  • wish me and my dad had a relationship like tht :(

  • hahaha! yes he is happy..

  • good video man!!!

  • Comment removed

  • you're absolutely awesome for doing this dude..

  • I wished I could have done something like that for my father, before his passing.

John and his familys efforts for his Dad? Priceless

  • I would take this beast instead of those shitty exotic cars like Ferraris that rich bastards get. Sure, top speed of 200mph. But the speed limit is 60, so who cares?

  • I won't pass from this life without doing this for my dad.. He's done way too much for me and my family for me not too... Lol Awesome video man

  • Okay I just fell in love with that darling friend of yours. John you are wonderful

  • what is on the shirt

  • Where was he going at the end of the video? Back to work I'm sure! what a great guy

  • amazing video - thank you for posting it up :)

  • One of the best video's on youtube and the song is perfect too

  • Nice!

  • my father thinks i am a basterd,.

so i never have to buy him a new ride,.

  • This is great. I know how much my dad wants a classic to remind him of his younger days, espescially the 67 vette. wish i could do this for him. cudos man!

  • That's great man. Good job. I wish i could do that for my Dad.

  • Anyone see the dislike bar?? Ya me neither lol. I hope ur dad liked the car!

  • LOL, 26 OF THESE PEOPLE DONT HAVE A DADDY TO GIVE A CAR TOO.... HAHAHAA

  • @Nre21302 We just get to keep them for ourselfs.

  • @puremaplesyrup22 well, when ur able to have enough money to get a car for someone else, im sure you'd have enough money to afford a car for our self's also, selfish! lol

  • @Nre21302 That wasn't a money responce comment. It'd be rude to buy your father's dream car, and not let him have one. My father's was a 996 c4, he passed before getting one. I recently got one in November as I have a love for 911s myself. I would have gave him mine if still alive, and not got the same car as him.

  • @puremaplesyrup22 oh, and never took the father being passed away into consideration i guess.. was more of the fathers that left on their own terms, i get cha tho

  • my dad worked 2 jobs ,yes 2 jobs from 1961 to 1970 ,9 yrs of no time off to give my brother sister and mother a good life. in 1972 i saved for a year and bought my dad a 1972 Oldsmobile Delta 88 with a 350 2 barrel. it was his first ever new car,we had a Dodge Dart before that for yrs,my father weeped like a child he never thought his 19 yr old son would get him a new car. he worked himself to exhaustion for us he deserved that car,i love and miss you dad.

  • love this video man

  • I've honestly had soo many dreams of doing exactly this for my father, even down to the little details about the gas card. I envy you man all my dad does is give but never takes. I wish I could do this for him someday.

  • njhjjhjhjhjhjhjhjjhjhjhjhjhjhjjhjjhjhjhjhjhjhjjhjhjhjhj

  • jn

  • That would have sucked if he wrecked it on the way there haha

  • WHOA! ...WHERE DID YOU GET THAT HUGE BOW!?!?!?!

  • and they said money can't buy happiness...... take that losers!!!

  • you know he didnt want to go back to work

  • This needs to happen more then those ridiculous sweet 16 car presents. God has blessed you guys with a good family. I loved watching this.

  • WOW! Way to go man! What a great son. :)

  • wow man seriously ? i wish i could do this for my father , god knows he deserves it . Great job wow what a great great son you are.

  • And to think some people's children can't be bothered to show their parents appreciation with something even as simple as a "Thank you" or "I love you" That was a really great thing.Oh and great taste in vintage iron. MOPAR!!!

  • That actually made me tear up

  • great video! what a nice guy.

  • 26 people don't know what is like to say thanks to a father.

  • Some people idolize rock stars, celebrities, actors etc... The people that earn our love & respect, show us the way, care about us, they are the ones who we should never forget. Your Dad has taught you well, he's your hero always. God Bless you forever.

  • as i wipe away the tears i say to you-you rock!!

  • A W E S O M E

  • wish i could have done that before my old man passed!! great job man!!

  • That is so nice of him. He has earned my respect! Sweet car too!

  • very nice

  • Chevy ripped this off for a commercial recently by having a guy find his dads original chevelle and film him giving it to him

  • Im getting my dad a Porsche 911 (930) Turbo one day his dream car

  • aww man i cried watching, i cant wait to get my dad his 57 chevy pickup 350 before it was impoundedf forever

  • fucking classic

  • 240p, we meet again

  • what a horrible son.

  • JUST WOW

WHAT A GREAT SON YOU ARE!

  • Give that man a klondike bar! He deserves it. lol

  • To father De and son John ...

this video is the BEST 7:36 I have spent all day. Stellar story. Amazing gratitude on your part John, and you both are a class act! (how about a follow-up video with updated story?)

  • what a great video!

  • cool car thanks

  • "days of caring" Yes

  • great video, does it have rotating headlights?

  • Green Hornet?

  • Great vid!!

  • Good boy. Good man. Great son! I was watching and waiting to see that hug from dad. That got me. :'¬) I hope you took a good ol' road trip with you dad in that epic car.

. My last hug from my dad was the day before he died from cancer in '99. Rest his soul.

  • @eatexlaxlikecandy probily all the fiddling he did wid ure bumhole tut tut

  • This was one of the best 'feel good' videos I've seen. What a great Dad and appreciative son.

  • Hahaha, Nooo way!

  • thats a f'in sweet mopar, what a great son

  • this is so nice. It only I can afford to buy my dad a car. But I can't, I will just give him a 50inch HD TV :)

  • @20PinoyAdik10 That would be a great gift too! Bring him some classic movies remastered in Blu Ray and you're done!

  • awwwwwwwwwb:( :))

  • OMG!!! Dude U ROCK!!! Your family is AWESOME and your Dad is Too COOL!

  • Dude your fucking cool.

  • Most guys would give dad a Chevy, to give a hotrod Coronet with a 440, that's class! That car must haul, too,it can burn rubber for half a block I'm sure! I know a bit about big block chryslers, they were about the best running big block V-8's that the US produced.

  • Great Story. This truly shows how hard work and caring for others will reward you in the future

  • I love the story man!!!!

  • well done...

  • cool car

  • where at in oregon?

  • Wonderful video.. brought tears to my eyes.. as my Dads no longer around.. But to see the love and respect that young man showed his Dad was wonderful.. Big Thumbs up

  • Comment removed

  • awesome gift bro

  • Well done boy. !!!. My dream was to give my dad an impala.. maybe someday day i'll have that satisfaction.

  • That is so awesome that a son would buy and rebuild a great looking hotrod for his father...I was moved by love that this family shares and the willingness to make dad a very happy man...............

  • hell of a man

  • I got my dad an MGB GT

  • That's awesome man, To have a chance to make your Dad happy like this is very cool. Spend as much time with him as you can, you never know when the good Lord will call any of us home. I know because he called my Mom and Dad home.

  • i would like go give my father a brand new TOYOTA HiLux 3.0 Diesel fully loaded for his birthday... dam i bet it'd feel gud..

  • Damn Its Good To See That Theres Still Good Fathers.

  • @LunaBalls1 What do you mean? There are bad mothers/fathers and good mothers/fathers all around. That statement you just said made it sound like its rare to see a good dad. Bit offensive.

  • @sacr3 Well, A lot of fathers run away from their kids. Me for example, I don't have a father. No intentions to offend anyone.

  • @LunaBalls1 Yea, and a lot of mothers neglect their kids and have them grow up with psychological problems. Like me.

  • @sacr3 Ohhh Ma Bad Homie.

  • wow! I hope my lads are as generous as you when they are all grown up! respect to you mate

  • Beautiful man, this is the kind of thing I hope to one day do for my dad. Sadly my dad's all time car love affair happens to be a Ferrarri Dino sooooo it wont be his dream car but I'll figure something out

  • @ITS4390 lol good luck! who knows, you might hit the lotto (lottary)

  • @babyzachariot lol just rewatched and realized you said only 250 were ever made dunno if you meant in that paint code or just a 67 Coronet with 440 mag ... but a Burgundy ext black vynl int 440 Mag 67 Coronet just went up for sale on the edge of my neighborhood lol

  • Really really poor choice of song in the background. You must've just googled "father and son" and made short work of it. Fucking lazy, and stupid. And it's a nice story. What a shame.

  • If his boss was a real car guy, he would have gave him the rest of the shift off paid, so he could go enjoy his car haha

    Awesome video

  • If my parents are still around when I start earning some decent money I hope to reward them too.

  • uhhh auto or 3 on the tree

  • Awesome video nothing else to say...great people-great car-great memories...keep up the good work bro!!!

  • beautiful..... and man you know your shit about cars...... :).. again love it thumbs up!!!

  • Who in the heck could dislike this?? This is possibly the most beautiful thing a son could do for his father. a billion thumbs up if I could give 'em.

P.S. that car is a beast!

  • I'm getting ready to give my Dad a 55 Mercury found in a barn, stored since 1965. This is a video of the dream I've had with my Dad, and I'm making it happen. My Dads' first new car was a 55 merc. This video has been on my mind for years. My dream is coming true. My Pop deserves it! Thanks for the inspiration.

  • I want to do the same for my dad. He had some tough times. I may buy him a 1965 shelby cobra. Wish i had the money

  • a great dad and great kid and a great car and what a way to show a tribute to all

  • i wanna do the same for my dad cuz he always wanted a 68 chevy impala but my mom wont let him have it so he only has a 84 chevy something and a 03 trailblazer. man i really wish i had money to do this

  • thats a bad ass car i love it.what a gr8 son good onya mate

  • what a fantastic video ! Uplifting and warm.

  • Dad's t-shirt speaks for himself!

He brought up his son rigtht for sure!

    Way to go, Dad!

  • My dad is a Big Andy Griffith Fan so I found him a 33,000 original 1962 Ford Galaxie 4 door and converted to the exact 1962 model from the show for him. He has always been by my side and I wanted to show him how much this meant to me. Now I have my own restoration shop and he is always amazed how I can turn nothing into a piece of art. Thanks Dad for everything you have done for me in my life.

  • I wish that I could afford to do something like this for my dad

  • who the hell disliked this

  • What a father to produce such a loving family!

  • This man is one lucky man, wouldn't mine having such a surprise myself. Mopar had beautiful sound coming out of them duels in those yrs, especially the way this one is equipped. Beautiful car my man,One lucky father. Pays off to raise a family properly, RESPECT & GOOD MANNERS which some don't have too much on here.Congratulations sir, not many sons are this good to their parents anymore now adays, not many at all. LOL, still wish I was in your shoes... ;)

  • Now that's a good son. Bravo!

  • I am envious and almost shamed. what a very right thing to do, i wish i had done something for my father in similar fashion.

and thanks for adding the cat stevens tune, it was so fitting.

    thank you sooo very much!

  • i know this will sound kinda lame. But this video brought me to tears, cuz I can relate to John about how he feels about his dad. I wish i could do the same for my dad, unfortunately im still in college and theres no way in hell i can afford it now. But one day i'll show my graditude to my dad. Thanks for the video.

  • The 440 was not the biggest engine in the 60's. Actually, Cadillac had a 472 in 1968, and Ford had a 460 in 1968 as well.

But anyways, awsome story and awsome car... I'm sure it was well deserved and I hope to be able to do something like this for my dad.

  • @72BlackonBlack exactly what I was yelling when he said that, but agreed it's a cool thing to do for your Dad.

  • @IamScott351W Who cares though maybe he meant biggest Dodge motor.

  • @Konformation07 lol its fine dude Iamscott351 is wrong cuz the 440 WAS the biggest motor built in the 60's the 454 from chevy and 455 from pontiac didn't roll in till 1970 at the end of 69 the 440 was still on top

  • @72BlackonBlack Who cares though

  • What an awesome gift... and I don't mean the car, but the thoughtful son. What a tribute a son has for his father.

  • Sweet ride =D

  • That car is fuggly!

  • damn right! now thats a good son!!!!

  • I came across this video after looking at videos of parents giving their 16 year old kids brand new vehicles. Good thing I did, cause I was pretty angry. This is the way it should be, not the other way around. This old man EARNED his gift, what did a 16 year old do for his/hers? Homework? LOL.

  • john this is so much

  • your a good son ;)

  • Why would there be dislikes on this video, you fucking shitheads.

  • I wish one day i can do this for my dad too, maybe not the same car but a car never the less

  • All I have to say is that this makes me wish even more so that my dad were alive just so that I could see the look on his face..

  • What a lovely video. Thank you for posting.

  • I wouldn't call it a classic car since he admits it was custom built, but this is still an awesome thing to do. He is truly one of the better people on this planet.

  • great man

  • How can anyone dislike this video?

  • AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why can't more sons be like this? 0___0

  • cool, class act, but you have to dump that Chevy you own and buy a real car like you gave your father !

  • super cool gesture man! those of us fortunate to have a pops to raise us and still be here are truly blessed. I hope I can do the same for my pops in a few years.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • at 3:53,, that reminds me of me when i sold my 71 riviera 455 big block, fat tires headers, tinted windows, lowered front and back and racing cam with an edel brock intake...just 4 weeks ago...

i told my friends i never want to see this car again but i was lying...

sometimes you have to sell something if you need the money...

  • 67 coronet 8-15,000

    leather jacket 200

    tank of gas 40

    seeing dads reaction PRICELESS

  • big thanks to your father & you can mod this car at any garage cars

you can change the engine & change the wheels & text some Text on the car back or front

  • Wow dude, much respect to you. That's one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I wish I could do something like that for my old man

  • i've always wished i could do something like that for my dad....

im glad you did it, at least i get to see what love looks like.....

  • Awesome video. I wish I had done the same thing when I gave my dad his car, mind you it is just a toyota supra, but I still remember the tears he got every time I seen him polishing up his christmas gift. Awesome to see someone else appreciates their dad as much as I do and can afford a little something special.

  • i really hope when i have kids they do this 4 me! ive been wanting to do this for my dad for a while now. I want to put his chevy cavalier on overhaulin so they can fix it up because my moms ford focus is going down the shiter.....

  • me too i've always wanted to surprise my perents with a BIG gift, just to make it clear that i appriciate all the things they have done for me and my brother...well for now no money no funny

  • @gregfiesta1 It's not always about the biggest gift, sometimes the small things can make even more of an impact.

  • @ukurio true but a 440 cu. in. is quite a nice gift lol
