerable, we'll post it up.
I love the band especially the guitar.....was the guitar plugged into the L1 or a guitar amp?

Nasty feedback, and right on the limit most of this song. Did you find what instrument or mic was doing that?
