my dad worked 2 jobs ,yes 2 jobs from 1961 to 1970 ,9 yrs of no time off to give my brother sister and mother a good life. in 1972 i saved for a year and bought my dad a 1972 Oldsmobile Delta 88 with a 350 2 barrel. it was his first ever new car,we had a Dodge Dart before that for yrs,my father weeped like a child he never thought his 19 yr old son would get him a new car. he worked himself to exhaustion for us he deserved that car,i love and miss you dad.

The 440 was not the biggest engine in the 60's. Actually, Cadillac had a 472 in 1968, and Ford had a 460 in 1968 as well.
